Like many of you, I started my career before the internet transformed the way business is done. The things you once had to do to market a construction business revolved strictly around print. Today all you hear about is digital. What kind of marketing tactics make sense in this bipolar environment? This conundrum is an underlying theme for me. I work closely with our clients on this issue, but it also underpins the content I create to help all of you put your marketing dollars to work in the right places. Fraley Construction Marketing scored yet another publicity home run for specialty foundation equipment dealer Equipment Corporation of America. The setting for the latest job story campaign was Toronto, where Deep Foundations Contractors unleashed the largest fleet of BAUER Drilling Rigs in Canada on a massive light rail transit project. Originally written as a cover story for Foundation Drilling Magazine, Fraley secured permission from the magazine to earn additional publicity. The story has since run in nearly 10 relevant publications in the U.S., Canada, and Europe with more to come.

Watch the Construction of Michigan's Mackinac Bridge on Silent Film

This silent video and photos of Michigan's most well-known suspension bridge are a must-see. Over the course of 5:41, you'll see live footage of the brave workers and lifting and paving equipment that erected "Mighty Mac," currently the fifth longest suspension bridge in the world and the longest in the Western Hemisphere at 12,826 feet.
