Wicked Wish

The writing style is a smidgen young for me, but not a bad story on the whole. Dual pov, brother's best friend / friends to lovers kinda thing. As you'd expect, some racy sexy times. I think for me, the characters just didn't quite land, and I didn't have that "must keep going, I don't care it's after midnight" drive to finish this book.

I must confess that as a huge fan of Sawyer Bennett, I often read the blurb for the book and think I know exactly where the story is going to go. With the Wicked Horse series, I have come to expect all the naughtiest proclivities. With Wicked Wish, Sawyer taught me that she cannot be predicted. Jorie and Walsh have known each other since childhood and re-connect at the Wicked Horse at a masquerade event. This chance encounter reunites them under circumstances that are equal parts panty-melting hot, delightfully entertaining and cringe-worthy. Walsh is loyal to his friend and makes a valiant attempt to resist his best friend's little sister. But thank the heavens that Jorie is persistent and sets out to prove to herself and Walsh that she is the champion of her own sexuality. Jorie and Walsh don't see a lot of action inside The Wicked Horse. Instead, the story focuses on the building the chemistry and emotional connection of the characters outside of that setting. Overall, you can expect an engaging story and explosive sexual chemistry while perhaps keeping a few tissues on standby.

Review by Gina You know a book is good when you start reading and hours go by without you even knowing because you've been so wrapped up with all the words you have been reading. That's what this book did to me! The story just flowed so well, you would just keep reading and reading and nothing would faze you. So I loved the storyline! The forbidden romance to the story was the icing on the cake! It gave the story a little extra something that I loved! And of course, this book was HOT!!! This is one of the hottest series that I've read! Both the original and this spin off. SO GOOD! If you like your books with great characters, well written, and full of steamy hotness you must read this book! I don't think you will be disappointed! FMR BOOK GRIND
