Staff picks for Martinsville Cup race

Here’s a look at who the NBC Sports staff is picking to win today’s NASCAR Cup race at Martinsville Speedway.

Nate Ryan

Kyle Busch. At this point, I’ll pick him until he wins. But he also seemed fastest in Saturday’s practices based off speed throughout the run.

Dustin Long

Kyle Busch dominated this race last year. He hasn’t won yet. Joe Gibbs Racing and Hendrick Motorsports have yet to win. Give the edge to Kyle. He’ll be celebrating again at this track.

Daniel McFadin

Joey Logano. Since 2014, he’s done everything at Martinsville but win, earning three top fives, three poles and leading 456 laps.
Jerry Bonkowski

Ryan Blaney has finished 19th in his first two Cup starts at Martinsville, but he’s used to success at his home track -- three top fives and a top eight in five Truck starts there. It’s time for him and the Wood Brothers -- who haven’t won there since 1973 -- to have a big homecoming Sunday.
