They met when they produced films. Now, they produce candy.

But this is no ordinary candy, according to Michelle Allen, this candy has "no junk."

MMELO Boutique Confections, located in the Short North, was created by Michelle Allen and her husband, Paul Freeth.

"There's no junk in it," said Allen. "I don't use high-fructose corn syrup, and I don't use artificial flavors or colors."

Allen and her husband, Paul Freeth, lived in New York City and Spain before relocating to Central Ohio a few years ago to prepare for their craft candy shop.
