One day she's standing on my porch, and the next she's being held a prisoner in my house.

Retiring from the Marine Corps didn't mean I stopped serving the civilians of this great nation. Serving her would be my absolute pleasure.

I know why I said yes when she asked for help.

Her wild hair, long legs, and a mouth I'd love to teach a thousand lessons definitely weighed my decision in her favor.

Now, preventing the war she started when she arrived, that's the easy part.

Dominic (38) is technically not part of the Cerberus MC; he’s Kincaid’s older brother that has spent the last 20 years in the military. He has some hang-ups from an ex-wife and isn’t into relationships. Makayla is the daughter/sister of the former/current prez of the Renegade MC. She’s on the run from a psychotic member named Grinder.

This one has a darker feel than the previous books. Mak has been abused by Grinder since she was young, and there’s an aspect of underage sexual abuse. (talked about not on-page) It’s also kinkier with Dom preferring some light bdsm (dom/sub) sexytime. There’s more danger/action than we’ve seen in the other books. I found both mc’s likeable. Mak was a nice balance of strong yet vulnerable when needed. It was nice to get some background on the mysterious Dominic.

Potential issues- **Mak is coming out of a several years of abuse, and pretty quickly jumps on Dom with no real hang-ups. There’s a little there…especially trust issues, but some readers might find it unrealistic or unhealthy to jump from an abusive relationship to a dominant one.
**Some readers were looking for a Bri (Shadow’s sis) /Dom matchup. Bri (36) wanted in Dom’s pants BIG TIME in Shadow’s book, and it carries over into this one. (He’s never had anything to do with her) It’s pretty much a non-event and then she disappears after a few attempts.

Bottom Line- Other than the dom being named Dom, which was eyeroll worthy…I liked it. These are all free to read with KU. There’s a quick epilogue one-month out.

I feel like Marie James just keeps getting better. She's come to be one of those authors for me that I expect a great story from every time I read something by her. But it always ends up being even better than I expected. Dominic was no exception.

While Dom had been introduced in previous books and I thought I had an idea of what he might be like, I was in no way prepared for how much I would love him. Yes, sometimes he could be a jerk. And he was moody and temperamental on a good day. But at his core he had built walls to protect himself after being hurt before, and behind those walls was a really good man who deserved love.

His love ends up not being at all who I originally expected. But I actually loved her even more for him. Makayla is one of those characters that my heart bleeds for every thing they've been through, and yet I am amazed at their resilience and strength despite it all. She could easily have let her past break her. But she didn't. And her selflessness is pretty endearing.

With this story Marie James wrote something that grabbed me from the beginning, held on all the way through, and isn't going to let me go for a long time to come, if ever. This author is brilliant and I cannot wait to see what she comes out with next.

I can't even find words. I feel like everything will be a spoiler and yet nothing I say will help you understand how amazing this story is. I've been waiting to meet Dom in official capacity since we saw him at a Cerberus get together. GAH!!!!!!

I'll just say, Dom is the perfect "pull your hair, slap your a**, but open the door and carries in the groceries" type of man. He's my favorite Cerberus book and I love him! Hahaha

Makayla is a very strong character, I don't want to go on and on about Dom (okay yes I do), without mentioning how amazing Mak is! Dom and Mak are amazing together.

This book is everything I hoped it was going to be and it is HOT, call the fire department HOT!!

As book four in the series, this one certainly does not pale in comparison to the others. Escaping certain death, Makayla ends up on Dominic's doorstep. Covered in bruises, she needs help in a major way. There's a lot going on in the club her brother runs, and none of it's good. Dominic is a retired marine, and older brother of Kincaid. In helping Mak, he'll keep secrets that may cause a war between MC's.
I love the chemistry between the pair. They had a rough road to happiness but with help along the way, they can find their place. Both hurt in the past, they need to be able to open up and trust one another in order to stay safe. I loved this book and I can't wait for book 5!

Another outstanding book by Marie James. Dom's story was perfect! It was everything I'd hoped it would be from the little pieces we've been fed about him throughout the Cerberus MC series. He is definitely one sexy, kinky, bad@$$ alpha. Already itching for the next book!

When I first started this book, I was a bit hesitant but I kept at it and was blown away. Dom and Mak are incredible together! This is a game of will they or won't they get together.. one is running from a monster and trying to save a life while the other is a bad ass miltary/biker but has issues he hasn't moved on from. Mak has been through a lot in her life, mostly being treated like trash but has survived. She knows secrets but has no where to go.. Enter Dom.. while he's leary at first,he grows to love her. This isn't a insta love at all.. it more like a protect, trust and love comes last. While I thought this book was gonna be about the taking out the bad guys out, I was happy that it focused more on Dom,Mak and their growing relationship. Don't worry, the bad guys get taken out and everything falls exactly to plan. This book was really good and I can't wait to read the next book!

Title: Dominic (Cerberus MC #4)
Author: Marie James
Genre: MC Romance
Rating: 5/5

In this book we get to hear how Dominic the older brother of Kincaid finds himself being brought to his knees when a stunning Pink haired beauty comes to him for help and manages to worm her way under his skin and literally like her club name Poison she ends up flowing through his veins.

After being burned before Dom made a vow that no woman would get close enough to hurt him ever again but no matter how much he denies it Makayla "Poison" Evans the Renegade MC Princess has awakened feelings within him that he thought he'd never feel again but Makayla has secrets that are deadly not only to her they have the potential to start a war between the Cerberus and Renegade MC. Does Dom have it in him to help and protect Makayla whilst keeping his brothers safe? Read this and find out how things unfold I promise you won't be disappointed.

This is the fourth and in my opinion the best book in the Cerberus series so far, the storyline was brilliant and damn it was hot as in kindle melting hot move over Cerberus boys there's a new man in town and he's taken the top spot his name is Dom, Dominic and I'm claiming him I'd climb that fine specimen like a tree then cling on like an over-excited monkey.

5 out of 5 for this great book in a series that just keeps getting better and better.

I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book in return for an honest review.

I received an ARC of this book and have volunteered to leave a review. Marie James what can I say but another five star read, in actual fact Dominic's story deserves more stars than five. If you are a lover of the Cerebus MC series you will know that Dominic is the big brother of Kincaid the President of Cerebus MC. Dominic is not a patched in member but is part of the MC family. After a pink haired beauty lands on his doorstep needing his assistance as she runs from the Renegade MC. Mak aka Poison was born into the Renegade MC, only to have suffered abuse at the hands of one of the members since she was a young girl. You need to be warned Dominic is one hot ex Marine who will have you needing to take a very cold shower after you have read some seriously hot scenes. With all that put aside this book deals with some very serious issues of abuse and it is handled with great sensitivity and respect. Dominic's heart has remained dead for the past 20 years at the hands of the one woman he thought was his world but all it takes is this beautiful pink haired beauty to start to break his walls down. Their story is one of raw hot passion filled with the ultimate soul searing love that will have you falling in love with Dominic.

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review. I have been waiting for this book for a while now that I was so worried that I hyped it up too much and that I was going to be disappointed. Well I had nothing to worry about because Marie James has once again knocked it out of the park. I could not put this book down. I loved Dom and Mak I did not want the book to end and she kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. You start out hating Dom but quickly grow to love him after everything he has been through. I highly recommend this book.

That Girl is poison...

Okay, so I may be aging myself with the Bel Biv Devoe reference, however to Dominic, she really was poison to his orderly life until he got to know her better. As the fourth book in the Cerberus series, we get an inside look at Dominic, part-time Mc'er and the Renegade's princess herself, Poison.

While I wasn't privy to Dom or Poison (Makayla) from previous books, Marie James gives enough details as to not feel lost. Dominic is a man on a mission, to protect his heart at all costs. He was burned pretty bad by an ex and vowed to never end up in that situation again. He's a loner, with his younger brother and the MC as his only family.

Dom lived day by day, happy and as content as he could be, until a bruised and beaten Makayla shows up on his door step. Learning from the past, Dom will do what he can to help this damsel in distress, no matter what MC she "belongs" to.

"Trouble started the second you stepped out of the cab and your boots hit my front lawn."

Mak is trying to hold her cards close to the vest as to not get Dom any more involved in her business than she has already. While they knew of each other, they didn't have much interaction, which made for a more interesting story.

Dom is a loner by choice, yet seemed lonely and it was kind of sad. He was too nice of a guy to close his heart off for so many years. It was obvious that he was going to make Mak "his", but knows she's keeping some pretty dark secrets from him.

I liked Dom and Mak, liked them together, however I felt things moved pretty fast with the past this girl has. She is timid one minute and trying to jump his bones the next. Not really an in between. This irritated me at first, but Dom really ends up being a stand up guy and Mak a girl that deserves him.

"...the woman that has stepped into my line of sight is the angel I didn't know I've been waiting for all my life."

The book is well written from dual points of view and deals with some heavy subjects quite well. Marie James went THERE, but it wasn't gratuitous. Read with caution, the situations may be a trigger for some. While I read it as a standalone, I'm sure it's a good addition to the series as a lot goes down between the MC's when it's all said and done.

WOW! Another awesome addition to the Cerberus MC series. This is Dominic’s story. Dom, in case you haven’t kept up, is an ex Marine and the older brother of Kincade, the club’s President. Dom is tuff as nails will major emotional walls. He no longer believes in true love or lets any woman close since his ex’s betrayal almost 20 years ago. But when the sexy, pink haired sister of a rival MC club, Poison, shows up on his doorstep battered and bruised, he knows vow or not he has to help her. The more she confesses the more the Dominate in him knows he has to protect and help her.

This is a very emotional and thrilling storyline written in true Marie James fashion with laughter, tears, tenderness and of course hot sex. The men are true alphas, strong stubborn yet tenderhearted when it comes to their women. The women are smart sassy and have the power to bring these hardcore men to their knees. 2 Thumbs Up for a great read, one I highly recommend and one you definitely won’t regret 1-clicking!

Dominic Anderson is a former Marine and the brother of Kincaid, the President of the Cerberus MC. He largely stays away from club business but will sometimes hang around for the ladies or if his brother needs something.

Makayla "Poison" Evans is the sister of Brooks "Scorpion" Hanigan is the leader of the Renegades MC. She has endured so much pain and torture over the years of living at the club until she finally realizes how much danger she is and she escapes to Dominic's house.

When Dominic gradually hears Makayla's story he vows to protect her at any cost except at the cost of his heart. But he begins to need to be near Makayla and do what he can to protect her at any cost.

When the rest of the Cerberus MC hears Makayla's story will they be there for her or turn their backs on her when she needs them the most? Will Dominic learn to listen to his heart when it matters the most?

Wow - I absolutely love this series and the men in it!! I hope the author keeps adding more men so I get more stories.

This story was interesting as Dominic was not a real member of the Cerberus yet his choices put the club into jeopardy. I loved how he took Makayla in before he even really knew what was going on with her. He was very protective and I was amazed at how set up his house was for emergencies. I liked Dominic a lot but I was mad at how he let the memory of Karen interfere with his living in the present.

I can't believe how much Makayla put up with growing up and how nobody was able to protect her. It made me sick to see everything and I can't believe how much more she would have put up with if the situation with the FBI didn't occur. She was so strong yet vulnerable and needed a sense of protection and the feeling of being safe.

The attraction between Makayla and Dominic was huge yet both were so scared to reveal their feelings for one another. They both needed each other but didn't know how to move forward and be in a normal, healthy relationship. Their scenes together in the bedroom and in the shower were so hot!!

I was very surprised with Scorpion's reaction at the end! Happy though for sure! The ending was worth all of the pain my heart felt through the book and I am really looking forward to the next book!!

Dominic Anderson was burned when he was younger by the wife he loved, and now many years later, he knows exactly what he wants in life, and relationships are not in the cards. He just wants peace, simplicity, and solidarity with his brothers. After he retired from the Marines, he came to New Mexico to become a member of the Cerebus MC. Life was perfect until Makayla aka Poison Evans, a Renegade MC Princess, came knocking on his door, needing help. After seeing the bruises on her, he lets her stay with him for a couple of days, but the pink hair, and perfect body soon tempted him beyond control. If that's not enough drama, her secrets can ignite a war between the two MCs, and now Dom is struggling with keeping his word, and not betraying his brothers. I'm pretty sure that I've said this before about the books before, in this series, but Dominic is now my favorite, and I couldn't get enough, even after the last page. First of all, the emotional angst was off the charts gut wrenching, especially when a couple of times where Mak choose to sleep to feel safe, seriously affected me. Which also sprung a leak within my eyes. And while Dominic was mouthwatering sexy, I spent quite a bit of time wanting to throat punch him badly, as his demons made him cold at times. Together they scorched the pages on my kindle, as their fiery flames of sexy times ignited into panty destroying goodness! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Marie James and her brilliant writing style, and once again, she transported me into the MC world, and I'm mad as hell that I'm not there anymore! I absolutely CANNOT WAIT for her to release more of these EPIC stories, so the gist of all of my fan girl gushing is that I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dominic to EVERYONE!

To say I've been patiently waiting for Dom's story since the beginning would be a complete farce. I'll admit that I've been dying for this. I KNEW he would be a little different from all the others. Darker.

Dom is Kincaid's brother, so we know he has the same view about harming women and the men that do. So when the Princess of the Renegades MC shows up looking like she needs saving, he immediately feels protective of her. A feeling that makes him uneasy.

His back story also makes him question himself and his sexual proclivities.

Dom & Mak are both sullied (personal life events), broken, so far inside themselves it'll take a miracle to pull them out. Or maybe they can help each other.

Through all of their darkness, they find light within each other and I don't know about you, but I feel, to me, that is what makes a great love story. The characters don't have to be perfect cookie cutter Heroes and heroines. Characters that are a little rough around the edges always make the story more interesting!

While not technically an MC member, Domenic is part of the club as he is Kincaid’s brother. Kincaid of course being the Cerberus MC’s President. Domenic was away with the military for most of the early books in this series, but now he is home for good after putting in his 20 years as a Marine. He likes to keep to himself; even his house is at the end of a quiet, out of the way street, so seeing as it’s very unusual for anyone to knock on his door as everyone he knows has a key, he gets quite a surprise when the pink haired beauty known as Poison/Makayla Evans bangs on his door.

Mak is the sister of Scorpion, President of the Renegades MC, a club that are on amicable terms with the Cerberus MC. When something happens to make her fear for her life, she runs and finds herself knocking on Dom’s door. They don’t know each other, apart from by name, and yet something about Mak makes Domenic take her in, determined to find out what the problem is and how he can help. He doesn’t however like that Mak wants to keep her arrival secret, meaning he’s either going to betray her trust by telling Kincaid that she is there, or he’s going to keep a secret from his brother, something he doesn’t do. When he hears her story though, not only is he determined that nothing will ever happen to her again, but he will find a way to get Kincaid and the MC brothers to help him make that true.

The reason for Mak running is so bad, you can’t help but feel for her, and I’m glad that things turned out the way they did. It was a really good story, and it was nice seeing what the club members were up to. Kincaid’s overprotectiveness of Em was quite sweet/funny to read. Oh and the sneek peek of the next book at the end… I. Can’t. Wait! As for Domenic, his story get a big fat 5 stars from me.

This is part 4, I know I read that these could be read as stand alones, but TBH I wouldn't, it makes the experience just that much better if you start from book one. Dominic is finally done and retired from the military, and has come back home to New Mexico to be near his brother Kincaid and his MC. His attitude towards women is pretty much stay away from them, except for when it comes to sex. When Mak shows up on his doorstep, he knows immediately that he is in for a crap storm.

Mak's situation has gone from horrible to the absolute worse in the matter of an afternoon. With no choices left she runs, and somehow ends up on Dominic's front step. Once he realizes what the situation is, Dominic feels like he has no choice but to keep her safe and secure, with him, in his house. But the longer they are together, the harder it is to fight the pull, until Dominic just can't fight it anymore, but both know this is only temporary. What happens when Mak's situation catches up to her? Will they survive the fall out or will this really be the end?

I loved this! This was soo freaking amazing, Marie James is just getting better and better with every story she writes. The sexy times in this were so freaking hot! With some drama, and some really ugly stuff happening, this is a 5 star read all the way! I am so ready for Snatch's book, I can't wait!

Dominic is the fourth book in the Cerberus series and follows Kincaid's older brother Dominic Anderson. This was one of my favorite books in this series! I absolutely loved the story of Dom and Makayla "Poison" Evans. From the very beginning, the book pulled me in and it didn't let me go until the very end. I love books with characters that are broken and suffering with demons and this book doesn't disappoint! Dom is one sexy alpha, who knows what he wants and what he doesn't... and Makayla is both! She's sexy as sin but is carrying baggage and drama that Dom doesn't want to be a part of. Their scenes together are explosive and practically melted my kindle!! Mak's courage and determination to fight for what is right made her a new favorite heroine for me. The great thing about this series is that not only do you get introduced to new characters, but you also get to catch up with all of your old favorites. You definitely do not want to miss out on Dom and Mak's story!!!

This book was hands down my favorite in the series this far. Dominic was hot and sweet and I loved him with Makayla. Mak needed help with a couple of big problems and Dom instantly helped her as soon as she showed up due to certain circumstances from when he was younger. Mak was really brave to leave the situation she had found herself in and ask for help. The big showdown where Mak faced her problem was kind of anticlimactic as well with them showing up and it ending two seconds later but I understand why the president handled it so quickly.

The biggest problem I had with the book happened in the first couple pages where Dom referred to himself as a soldier when he was in the Marines. Marines are Marines not soldiers and to me that was a huge oversight but once I got over that initial mess up I really enjoyed the book.

3.5-4 stars. Small spoilers.

I was uncertain about this one after reading the one before this but I really enjoyed it! In general, I have to say I like the author’s writing style.

Both heroine and Hero are likeable. I would have liked if the ex wife was not mentioned as much, although I dont believe the Hero was still in love with her I think he was hurt by her, she cheated.

Also, Hero’s love sort of comes out of nowhere, we do see his feelings changing but dont get his inner thoughts on when he falls in love. Still I enjoyed this one :)

Next one is MM romance, I think I’ve read maybe 2-3 MM romance books, I don’t usually read them but will be reading this one since I like the author’s books.

A compelling read ......

Well this was the fourth in the MC series and my favourite thus far...... these books just get better and better....when there's something dangerous in the neighborhood...who you gonna call? the men from the Cerebus MC of course!! or more specifically, on this occasion, Dominic.....who is forced to make some tough choices when Makayla, on the run from her brother's MC, arrives unannounced on his doorstep...

The narrative is provided by Dominic and Makayla and it is a story which played havoc with my emotions being both devastating and uplifting at varying times ...the men and women of the series feel like old friends ..I know their strengths, weaknesses and backstories and have a direct access to their most intimate and raw moments...as with the other books there is an underlying dark theme of abuse and neglect but this is dealt with sympathetically and is counterbalanced with the banter, love and honor ever present within the MC family...

This was a compelling read and another wonderful plot that, once again, demonstrates the ability of this author to pull you in to the Cerebus world from the start and not relinquish her hold until the final page is turned ......I received a copy of this book as an ARC from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review

By far my favorite of the series.

I loved Dominic. It was great to get inside his head and what he was thinking of. I really appreciated that he didn't make any stupid decisions after opening his door to Makayla. He's a gentleman in public and a beast in the bedroom. With all that Mak has been through, I proud of her for standing tall and still fighting. I'm glad that the "end of her troubles" ending so quickly and neither of couple had that stain on their souls. This series really does get better and better.

This is the 4th book of the Cerberus MC Series and i fell in love with Dominic. He is the older brother of Kincaid, President of the MC. Makayla knocks on his door and when he opens said door, begins a journey with her that rocks his world. Just like his brother, Dominic will never walk away from a woman in trouble. The book grabs you from the start, i read it in one sitting. The characters are well developed and the plot has so many turns. Dominic and Makayla are stubborn, explosive, loyal and fiercely in love with each other. This is by far, the best book yet, in this fantastic series.

I received and voluntary reviewed an ARC of this book. This book was read and reviewed by Stacy Aube for Cutting Muse Blog Review.

Marie James does it again. I couldn't put this down. Meeting the right woman can change the hardest of hearts. But when the time is spent fighting it so many mistakes get made.

The characters are amazing, the storyline the best and the anticipation for the next book are exactly what makes this series truly outstanding.

Dom and Mak, perfect!

Fantastic story! I loved Makayla. Loved her strength and her love for her little sister.

I'm still unsure why Mak showed up on Dom's doorstep, or how she even knew where his house was, but I'm glad she knew who he was. Anyway, great story and great characters!
