The beret is having a moment. First, we saw Rihanna top off her outfit with a leather version on the front row at Paris Fashion Week. Then Bella Hadid tried out a similar look on the streets of New York. Now, as demonstrated by Rita Ora, the trend appears to be picking up speed in London, where the singer was seen earlier today in a kicky beret, styled with a distinctly punk-rock twist.

For starters, Ora’s hat spelled out Anarchy in bright red letters and tied in with her bateau top. She paired her stripes with a slouchy tuxedo jacket and matching trousers that hit at just the right place to show off Louis Vuitton monogram combat boots—hardly the kind of footwear you’d expect to see worn with a suit. She kept the flash going with chains swinging from her neck, including a gold Chanel lariat and a Rita nameplate necklace. A quilted Chanel shoulder bag was a nice ladylike touch, while angular frames proved you can, in fact, wear a statement hat with eye-catching sunglasses.
