Report: Auburn softball's Haley Fagan did not test positive for marijuana following arrest

Haley Fagan did not test positive for marijuana or any other substance other than alcohol following her arrest on April 20, according to a copy of her drug test results published by FloSoftball.com.

The Auburn shortstop, who was arrested along with Makayla Martin and Brittany Maresette on misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, tested positive for alcohol but no other substance was detected in the test results administered by Auburn, which the site claimed to receive from Fagan's attorneys.

Fagan, 22, Martin and Maresette each issued public apologies on Friday and have been suspended for five games following their arrests.

They were all in uniform but did not play in Friday's series-opener against Mississippi State.

Auburn coach Clint Myers, who would not confirm the results of Fagan's drug test, has said the suspended players have to "earn" their way back onto the team and not committed to when that will occur.

The Tigers could make a change at shortstop on Saturday whether Fagan returns to the lineup or not.
