Co-founders of Virago, Jory Des Jardins and Stephanie Agresta, have joined the Board of SheWorx and are taking an equity stake in the company. Virago launched in the beginning of November with an inaugural event that was sponsored Microsoft and other corporate partners. The Scale Collective gathered 300 investors, female founders of technology companies and industry experts to accelerate growth for women entrepreneurs.
“When we met the SheWorx team, it was clear we had a shared philosophy on how to best equip female founders with information, resources, and a strong network for building their companies,” Des Jardins told DIVERGE. “Yin and Lisa see The Scale Collective as a natural extension of the SheWorx brand, and it will continue to be a resource for founders in the growth phases of their companies.”
Des Jardins and Agresta will now support the portfolio of SheWorx products in an advisory capacity, provide counsel to SheWorx founders, and evangelize the organization’s global mission. The Scale Collective will now live within the SheWorx global brand.
Founded by Lisa Wang and Yin Lin, SheWorx is a global collective supporting women entrepreneurs and the leading event series connecting women to top mentors.
