About this ebook

A journalist seeks to expose the secret identity of a best-selling author, only to discover love in the process.

Whoever came up with the phrase "Love at first sight" clearly missed the mark.

The first time I laid eyes on Kate O’Malley with that shy, timid beauty – the only thing I felt was pure satisfaction. She was the world’s most famous author, hiding in plain sight. A story like this could make my career.

Love at second glance? Third? Perhaps even fourth? That's an idea I could understand.

As I spent more time with Kate, digging deeper into why such a gifted woman would prefer to remain hidden rather than embrace the limelight of her achievements, I found myself irresistibly drawn to her.

There's just one minor complication: we're both pretending to be someone we're not.

So how do two frauds find their happily ever after?

Killian found his passion in journalism, choosing the fame over substance as a way to hide the pain from scars in his past. When the bottom falls out and he loses his job, he is determined to find a way back to this world he covets. He stumbles onto a mystery, a new author is burning up the charts with her novel but no one knows who she is. As he seeks out this story to put him back in the limelight, he never expects what he finds when he meets Kate. Kate is stuck, during college her world collapsed and she has struggled to figure out how to move on. A creative writing course sets her imagination wild and she is suddenly a famous author but no one knows it. She works to stay in her protective bubble but then Killian appears next to her. What she finds is someone that lights up her life in a new way but is also a kindred spirit in other ways. There chemistry is fun, flirty and oh so sexy. I was surprised by the depth of the pain they both carry and hide. But when you find out someone is lying, well, can you forgive? Is trust ever rebuilt?
