세계경제가 위축되고 어려운 상황에서 아세안(ASEAN)은 항후 성장이 가장 기대되는 지역으로 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 아세안후발국가인 CLMV(Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam) 그룹의 경제 규모는 현재까지 지속적으로 성장 중이며, 2015년 말에 출범한 아세안경제공동체로 경제규모는 더욱 커질 가능성이 높아지고 있다. 본 연구는 CLMV그룹 중에 성장잠재력은 갖추고 있지만 개발이 많이 이루어지지 못해 투자 및 진출을 적극적으로 유치하고 있는 캄보디아를 연구대상으로 하고 있다. CLMV그룹에서 베트남이 적극적인 FTA(Free Trade Agreement)확대전략을 취하면서 그 성과로 EU-베트남 FTA를 정식 체결하여 인근국가에 많은 영향을 주게 될 것이다. 인접국가로서 베트남과 경제적 관련성이 깊은 캄보디아의 경제에 큰 영향을 미치게 될 것이다. EU-베트남 FTA로 인해서 캄보디아의 주요 수출품인 의류 및 봉제산업 수출에 타격이 예상되며, 그 외 베트남과 경쟁하는 모든 품목에 영향을 줄 것으로 예상되고 있어서 캄보디아의 주력산업에 진출해 있는 우리나라기업들이 피해를 입을 수 있다. 따라서 EU-베트남 FTA 양허내용과 일정, 그리고 EU와 두 나라의 수출입 산업의 경쟁관계를 구체적으로 파악하고, 의류 및 봉제부문에 진출한 우리나라 기업의 피해를 줄이는 대처방안을 본 연구를 통해서 모색해보도록 하겠다.
ASEAN is attracting much attention as a growth area in the future. In particular, the CLMV group (Asian sub-grouping) is continuing to grow the economy. The ASEAN economy is likely to grow further in 2015 with the launch of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). This study focuses on Cambodia, which has growth potential among the CLMV group and actively attracts investment and advancement. Among the CLMV group, Vietnam is taking an aggressive FTA expansion strategy. As a result, the EU-Vietnam FTA has been signed and will have a great impact on neighboring countries. The EU-Vietnam FTA will have a significant impact on the Cambodian economy, which is closely related to Vietnam. In particular, the EU-Vietnam FTA is expected to hurt Cambodia's exports to the clothing and sewing industry. It is expected to affect all other items competing with Vietnam. Therefore, Korean companies that are in the mainstream of Cambodia can be damaged. Therefore, the content and schedule of the EU-Vietnam FTA concession, and the competitive relationship between the EU and the two countries' We will look into the countermeasures to reduce the damage of Korean companies entering the apparel and sewing sector through this study.
