Saturday, October 13th, we will be holding the annual 6-6-6 event, which requires a good strategy!

The format for the event will be two-person better ball, and each team will pick 6 holes where they will tee off from the Black tee markers, 6 holes from the Blue tee markers, and 6 holes from the Red tee markers. Each team can pick their own unique combination and both players must tee off from the same tee markers on each hole.

If you have any questions or wish to sign up, please contact the Golf Professional Shop.

Wednesday, October 17th, we will have our 2018 Ladies Closing Day.

Hard to believe the season is already coming to an end, but this is a wonderful way to wrap up the year with great friends and a fun format! The format is a three lady scramble, with teams determined using a random ABC draw. The event will kick off at 10:00am and lunch will be served following golf in the Tavern.

If you have any questions or wish to sign up, contact the Golf Professional Shop!

The 2018 Trump Cup is set to be played Saturday, October 20th and Sunday, October 21st.

The Trump Cup is a One Better Ball event and participating teams will receive 90% of their handicap. Tee times will begin at 8:00 am. All players will play from the Blue tees unless they are eligible to move up to white.

For more information on the event, be sure and visit the tournament information page on the website which can be found in the golf calendar.

What are you doing to improve your game?

True Spec will be visiting us Wednesday, October 10th and Thursday, October 11th.

This is not a Demo Day; these are fittings set up by appointment only
. If you would like to book your two-hour slot, stop in or call the Golf Shop.

During the fitting, you will work with one of True Spec’s certified fitters. With a brand agnostic approach, they are able to offer a matrix of over 30,000 clubhead and shaft combinations. Through this process, they identify the best possible components and build specifications and explain why those club options work best. At the end of the fitting, you will be provided with a TrackMan report, your prescription, and a quote to purchase the recommended pieces of equipment from your fitting.

“You should play a driver with more loft.” It’s a nice generalization.
But that’s what it is: a generalization.
If you want the most improvement from a new driver,
then come and get fitted. Let’s create the right launch conditions.

Here’s a golfer who bought a driver off the shelf.
And here’s his performance after he was fitted properly.

Despite playing the latest technology, it took just 20 minutes to find
an extra 23 yards, by LOWERING the launch angle. In this case,
spin was also lowered.

There’s a driver DNA – ball speed, launch angle, and spin rate. We need to match those when
fitting you for a driver. How close is your driver to your Launch DNA now?
Do you have 20 yards or more of performance in the right DNA?
Come and see us. Let’s unlock your potential to thrill.

As we get to the change of season, we’re going to give you four areas of your game you should benchmark.
You can choose to compile statistics on these areas, but we think you’ll know
where you stand when thinking about your game.

To play a splash bunker shot and get out the bunker stress free you must use
Your bounce by approaching the ball with the correct technique.

Being able to 2-putt from distance consistently helps your golf.
Sometimes it means you walk off with a net birdie. Most times, it’s two putts and a solid net par.
Missing either of those opportunities creates disappointment and frustration.
We want less of that. We want you to walk to the next tee accompanied by a feeling of fulfillment.

How many times in a round are you likely to 3-putt?
Infrequently; at least once; more than once; it’s a regular threat.

Is there a common cause?
You struggle to read the green; you struggle to match stroke length to the distance required;
you strike the ball inconsistently with your putter (or a combination).
What could you do to improve your performance?
