The alarm was raised after she failed to attend several appointments.

This afternoon forensic officers erected a tent in the garden of the property near Shieldhall Road as they carried out their investigations.

Shocked locals watched on as the officers dressed in white suits spent hours at the property.

One local, who asked not be named, said “Julie has been missing for weeks now and she seems to have just vanished.

“The police were at the house last week and then on Sunday a van turned up and cops and forensic officers started going into the house.

“It’s quite worrying though because we don’t know why they have started this.

“Everyone just hopes she found safe and well but as time goes on you start to worry about how it will turn out.”

Julie has also previously been known to use the surnames Hanlon, Martin and Collins was wearing a pink jacket, jeans and aqua coloured trainers when she was last seen.

Last night a Police Scotland spokesperson said “The forensic activity is in relation to the missing person inquiry for Julie Reilly.”
