As per The Liverpool Echo, Virgil Van Dijk is reportedly the Reds’ top summer target for this transfer window.
It looks set to be one of the most busy transfer windows ever with the extra money Premier League clubs now have and even the Reds look set to fork out huge sums of cash.
For Van Dijk, then, that is certainly going to be the case and it does seem as though the Southampton star is still top of our wishlist.
He had a fine campaign in 2016/17 before seeing it curtailed by injury but you cannot simply forget how good he was prior to that and so signing him would surely be a good thing.
Indeed, we do need at least one more centre-half to help shore up our defence and so it remains to be seen if we can get this one over the line.
