Midhurst / May 15, 2017 – County of Simcoe Paramedic Services, in partnership with Heart & Stroke, is hosting a free Save-A-Life Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and defibrillation training course on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the Lampman Lane Community Centre in Barrie, Ontario.
"More than 12,400 residents have received CPR training thanks in part to the strong partnership between the County of Simcoe and Heart & Stroke," said Warden Gerry Marshall. "Simcoe County continues to see extraordinary growth, making it essential that we provide our residents with the tools and training to help our emergency responders save lives."

Participants will receive instruction in the Heart & Stroke course which includes adult and child CPR, choking emergencies, and use of automated external defibrillators (AED). Participants who attend this Level-A course will receive a CPR card from Heart & Stroke. There is no cost to attend, but participants are asked to bring non-perishable food items for donation to the local food bank.
