Strathallan School death – Tragic pupil, 15, ‘found dead in room’ as boarding school supports kids

A TRAGIC teenager was "found dead in his room" at a top scots boarding school yesterday morning.

Emergency services were called to £35k-a-year Strathallan School at around 7.20am on Monday after the alarm was raised.

Police said that the death was being treated as unexplained.

Now the Daily Mail reports that the lad was discovered in his room at the school near Perth.

School bosses said that they were offering support to kids who may have been affected by the death.

And that tragic boy, 15, may have been suffering from an underlying health condition.

One parent told the Daily Mail: "It's a good school with great pastoral care and this is very rare.

"It is a complete one-off.

"I hope the kids are all right and not too shaken up".

A spokesperson for the school said: "Strathallan School can confirm that the Emergency Services have been dealing with a death at the school.

"We offer our heartfelt condolences and support to the family and all others affected.

"The chaplain and chapel are available all day for anybody in need of support, and we appreciate your respect for the privacy of our pupils, parents and staff as we come to terms with this news.

"We are unable to comment further at this time."

The school has been approached for further comment.
