Granted to full-time undergraduate students who are entering Year 1; with a minimum overall average of 95 percent in the best six Grade 12 U and/or Grade 12 M courses or Ontario Academic Credits (OACs) (or equivalent); and successful completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) (or equivalent). Open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or bearers of a valid student visa (visa applicants must have completed their senior year at a Canadian high school). This scholarship is renewable for up to four years (in an approved 5 year program, three years for a 4 year degree program) if a minimum GPA of 10.50 is achieved during the fall,winter and spring terms of the previous academic year (see the regulations for the In-Course Scholarship program for complete regulations concerning renewal) for a total potential value of $23,000 (over 5 years, $18,000 over 4 years). Candidates who receive this scholarship at admission are also eligible for scholarships granted under the Entrance Scholarship Grid; candidates who are eligible for renewal of this scholarship are not eligible for scholarships granted under the In-Course Scholarship program; students in an approved double degree program are eligible to renew this award for a fifth year of undergraduate study. The university reserves the right to modify the minimum grade requirement for this scholarship.
