Wednesday, 7th Jun 2017 09:52

Sea City Museum based in the Civic Centre at Southampton are planning an exciting Saints exhibition and they want Saints fans both memorabilia and their stories.

This is a long overdue project, Southampton Football Club have never cherished and displayed their history and now in conjunction with the Museum in the Civic Centre that is now about to change.

But a football club is all about the fans and although of course the official pictures etc have all been seen it is the supporters contribution that will bring this exhibition to life with memorabilia and their stories.

Saints fans are invited to bring their treasures and mementos to an open day hosted at SeaCity Museum located in the Civic Centre with it's entrance on Havelock Road opposite the BBC studios.

The date and time is this Saturday 10th June between 11am and 3pm.

They are looking for objects that could play a starring role in the new exhibition opening in March 2018, that will help them tell the story of the club from the fan’s perspective.

However, it’s not just objects they are looking for. If you have some great personal stories that involve the club, come along and share them with them!

Curators from the museum and representatives from Southampton Football club will be on hand to view objects and listen to fan’s stories.

Please note that they will not be able to take the objects on the day, but will be looking to record and photograph items that are brought in.

Come down and show them what you’ve got!
