Kristen Proby’s Fusion series is sexy, sweet, and a whole lot of fun! That’s what I expected when I started The Beauty of Us and I wasn’t disappointed. Riley’s book was fantastic! And the hero in the story was my favorite of this series to date! I love nerdy guys!

Riley Gibson is one of the 5 best friends who own and operate Seduction, a popular and sexy restaurant. Riley is the genius behind the marketing. She’s gotten the restaurant a huge break in the form of reality tv. They are being showcased on a show and the guy running the project is Trevor Cooper.

Trevor is a great guy. He’s a bit of a nerdy guy, an avid gamer, and an all around fun person. I loved the chemistry he and Riley had together. The two of them kept a smile on my face for most of the book!
“I want you to show me your lightsaber,” I reply, and bite his lower lip. “Right now.”

“I had no idea that Star Wars would have this effect on you.”

Riley and Trevor’s story was a fantastic addition to the series, but OMG I think Kristen is saving the best for last! After that little bomb that was dropped about Mia, I cannot wait for her book! I have a feeling it’s going to be epic!

I listened to the audio version of this book, and the narration was great. It was a quick and easy read. If you’re looking for something light hearted, fun, and entertaining I recommend this series!
“This is us, Riley, you and me, and no one else. No one else exists for me.”

4.25 'Geeky and Sexy' Stars

Fusion keeps getting better and better! The Beauty of Us was so wonderfully refreshing in whole its geeky sexiness!

Kristen Proby always gives a very heartfelt and genuine love story, and this book is no exception, therefore a pleasure to read from start to finish. From the moment they met, I really felt in Riley’s shoes: her feelings, her doubt, her resolution and her craving for love and connection.

Riley, Fusion’s PR and one of the quintet of beautiful women that make this restaurant the stellar success that it is, has been going through a series of horrible dates, seriously horrific – and hilarious, lol – so the last thing she expects when venting with girls about one such delightful episode, is that a seriously HOT and insightful client gives her some words of advice, and some nerdy corrections, LOL!

“You’ve just combined Star Wars and Star Trek.”
“Whatever,” I say with a shrug. “It’s all the same thing.”
“No,” he says, and clears his throat. “No, it’s not the same thing at all.”
“But you understand what I’m saying.”
“No, I don’t understand because you just combined Star Trek and Star Wars. They’re not the same thing, so everything you just said is . . . incomprehensible.”

When it turns out that the handsome and charming stranger is none other than Trevor, the producer of the show in which their restaurant will be main feature, well, let’s just say that things immediately start to get interesting! Much to Riley’s chagrin, or should I say luck?! ;)

Jesus.
And I just voluntarily offered to spend time with her. Alone.
I’m a fucking glutton for punishment.

Yep, even with the embarrassment of the situation, from that very first glimpse, their sizzling attraction is undeniable, and it was easy to see that not even their gigantic will to resist and keep it professional, had any chance to stop what was indeed meant to be.

A little shivеr makes its way through mе in agreement. Hе totally looks at me likе hе wants to еat me with a spoon. I want him to. I really, really want him to.

Neither had much resistance, honestly, and how could they, with those beautiful packages and off the charts magnetism. This type of chemistry, so real you, as a reader can feel it, just has they do, can’t be beat. And hello, did I say, smoking hot geek?! *cue sighing*

“Geeks are sexy,” Kat says. “Nothing wrong with that.”
“Not wrong with that at all,” I agree.

Trevor was indeed a nice and delicious on his own, treat in the Fusion gang, and how he showed Riley how she should be treated and all she deserved, made me fall in love with him, right along with her. And we could FEEL them truly fall for one another.

I love her company. I crave it.
I crave her.

Their love develops organically, and for my pleasure, in the perfect paced development. It was incredible and always exciting to see the rest of the Fusion women and man, and OMG, how could Riley not be the sassy woman that she is with that kickass granny?!

“Oh, for Pete’s sake, Riley Marie, you’re an adult woman with needs. Please tell me you’re not doing something stupid like holding out for marriage.”
“You know, most parents actually do advise their children to hold out for marriage.”

I loved her Nana so much, and hope she makes an appearance in Mia’s book!

The way Trevor was devoted and genuinely loved her, and was attentive to her when they were together in Portland, made me soon and warm in the heart, but I also wanted to kick his ass – or at least slap him in his head by some things he did/reacted later on. Riley was amazing all throughout the story and I felt incredibly connected to her, and what she was feeling, and can’t even explain it myself. I guess that is Kristen Proby’s gift right there!

“I didn’t want to lose you.”

“You were never in danger of losing me.”

The Beauty of Us – perfect title, btw – fits perfectly with the rest of this amazing series, and reflects why it’s one of my all time favs. Ok, all of KP’s are, but these beautiful and successful women have a special place in my heart, because they represent the contemporary woman, and like Riley herself describes, contemporary and independent women, that love their man with values, a man’s man, that will love and cherish them, but also respect their personality. And that is exactly how every Fusion men is, and I couldn’t adore them more! And with that tease of epilogue, oh boy, I can’t wait to see how Kristen Proby will disentangle that mess that is Mia’s life at the moment! <3 <3 <3 <3

“You’re a special woman, Riley.”
“I’m glad you think so, but I think I’m just a decent human being who finally found another decent human being.”

“You’re killing me.”
“No, baby.” I press a kiss to her core and then lick down her lips and up again. “I’m making you feel alive.”

Kristen Proby just can't go wrong with this series. Book after book she flawlessly captivates me with these characters and makes me jealous that they aren't my friends. I loved getting to learn more about Riley and getting her horrible dating stories had me laughing like a crazy person. She and Trevor had a close relationship from the very beginning and I enjoyed that they started off almost as friends before anything else happened.

Overall, this is a big recommend from me and so is the whole series. Trevor and Riley are not characters you want to miss out on, especially Trevor with all of his nerdy hotness.

Sassy, independent, and feisty heroine. Check! Nerdy, sweet and sexy hero. Check! Yup, combine those two, you have a recipe for one delectable and swoonworthy romance. The Fusion Series has been a delight to read but I got to say The Beauty Of Us is hands down my favorite of the series.

Dating sucks and that is something Riley Gibson can happily agree on. Trying to meet guys is kinda hard when she is always busy working and so when she tries online dating...let’s say, epic fail!!! And so when she finally meets a guy that she is truly interested in, she can’t do anything about it since he is the television producer who will be spotlighting the restaurant that she co-owns with her friends.

#TheBeautyOfUs

Trevor Cooper is the geeky, sweet and sexy hero that will easily melt your hearts. It doesn’t take long for him and Riley to hit it off and with the sexual tension brewing between them, it was only a matter of time till these two find themselves tangled in the sheets. So will Trevor be able to show Riley that the only guy that she needs to see, date, and love is him?

The Beauty of Us is your sticky as molasses love story that was playful, light, and sexy. Everything about this book was a gem from the characters and their deep close friendship and the palpable love that they each have for their men. So if you are looking for a story that is downright beautiful, sweet, and adorable then this book is for you.

Overall a sweet love story with 2 likable characters.

I wish there was less unnecessary OW-drama, and make it double 😴. His ex-wife and his game partner (yes, the man killed zombies online). And the only OM from h's past was a total jerk. As if they "pumped" hero's character and the h was with only losers in her life...

Nevertheless I would have clicked 4 when not for these 2 points:

- he forgot the condom as they had sex for the 1st time. Of course they were both clean and she's protected -> how convenient! The man was 37! And he just forgot protection?!

- she gave him BJ in the bathroom at her friends' party and only a couple minutes later kissed the baby of her bff on the cheek. No mouth washing or teeth brushing was mentioned... 😖😞

One of my absolute FAVORITE things about Kristen Proby is that she gives us smart, quick-witted, unforgettable characters who dig themselves so deep into our hearts, that we have no choice but to adore them. Some of my all time favorite characters of hers come from her Fusion Series...Riley and Trevor being two of them! These two, from the very beginning I knew they were going to be favorites of mine. Riley, I knew a while ago, since the beginning of this series, but Trevor just stole my heart with his sexy, geeky heart almost INSTANTLY! The instant attraction was on point, followed by a sexual chemistry that you just couldn't deny.

There are so many characters to know and love in THE BEAUTY OF US and in this series in general, but no one steals the spotlight...no one stands out more than the other, with the exception of our beautiful heroine and nerdy hero, of course. It flows perfectly. It's incredibly well written, of that I had no doubt, and the storyline was exciting, sexy, hilarious, sweet, and at times, pretty intense. Like Kristen Proby's previous work, it's the absolute PERFECT ROMANCE! You will laugh. You will cry. You will fall in love. THE BEAUTY OF US has EVERYTHING you could ever want in a contemporary romance.

4+ "Insta-love at it's finest" Stars!

I loved it! It was sweet, sexy and super HOT in the bedroom... or wherever. Two great characters and a gang of family and friends. Just exactly what you expect in a Kristen Proby book. It was a bit dramatic there for a minute and there was some serious inta-love working here. But as previously stated. I loved it. KP is an auto but for me. She doesn't disappoint me.

I mostly listened to the audio book for this one because, REAL LIFE GONE CRAZY!(and there is no relief in sight for the near future). Anyway, It was good. There is a male and female narrator as the story is told in duel POVs. My only complaint is that the voice the female narrator did for Kat, one of the bffs is terrible. She sounded like she'd smoked a pack a day since birth. I think it was supposed to be sexy, but it was actually very annoying. Other than that I enjoyed this one a lot. An easy breezy feel good read/listen. Happy reading!

This is my first book in the Fusion series, but you wouldn’t know it because Kristen Proby makes it easy to jump right in and connect with all of the characters. She does a great job of giving just enough backstory for each that I didn’t feel like I was missing anything — which is good because I really enjoyed this fun and flirty, sexy and sweet love story.

Riley is the marketing guru for the restaurant she owns with her girlfriends. When an opportunity arises for a reality show, she jumps at the chance for the exposure that will help catapult their success and future expansions. Riley may be smart and sassy, but she also has a bad habit of dating the wrong men. What she didn’t count on was meeting the perfect guy on the set of her show.

Trevor is the cute and charming producer of the reality series and is only in town for the length of filming. The circumstances may not be ideal, but the instant attraction he feels with Riley is as real as it gets. Trevor may have a weakness for gaming and Star Wars, but he’s no slouch in the protectiveness department. I love that combo, by the way!

Riley and Trevor have great chemistry and their banter is fantastic. You can feel their connection, which is a definite plus. The thing I loved the most, though, was the fact that they were allowed to have a friendship and develop deeper feelings for one another. Yes, they lusted after one another from the moment they laid eyes on each other, but they spent time together and really got to know each other first which I found refreshing.

The Beauty of Us reminds me a bit of the books I used to read in my ‘chick lit’ days. Of course, it’s a romance with plenty of sexy parts, but it’s the friendships and the camaraderie of the girlfriends that makes me think of that genre. The co-owners of the restaurant at the center of the series are truly a chosen family and their ‘girl talk’ was so true-to-life and realistic. I liked so many parts of this book, but that might be my favorite.

I had some minor quibbles over the resolution of the conflict, but overall it was an enjoyable book that makes me want to read the rest of the series. If you’re looking for a romance that’s low on angst, but high on steam, look no further than The Beauty of Us!

He kisses my head, and I feel so safe. So pampered. I can’t remember the last time a guy picked me up.
I don’t know if I’ve ever dated a guy strong enough to pick me up and carry me.
That’s kind of sad.
I’ve dated pussies.

Riley Gibson together with her four awesome friends has through hard work made a big success of their restaurant, Seduction. In fact things are going so well, the popular Best Bites TV network wants to make a show about them and as the marketing guru of their fabulous team, Riley couldn’t be happier. If only her dating life was going so successful, but alas it seems Riley is doomed to date assholes and losers. But then she meets the shows executive producer who gives her very sound dating advice and is way too sexy for her own peace of mind.

“You still don’t get it, do you? I’m so crazy about you I can’t see straight.”

Trevor Cooper is a geek who loves gaming and his job. And he’s come to Portland to film Seduction and its successful owners for Best Bites of TV. He wasn’t expecting to find himself intensely attracted to the beautiful and hilarious Riley and he can’t do anything about his attraction as he never mixes business with pleasure. But the more Trevor gets to know Riley, the more he years to show her just how a gentleman would treasure her and the harder it gets to not turn their new friendship into more.

Soon their relationship turns into more, but how can they have a future if Trevor lives in a different state?

“I want you to show me your lightsaber,” I reply, and bite his lower lip. “Right now.”
“I had no idea that Star Wars would have this effect on you.”

I have loved the no-fuss Riley since the first moment we met her and I loved her in this book. Just like most women she’s been having a hard time finding a good guy to date and I loved her honest and hilarious reactions to her disastrous dates in the beginning. And I also loved how real she felt, the way she hates drama and how feisty she could also be.

“You’re so fucking incredible,” he breathes against my lips. “I always crave you. Whether you’re with me or not, I fucking need you.”

I adored Trevor and how mature he was. I loved that he was this huge geek who loves Stars Wars and his gaming and his glasses made him so very sexy. He didn’t have commitment issues and didn’t try to blame the intensity of his feelings on lack of sex or his hormones and he never tried to push Riley away. WHICH WAS AMAZING. I loved how intent he was in proving to Riley just how special she was and I loved how bossy he could be in the bedroom ;-)

“This is us, Riley, you and me, and no one else. No one else exists for me.”

I loved how easy and almost angst-free their romance was, how they got along so well right from the start, starting as friends and then becoming more. Both were such mature individuals, believing in honesty and communication and preferring to avoid drama. They were both comfortable with who they were and it showed in the way they were together. And I loved that they didn’t try to put an expiration date on dating, that they wanted to see where they were going despite the fact that they lived in different states. I also loved how playful they were together, it was so very cute and the sexy times were HOT. I REALLY loved their romance!

“Oh, we’re having it. And if it makes you feel any better, I have my share of sex too.”
“No. No, it doesn’t make me feel any better.”
She laughs with delight and slaps her hand on the table. “Hey, at least I can’t get pregnant these days. Makes the whole birth-control thing easier.”

I’m so loving this wonderful series and this group of amazing women, how loyal they are and how their differences just complements each other. They are definitely women I would love to be friends with. Then there’s also Riley’s seventy-two year old grandmother who is SO funny (especially about her sex-life as the quote above shows ;-) ) and I loved the moments between her and Riley and also the way Trevor was with her.

”Sometimes I wish the Enterprise was real, and Chris Pine could sweep me away to the Death Star, and we could have a bunch of Jedi babies and stuff.”
Mr. Man just stares at me for a moment, then scowls.

I loved how sweet, funny and utterly romantic this series is and this book was no exception. Just look at the above quote from the first chapter where they met before Riley knew who Trevor was and you’ll understand why. Mia’s book is next and I love this feisty chef, but it seems as if her book is going to be a second-chance romance . This trope hardly ever works for me, but this author hasn’t disappointed me yet, so I have hope that I’ll like it.

I can’t recommend this book and this series enough! A must read for all romance fans who love their romance to be sweet, low on angst, funny and romantic.

I think I need to stop reading Kristen probe books. All her hero's are crave man that think of women as someone to f**k. How is it charming and caring to hav the hero's POV be about looking at her ass and all the ways he can F--k her. I want a hero with more class and brains then what Proby's H's have.

Riley Gibson has decided to give up on men after a series of dates with undesirables. She is beautiful, funny, smart, and has a good career as marketing and publicity for their restaurant Seduction. She has seen several of her friends find "the one" and she is not really interested in one-night-stands or flings. But it does not seem like her Mr. Right is going to be found online.

Trevor Cooper can't help but laugh at Riley as he overhears her talking about her bad dates. He is a producer for Best Bites TV and he will be working at the restaurant on a show featuring Riley and her friends. He is charming, cute, intelligent, and a kind of a hot geek with his sexy glasses and love of video games. He can be bossy, but is also patient, attentive, and caring. And he thinks someone should show Riley how a man should treat a woman on a date.

But their easygoing rapport takes a turn towards more flirty, definite like, simmering lust, and an attachment they did not see coming. But they are currently working together, and he lives in California while she is in Oregon. So these two find themselves wanting something real, but with built in barriers and a time limit. And then there are some other external issues causing drama and concern. Some of the drama seemed a little over the top to me and I questioned a couple plot points. But it was still a fun, sweet, romantic story of finding love when you least expect it.

I really liked Trevor. He was a good guy who was swoonworthy and a bit nerdy at the same time. And Riley was sharp and sassy. They were really adorable together, but they were both over-thinkers and stubborn. They had reasons to question trust and some communication issues. But trust, attention, and real love would be needed for them to be able to survive the distance and issues.

This brings back the girls of Seduction and their mates. I like getting more with this dynamic group and they add more humor and depth. It was told in dual points of view and I loved getting to see how they were really feeling. We got more of a tease for Mia's story and I have been looking forward to her book since the beginning of this series.

I really enjoyed the romance between Trevor and Riley. It was sweet and I like the way they are with each other. I really could have done without the pointless drama with his gamer friend and the ridiculous drama with his ex wife. The drama added nothing to the story in my opinion. I would have liked to know if Trevor dated or had hookups after his divorce. For some reason we always find out exactly what the h has been up to sexually, but so many authors don't tell us what the H has been doing unless he is a manwhore.

Such a cute love story.

Riley as had a really hard time trying to find the right man. They are either sweaty smelly after money or just out for one. She has had enough and is ready to give up. Riley is a successful beautiful caring and will do anything to help people. So why is it so hard to find someone. She is seeing her closest bestest friends and business partners find love why can't she. Riley is thinking at this stage there has to be something wrong with her. Until she meets the very sexy geeky Trevor.

Trevor isn't so lucky in love just like Riley he has had his heart broken and he just looking for anyone else to do that again. Hes the producer of the show that is being filmed about Seduction. So he's always moving about. He is happy with his simple life working and gaming that's what makes him happy. But now Trevor he is goin to be spending a lot of time with girls how are all very sexy. But there is one that as caught his eye and after hearing her talk about her latest date he was wondering who the hell she was dating. He thought she was gorgeous and once talking to her the attraction was instant.

Riley and Trevor's story is so cute. They were so good together there relationship was just easy. Trevor is a lil geeky which I luv and Riley is sweet but get on her bad side and forget it. She will go do it you and we did get to see this side a few time with things trying to get in the way and spoil things for them both. It was also great to see the rest of the girls and guys. This is a great series and I 've loved all the books so far. I was looking forward to Riley's book I felt sorry for her dealing with the men that she would date. They were crazy, I was dying for her to meet someone great.

I would highly recommend this book. I'm huge fan of this author there isn't a book that I hate and this book is no different. The story was really good and the characters are excellent. I m really looking forward to Mia's book. She is so feisty i 've been dying to see who will try to tame her. Overall this is a great book I really enjoyed it I couldn't put it down once I started it.

From the very first book in this series, I’ve said it is the relationship between the women behind Seduction that made these books special and that continues in The Beauty of Us. While this is a romance (and we’ll get to that in a moment), it is these smart, funny, successful women who love and support one another without fail that make this series special even as their lives add husbands and children. I enjoyed The Beauty of Us, but not as much as I’ve enjoyed the rest of the series as there were a couple of people and incidents that seemed contrived to add unnecessary drama and strife in this couple’s fledgling relationship. This book did not need it, this couple had obstacles to overcome without it, and it cheapened the relationship they were building and honestly, it lessened my enjoyment of the story.

As Seduction’s marketing and public relations guru, Riley Gibson’s profession life is going great. The restaurant she owns with her four friends continues to garner wonderful reviews and is busy every night, and with a national television show coming to film them and their restaurant their business is about to hit the stratosphere that could lead to bigger and better things, but with three of Riley’s friends finding the perfect man for them, Riley see what they have and wants that for herself, unfortunately when it comes to finding a love match, she keeps striking out. Sharing her dating woes with her friends over a glass of wine at closing time isn’t uncommon, but an attractive stranger putting in his two cents worth is, and when that stranger turns out to be Trevor Cooper the man who will be leading the crew featuring her restaurant, Riley is mortified, but Trevor his is intrigued.

There was something very special about the way Riley and Trevor related to one another off the bat and I think that was mostly due to the fact that Trevor was adamant she know that he admired her and despite her feeling unprofessional after her mini rant, all he felt was intrigued. I appreciated that Riley was upfront with Trevor about not being one for a “fling” and that he understood and respected her feelings, but it was also cute to watch how quickly things heated up between them because there was something so electric about them when together. Living in different states was an obstacle and to be honest that was enough conflict and drama for me, I didn’t need the added bonus of Trevor’s jealous and petty ex-wife or his delusional online gaming friend to make this story interesting. The RELATIONSHIP and their lives were entertaining enough and the thought of what the show would do for Seduction was exciting enough, so I personally wasn’t a fan of the added drama. That being said, they both made some mistakes and did some jumping to conclusions but in the end it was compromise, communication, and the magic of their connection that made it all worthwhile.

I enjoyed the smart, flirty, fun and sexy moment of Kristen Proby’s The Beauty of Us and while I could have done without the unnecessary drama, I still would not have missed this book for the world.

The Beauty Of Us is the fourth installment in this fantastic series the "Fusion" and boy I am having a blast with this group of women and their men. If you are new to this series, Fusion is a series that is centered around five women that starts a romantic and sexy restaurant called "Seduction" and Kristen Proby has done a superb job with developing this series and showing the female friendships that develop and I love seeing these five women come into their own dreams together and find love along the way.

In The Beauty Of Us  we have a story that features around Riley and Trevor. Riley is basically the one in charge of all the social media and PR handling for Seduction and so when they receive an offer for a national tv series that showcases restaurants, she and the other girls agree to it, knowing it would be great coverage and recognition for their place all apart from Mia who is a bit of a pit bull when it comes to her kitchen. Riley has the WORST luck in men, and has practically lost faith in the male species and doesn't believe that there are any good guys left in the world until Trevor enters the picture who convinces her to give up online dating and take him out for a spin so she can show her that there are nice guys who know how to treat a woman right. And from their first meeting, there is magnetic chemistry between them and even though the air thickens from the sexual undertones, there is also something deeper than just attraction, and they seek to explore it even knowing that Trevor will be returning home in a few weeks. But one of them will have to make the career sacrifice if they want a real chance to be together....

The Beauty Of Us is such a heartfelt romance and I am pretty sure this book is NOT for everyone. This is an aspect of Kristen Proby's books that doesn't suit every romance reader because there aren't huge conflicts to the relationship necessarily. This is a book that I feel like many of us in real life can easily relate with. This is a story that you can see happening for REAL and it's so true to how humans react and I love seeing the ins and outs of this relationship and the bond that Trevor and Riley find with each other.

First off, I want to rave about this hero, because there are certain characteristics that we don't see too often in romance and that is the nerdy type of heroes. Trevor is such a nerd, but has his life together and takes care of himself. He is very well rounded from his love of Star Wars and gaming to exercising and being driven in his career. You see how steady and stable he is and that he has been hurt by the opposite sex too when his wife had cheated on him. But he isn't afraid to go after a good woman especially after meeting Riley.
"I want you to show me your lightsaber. " I reply, and bite his lower lip. "Right now."

"I had no idea that Star Wars would have this effect on you."

Riley is pretty well balanced herself, she has a career she loves, and amazing friends and we see her paving a beautiful life for herself even if that means bad dates in searching for her prince. She wants to find love just like her friends have found, but wonders why she keeps finding all the frogs. I love how she never gives up on finding love though, she is so determined to succeed despite all the bad experiences she is dealt with by men. But when she meets Trevor, she isn't resistant to him. She sees the good man that he is and how he treats her and respects her and the fun they have together.
“You’re killing me.”
“No, baby.” I press a kiss to her core and then lick down her lips and up again. “I’m making you feel alive.”

Their romance is slowly built with fun dates, laughter, and a slow building of chemistry. What I did like was that they didn't rush off to have a fling right away, we see some "courting" that happens in this story and I LOVED that. Seeing them develop the emotional intimacy alongside the physical intimacy was truly beautiful and Proby does these type of stories so wonderfully. The dynamics of their relationship truly connects to the reader from the emotion to the friendships and the hurdles this pair has to overcome!!! BREATHTAKINGLY VIBRANT!!!

3.5 The Beauty of Us Stars

Hmm, I realllly wanted to like this book as much as the others in this series.

But it just fell flat for me, I didn’t hate it just didn’t LOVVVVE it. I like Riley, but she seems a little needed in this book.

And there was dramalama ack you all know how much I hate drama for drama’s sake.
Two things I don’t like about Trevor, One I thought he was an alcoholic for 10 year.. Yet he was drinking beer and something else on other night.. That was confusing.
Second, he has this all important job and he doesn’t get a new cell when his gets messed up.

So other than those I liked the story. I liked that at the beginning of the book they were very adult and there wasn’t any drama. They were open and honest. I love the connection the girls all have with one another. I think that makes these books so awesome.

I just wished Riley’s book didn’t have the holes and the drama because I quiet liked her in the previous books.

Now I love me some SebYo <3 soooo yummy. But Abby Craden it’s a sometimes I like and sometimes I don’t, this time it was a like  So yeah!

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

The Beauty of Us is classic Kristen Proby the fourth book in the Fusion series and some aspects of this reminded me of Natalie and Luke from Come Away with Me, KP first book.

This is Riley's story time for her to meet her Mr Right and he walks straight into Seduction.

Trevor is the producer in charge of the tv show they are filming at Seduction he is based in LA and in Portland while filming this.

There is instant attraction between Riley and Trevor but Riley does not do one night stands or flings and Trevor does not want to mix business and pleasure.

Trevor has had enough of the way Riley has been treated in the past by men so he takes her out and shows her how a gentleman should treat her. They decided to give a relationship a go and when the time comes try a long distance relationship.

What will happen when Trevor goes back to LA?

This was a sweet super sexy story with a few flys in the ointment, throw in the rest of the gang and Nana and that is were the laughs come in. I loved Trevor he is a great guy and such a gentleman and I love a guy in glasses.

After Mia's revelation at the end I CANNOT wait for her story, there will be fireworks.

It's back to Seduction we go with Kristen Proby's Fusion series. The Beauty of Us features Riley's story. Five best friends - Cami, Kat, Riley, Addie, and Mia each using their skills and passions decided to open a restaurant/bar called Seduction, and as they are all passionate about their areas, it has become one of the most successful businesses. Riley is the marketing and communications side of the business and has managed to score the restaurant a segment on the TV Show Best Bites. The thing is though that Mia - the Chef in the friendship is not keen on being put on TV . Trevor - the TV producer has been sent to persuade Riley and Mia on starring on the TV Show. When he turns up though and watches an interaction of Riley and the group of friends , she is different IRL than on the phone. On the phone , Riley is professional, cold and aloof but IRL she is a bundle of fun. During the book too we learn that Riley doesn't have the best track record when it comes to relationships and dating. Trevor smitten with Riley, decides to show her how "Real Men" can be and how a real dating experience should be and continues to woo her. What will happen though when the show is coming to an end and Trevor must choose between staying behind or heading back to his "real life" ? Find out in Book #4 of the Fusion series "The Beauty of Us" by Kristen Proby. Another thing that I loved about this book was that Trevor was a gamer and there were a few geek references and as my partner is into gaming, I found myself enjoying this part as they had gaming groups, parties etc.

4.5 Stars

One of my favorite things about Kristen Proby's books is that the characters just plain love one another. They fall in love, it's genuine and heartfelt, they are honest about it (at least in their internal dialog) and they don't play games. This makes it, in a lot of ways, a smooth ride. I know when I am reading one of her books, it always makes me feel like I have curled up in a comfy chair, with a glass of wine and a book. It's comfortable, it is soothing, and you enjoy it.

This books was no different, and it was absolutely a pleasure to read.

Riley and Trevor meet when he visits Seduction a few days before he is scheduled to start filming the TV show in the restaurant. He is the producer of the show that is being filmed and works for the network. (This show and what it is about is addressed in the previous book, but if you haven't read it, not to worry, you are given enough info to know what is going on without reading the others...although, you really should as they are all good). The attraction is instant, and the circumstances around the meeting really set the expectations they have of one another.

There is a reluctance to become involved because they are essentially colleagues, and because they are in Portland and he works in Los Angeles, so, as Trevor says, geography is not on their side. That said, their attraction is strong, they want one another physically, and they like one another. More than once, Trevor thinks how much he likes Riley, how much he respects her. And, Riley feels the same about Trevor. Again, that comfortable feeling of enjoyment, you know they are in it for the long haul, and they both are aware of this...no one is going to be surprised be their feelings in this.

They have chemistry, the attraction is obvious, and you feel the connection. I loved that the distance, thing, the idea that they are going to be long distance, is kept in the background. It is not ignored, but there is an understanding very quickly that the distance isn't going to stop the relationship.

So often in books where the is en "end" date to the romance, the leaving of the person is the entire conflict, the whole thing they have to work past. I loved that in this, that was an issue, but it was not one that was going to stop them, it wasn't going to be the "thing" that was their roadblock.

Ironically, it is this understanding that messes things up for them a bit, but saying more is a spoiler...and it all works out. Trevor is, well, a man, and thinks that just because he knows what he is thinking, Riley will too. Any one who has ever had a male in their lives, brother, father, significant other, friend, jogging partner, will relate to this particular thought process of so many men.

Because they love one another, and this is a romance, Trevor figures out the problem. And, in a way that will have you teary. If it doesn't, read it again, it is beautiful,it is perfect, and it tells you once again, how much Trevor loves Riley, he pays attention and he gets what would mean the most to her.

I had a small issue at the end, as I think the loose ends were not tied as neatly as they could have been, and not totally plausibly (there was not enough discussion, in my opinion, between the principles who would need to be involved) so there is some doubt there. But, on the other hand, you believe in Riley and Trevor, and you know that they are committed to being together, and at the end of the day, that is what you need to believe for a romance to really work.

I recommend this title.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this book.  I knew only one thing was for certain, it would be packed with friendship and witty women and that's all I needed to know to jump in.

If you haven't read the Fusion series before, I think it's a perfect summer series.  It's sweet, fun and sexy contemporary romance.  The stories aren't all that complicated and that lack of angst makes them a joy to breeze through.  The fun characters are a plus as well.  THE BEAUTY OF US is close to being my fave in the series so far!

Riley is the marketer extraordinaire for Seduction.  She's gotten Best Bites TV Network to agree to do a show about their restaurant and now that they are here to film, she can't help her attraction to the man in charge whom she had been working with already via email.  Trevor is geeky sexy and I usually can't get enough of that.  But he's also got a side that's a bit rougher around the edges, especially when it comes to his sexual needs.  I find that some authors force the more dominant play in some of their contemporary romances and it often seems out of place.  Ms. Proby worked in enough elements in this one that it felt just right.

I loved the fact that Riley knows from the start she doesn't just want to start out with a fling while he's in town.  She wants more for herself than that, even if she has sexual needs to satisfy.  I think that gave their relationship a great foundation to build on and Riley came across overall as a very mature and centered grown woman who can recognize what she wants, what she needs and what she doesn't.  They also had such ease at being around each other that it came across as very natural. That instant friendship that developed and quickly morphed into sizzling chemistry was hard to put down and kept me turning the pages.

I've come to care about this group of girls who own the restaurant Seduction.  That friendship between them is the bond that keeps this series special to me.  We have one more girl to see get her HEA and after the setup in this one I am so excited!  I'm always up for a more food-centric romance and I think that one will be all the things I need in one.  Bring it!

4.5 Sweet and Swoon Worthy Stars!!

“Are your knees feeling weak?” “They always feel weak when I’m with you.”

“When you smile at me, it’s like a light has been turned on in a dark room.” “I’d do anything for that smile.”

From sassy and strong women to swoon worthy alpha males, The Beauty of Us is amazing story.

Told from dual points of view, The Beauty of Us follows the story of Trevor and Riley. Riley couldn’t be more thrilled over the possiblity of Seduction being featured on TV. It will be hard work and will turn everyone’s life upside down, but she just can’t turn down the opportunity of a lifetime. What she didn’t plan on was Trevor. Riley had just decided to swear off men, when Trevor appeared and turned her world upside down. Men like him are few and far between and even though Trevor is only in town for a short while, Riley can’t stay away….When Trevor originally lands in Portland, he had every intention on just keeping things all about business…that was until he met Riley. He knew he should stay away, but can’t fight the pull he feels towards her….

The Beauty of Us is a fabulous addition to the Fusion Series. I thought this book was incredibly well written and loved the story-line. The characters were fun and easy to connect with. I loved Riley as a lead. On the outside, she is strong and independent with a sassy mouth to boot. But, on the inside, she wants what every woman wants. She want to be loved and cherished and taken care of. The problem is all the men in Portland are a disgrace. But, Trevor was about to prove that there are still some good men out there. Trevor is thoughtful and pays attention. He’s hardworking and determined. And in the bedroom, he is a total alpha. He is the perfect mix of sweet and seduction. Sure, Trevor is not perfect. In fact, he had a few moments where I wanted to slap him silly, but I liked the fact that he wasn’t 100% perfect. It just drew me to him even more. The connection these two shared was just beautiful and I couldn’t get enough of Trevor’s devotion and affection for Riley. Together, these two make a scorching hot pair with chemistry that demands to be explored.

The Beauty of Us was a terrific read from beginning to end. I fell in love with the characters and the story from the very first page and could not stop myself from devouring Trevor and Riley’s story. It was sweet, sinful and downright swoon worthy. The Beauty of Us had just the right amount of friendship, drama, steam and romance. A very enjoyable read that leaves you begging for more.

My favorite of the series so far, which is very much a surprise to me! I'm not really a fan of "reality show" romance books, but The Beauty of Us by Kristen Proby is so much more than that. And really, the reality show aspect plays a very small role in the story.

I already knew I was going to like Riley because I love all of the Fusion women, but Trevor...DAMN. He exceeded my expectations as far as book boyfriends go. He's sweet and kind and according to Riley, holy sh*t he can kiss. Riley and Trevor were just so laid-back and their relationship progressed so effortlessly. An utterly charming read!

I can't wait for Mia's story!! (:

ARC Review 3

*** ARC KINDLY provided by the AUTHOR in exchange for a HONEST REVIEW ***

Meet the 5 women that are the creators and owners of Seduction. Riley, Addison, Cami, Kat and Mia opened their restaurant/bar less than 2 years ago and since then they have had great success. Their business has brought love or been the foundation of their relationships to most of these women. In the first book - Listen to Me we meet Addison who falls in love with the hired musician - Jake. In Close to You the second book we read about Cami who has always been in love with her best friends brother Landon. The previous book before this is Blush For Me about Kat the bartender and Ryan the wine seller. So I am definitely excited to see how their location 'Seduction' brings Riley and the TV show producer Trevor together. Also to hopefully get a glimpse and more information on who Mia might end up with in the book coming out this December No Reservations (Fusion, #4.5) <3

As always Kristen Proby wrote a book with the perfect balance of sweet and sexy and the perfect mix of light and easy. This feel good book has the right amount of emotion and barely any stress. Which is exactly what I needed and love to read. Plus this comes to no surprise, because I love anything written by Kristen Proby. I have LOVED every book in the Fusion series and look forward to the last book (I assume) coming out at the end of this year.

Trevor and Riley hit it off instantly and the friendship comes fast. Both are hiding feelings of wanting to be intimate but are causally hanging out and texting. Their adorable and I knew that when it finally happened it would be magic.  Spoiler alert - it was better than magic.

Riley and Trevor are adorable together and seem to figure each other out pretty well. Things steam up fast and it works for them. Except there is that scary date of when Trevor returns to LA where he lives and is no longer filming the restaurant in Portland. The two seem to do the best the can to keep it off their minds and get serious and addicted to one another. The whole time I am reading I am waiting for the other show to drop just like Riley is. They are just too perfect for each other, and I knew there had to be something to break them up.. at least for a little bit. IT BETTER BE JUST FOR A LITTLE BIT. Like I said they are PERFECT for each other

The shoe of course drops and it breaks my heart but thankfully Kristen Proby knows how to put it back together again as always <3 Perfect ending to a perfect book and a perfect additional to an already perfect series. Get my drift here? This series is PERFECT! lol

I am truly loving this series so much. And for me, that's a huge thing. I tend to lose interest in series when they get past book 4, even if there are different characters in each book. I find that the author gets repetitive in things and that kills it for me. I hate admitting it, but that's what happen with Kristen's first series for me. But that is definitely not the case with this series, so far anyways.

The Beauty of Us is Riley's story. She's the brains behind Seduction and how to came to fruition and also their PR now. She and her other 4 best friends have made Seduction become the "IT" place in their area.

Riley has recently gotten back into the dating game, but has had some really terrible dates and when rehashing, they are quite entertaining. One night, she returns to their restaurant and recants her latest, but not so quaint, date. As she's explaining how horrible her date was, a lone gentleman at the bar chimes in with a few words of advice of her, in a very comical way.

As he's leaving, she finds out it's the producer of the show that will be featuring their restaurant. To say she was mortified, is putting it mildly. And everything just gets better from there for these two.

These two try to deny the attraction between them, but honestly, when something is that electrifying without trying, you have to see what's really there. One thing that I absolutely love was how this love blossomed from friendship and moved naturally onto more at the perfect pace - no insta-love or huge hurdles to overcome either. It was beautiful.

Kristen added the right touch of humor to this book and made it so real. It's impossible to not feel what these characters go through. You understand where they are both coming from and Trevor was the perfect gentleman. I can't say enough as to how well Kristen writes her characters.

Another great book in this series. And finally my fave lady of them all is up - MIA!! And with that epilogue at the end, I can see that Mia's story is going to be good one!!

I really, really wish that could have liked this more.

The story is worth 3.5 stars. It is engaging, has good humor and the background set in the past books make it easy to get the whole dynamic; however, when it came to the main couple... *sighs*

During the first half of the book I found Trevor absolutely enchanting: he is hard-working, good-looking and the perfect gentleman. Then we had to see OW stuff and I just got annoyed with the time it took to solve problems that are actually quite simple - though I'm aware that, had it happened like that, the book would have had the length of a novella.

And Riley, oh girl, why couldn't she behave more mature? She is beautiful, dedicated and a good friend, but more often than not we would see her acting like a teenager. You know, the "I don't do drama, but something happened and now I'm going to be dramatic in the not funny way" type.

Anyhow, the story is not long and I had fun. I'm expecting better things in the next installment, though.

The Beauty of Us is the fourth book in the Fusion series of adult contemporary romances. This is Riley's book.

The series features five best friends who run the popular Seduction restaurant together. The books are interconnected. Each book is narrated by a different one of the women. The Beauty of Us could be read as a standalone. Riley's romance begins in this book. However, all of the narrators from the previous books are featured in this book. And the four other women are in this book a lot. And their stories continue in the subsequent books. So if you are ever planning to read the first 3 books then I highly recommend reading the books in order.

The narrators of this book are Riley (30) and Trevor (37) (first person POVs). Riley is the marketing genius at Seduction. Trevor is the executive producer of the reality show that is going to feature Seduction.

I have enjoyed this series so much. I love these women and I love their friendships. The books are mostly light, romantic, fun and sexy. But they make me feel good. And I always look forward to reading about the next woman in her book.

My one complaint about the book is that I wish that we had seen Riley doing her job more. She was at the restaurant. But other than dealing with the reality show I have no idea what her job consists of.

Overall, this was a very enjoyable book. It was funny, sweet and full of romance. The stuff towards the end was definitely the most interesting part of the book for me. If you've loved the rest of the series then you will definitely love this book. What a good series!

*To me the book blurb seems a bit inaccurate. It says that Trevor is desperately trying to convince Riley to let him do the reality show with her restaurant. I am not sure if that is what the story was going to be. But in The Beauty of Us Seduction is doing the reality show.
