Part 3 is just as tension filled as the first 2 books. Each scenes has you stressing about the secrets and when they will be revealed. Rhett’s family may be rich and on the outside it looks like they have it all. However, behind the scenes they are a hot mess. Jensen gets caught up in her lies and secrets along with Rhett’s secrets. I did think the ending was a bit anticlimactic. It was like I held my breath for 200 pages and then nothing. That played well for Jensen’s emotional drama but I expected more. Overall, this was a good ending to the Rhett and Jensen love drama.

Damaged Hearts is the highly anticipated conclusion to Jensen and Rhett's unconventional love story that proves that love can conquer all...

After yet another shock-worthy cliffhanger in His Wasted Heart I knew that it was going to be impossible to wait for the final installment in the Damaged Hearts series, so the moment this story became available I knew that I was going to start and finish that same day, which is exactly what happened!

Jensen and Rhett are probably one of my all-time favorite Monica Murphy couples ever. I seriously could not get enough of these two and found myself completely invested in their story from the very first page. This is the kind of series that will keep readers on their toes with the unexpected twists and turns around every corner. Each surprise will shock you more than the one before. Be prepared for the emotions you will feel throughout their story!

Readers get ready for the perfect end to their story and if you haven't started the series yet, make sure to do so now because it's never too late! The Damaged Hearts series will become one of your favorite Monica Murphy series ever!

How can anyone survive living at the center of a time bomb. Rhett and Jensen are on the cusp of having the life of their dreams, when their happily ever after starts to unravel. Is their love strong enough to weather the storm clouds that are closing in? Murphy dares to explore love at it's most flawed. Damaged Hearts sorts through the ugliest of baggage to create something beautifully reborn.

Another wonderful series from Monica Murphy!!

Damaged Hearts like its predecessor are full of secret , lies and family drama which make it right up my alley. In the end the truth that we all want to know all came out and all the loose end being tied up in a neat little package.

Despite its satisfying conclusion , especially the showdown between Diane and Jensen. I am also left with more questions and curious as to what Park, Diane and Parker are thinking, the relationship Diane have with Park and Parker. All in all a prequel or sequel about Diane would be great. And I want to know is the story of

Rhett and Jensen are one of those couples whose trajectory has been so fraught with emotional turbulence that you wonder how these two will ever find contentment, individually and together. Jensen has lied repeatedly--and about some pretty big things--to Rhett, and he's also not quite full disclosure with her.

When His Wasted Heart concluded, Jensen had seen someone who sexually assaulted her. Worse, she sees him at a party at Rhett's father's house. She still hasn't revealed her connection to Rhett's family, despite having had MANY opportunities to do so.

Monica Murphy picks up this book where its predecessor left off, letting you know how Rhett responds to Jensen's panic over the party guest. Murphy then alternates between Rhett's and Jensen's perspectives, letting you see how each is feeling as they move forward (sometimes backward, sometimes sideways) in their relationship. There are times you will want to shout at Jensen to just be honest already, yet Murphy shows you all of the things that terrify Jensen about doing so. She also shows you Rhett's conflicts, and for a guy who seems to have it all, he certainly endures some conflict.

All along, Murphy builds to two climaxes: Jensen's big reveal with Rhett and her big reveal with Diane. I loved how Monica Murphy resolved both. They felt organic to her characters and not something drummed up in a sort of soap operatic flourish. Murphy has spent nearly three books getting you (and Rhett and Jensen) to these points, and she does not disappoint. Sometimes conflict is resolved as a team and with love and respect and openness to understanding, and sometimes there is no satisfaction. Sometimes there is just acceptance.

Never fear: Monica Murphy keeps Rhett and Jensen's sexy times very hot and very delicious. She gives you just the right amount of detail to make your loins quiver.

I enjoyed this series so much. Rhett is a good guy, and I so wanted him to find happiness and peace. Jensen is a bit more complicated, and I can't say I always liked her. But I was always on her side. If anyone in this series deserves contentment, it's her.

I have been desperate to read this conclusion to Jensen and Rhett's story and I'm happy to say that Monica Murphy did not disappoint, delivering a final instalment that held me captive from beginning to end. So much happened in this story that I was gripped, biting my nails and wishing for this series to end with a much deserved HEA.

"I can't chance letting you go, Jensen. I'm afraid you won't come back to me."

After finishing the previous book in this heart-stopping series, I knew that this book would be explosive and I was right. Jensen and Rhett had so many secrets and lies between them and I knew that it was only a matter of time before they were exposed. I was on the edge of my seat both excited and nervous for what would unfold in this last part of the chapter. I have always loved Jenson and Rhett together. They have made such a great couple and I have enjoyed the development of Jensen's character. With Rhett by her side, her life has turned around and she was given the love that she so badly needed. It made me so happy to see this couple making their relationship work and I was hopeful that they would be able to work through their problems.

"I always thought my truth would be the end of our relationship.
But maybe it's the beginning."

Throughout the story, despite all of the drama, there was also a whole lot of swoon as Jensen and Rhett realised how strong their feelings were for one another. I was also given a gorgeous epilogue as Monica gave me an ending that I loved. If you have been following this series, you will not be disappointed.

"You've got me now for as long as you want me."
"Let's make that forever and you've got a deal."

I was patiently waiting to see how everything was going to work out for Jensen and Rhett especially after that ending in Book 2. These two had more secrets held back from each other but somethings weren’t as secretive. The only ones that were in the dark were both of them.

Jensen and Rhett kept falling in love with each other more and more and it was making it difficult for them to reveal their secrets to each other. When Rhett discovered Jensen’s secret he actually took it better than I expected but she didn’t take his too well. She felt betrayed and hurt but I think most had to do with her upbringing and the feeling of abandonment and not feeling mattered. But Rhett always made her feel wanted and that she mattered.

Rhett as always trying to keep the calm and peace but for Jensen all of that went oh the window no matter if you were family or not. Jensen finally got the closure she wanted even though it wasn’t all hearts and Rhett also got the closure he needed. The love these two share was hard for anyone to get in between.

Not my favorite series by Monica Murphy. Rhett and Jensen seem to fix everything with sex and never really have a conversation. With the number of lies and secrets, the fall out should have had a bigger impact than it did.

With all the drama that in these books I expected more with the big reveal came that Diane was Jensen's mother. Instead it was all very anti-climatic, including when dad learned about his wife and son. I'm having a hard time buying into Rhett and Jensen getting a HEA with all the secrets they had, despite them coming out at the end.

The end is here! The final book in the Damaged Hearts trilogy, aptly named Damaged heart is now here!
What will happen when all the lies and secrets finally come out? Will Jensen and Rhett find their happily ever after? Are things finally falling into place, even when not all their secrets out? The feels and angst!

I loved seeing Jensen and Rhett as a real couple and realizing what they truly felt for each other. Together they seemed unstoppable. But with secrets and lies still holding them back, could they truly be happy together?

I really enjoyed Rhett and Jensen’s journey, heartbreaking and emotional as it was. This series and the finale were perfect in so many ways and emotional in others. So much has happened and when things really begin to emerge, the author did a great job on how she handled it. I loved the characters and their journey.

Damaged Hearts is the last book in the Damaged Hearts trilogy. It is the culmination of Jensen and Rhett's story. These two have come a long way and still have a few more hurdles to overcome before they have even think of any sort of HEA.

Jensen still has several secrets she is keeping from Rhett. Rhett has a secret he is keeping from Jensen as well. Now add in the creepy uncle factor, the overly sweet father, Parker, and the weird acting brother, Park. The topping on this drama filled cake is Diane and the fact that this nasty diva has justice served to her on a silver platter.

Damaged Hearts wrapped up this series very neatly. I was happy that all of my questions were answered and that there were plenty of awww moments as well. I will be interested to see if any of the other supporting characters get a spin off book of their own.

All the lies, all the secrets come to an explosive finale in the last book in the Damaged Hearts series!

•••••••••••

REVIEW: DAMAGED HEARTS is the third and final instalment in Monica Murphy’s contemporary, new adult DAMAGED HEARTS erotic, romance trilogy focusing on college students Rhett Montgomery, and Jennifer ‘Jensen’ Fanelli. DAMAGED HEARTS should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events, and cliff hanger of book two HIS WASTED HEART.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Jensen and Rhett) DAMAGED HEARTS continues to focus on the secrets and lies between our leading couple. No longer determined to destroy the woman who abandoned her as a child, Jensen settles into her relationship with Rhett Montgomery only to come face to face with the deviant who almost destroyed her life. Secrets continue to build as the dysfunctional Montgomery family dynamics force both Jensen and Rhett to bury the truth behind more lies. The prospect of revealing more devastating information could blow the family apart, as Jensen and Rhett battle with the knowledge that infidelity is a by-product of the family DNA. The push and pull of their relationship, compounded by secrets and lies force Rhett and Jensen to reconsider what it is they want from one another, as Rhett’s family life begins to implode.

DAMAGED HEARTS is the culmination of three instalments wherein the growing angst and building anxiety, intrigue and butterflies surrounding the secrets and the lies falters in the face of several anticlimactic conflict resolutions. When all of the information, knowledge and secrets are revealed, the anticipated reaction and backlash are not forthcoming. There were no apparent histrionics or theatrics for the reader to observe as most of the confrontations were handled behind the scenes. There was a quiet acceptance and acknowledgment that no one is perfect, and life must go on. Monica Murphy’s slow reveal of secrets, and the bold and colorful characters will captivate your attention until the final reveal.

“Who knew Rhett Montgomery, the man I viewed as my mortal enemy, would turn into the person I would depend on the most?”

Damaged Hearts is the third installment in the Damaged Hearts Series and it cannot be read as a standalone. If you haven’t read Her Defiant Heart, then you need to start there.

With that being said, Damaged Hearts picks up right after His Wasted Heart ends. Jensen has seen the one person that can rattle her the most and with that, comes a secret that Rhett has. And it’s a whopper.

Jensen and Rhett are getting closer to each other but with Jensen’s secrets and lies hanging over them, it’s a constant battle. Add to the mix with Rhett having a secret and it’s a recipe for disaster. Yet, it’s clear these two belong together.

I’ve said from the beginning just how sweet Rhett is and I maintain that. His love for Jensen has involved and he’s super patient with her. Honestly, if I didn’t like her so much, I’d be mad at him for allowing her to treat him the way she does. But I do like her and I know she’s scared so I easily got over it.

I will say that Rhett’s father completely redeems himself in this book. I always got the sleazy vibe from him but towards the end I came to understand him a bit more.

Overall, I enjoyed Damaged Hearts and the series. If you are looking for sweet revenge to lovers’ story, then this is the series for you! I’ve had fun with it and am sad that it’s over but I got what I wanted from both Rhett and Jensen and I’m happy where it ended.

In this last book of the Hearts trilogy, there is no big plot twist or surprises, just the unveiling of truth. Both Jensen and Rhett had been keeping secrets from each other, and when Jensen decides that she wants to stay with Rhett and try to have a long lasting relation with him, the secrets start to pop out. The plot slowly starts to unravel as all the conflicts work out, and we get a few minor surprises.

This last book was a little anti-climactic because most of what happened was expected. I found that Jensen and Rhett’s behavior was a bit messy in the beginning of the book; Jenssen was waffling about staying with Rhett or getting away, and Rhett wanted to solve the situation with his brother, his uncle, his stepmother, but he also waffled and didn’t take any positive action. I saw him mostly coming back and forth between his family and Jensen and reacting rather than acting. I found it ironic that even though Jensen was carrying the secret about her mother and her reasons for approaching Rhett in the beginning, she felt betrayed and made a ruckus when she learned that the guy who attacked her in the strip club was Rhett’s uncle and he hid the information. It was a case of pot meeting kettle.

The book was entertaining and the finale everything I was expecting to be. So satisfying when the bad guys get what they deserve!

The final shebang, the conclusion the last dance! yup in another words book three of the trilogy.

The past rears it's ugly head in the form of her would be rapist. A stranger now has a real name.

His life mapped out, they both see it, they both want to deny it but it's there. She's not his forever.

Self sabotage and lies around the corner in every direction. Avoidance and discretion can only last so long.

Denial and love aren't friends, they don't dance in harmony they cause confliction and confusion. Moments of anger and regret.

Rhett the golden boy who toes the line in all he does, but does he really.

Jensen the girl of two names, of two futures one with, one without, the girl with a failing plan.

A fantastic dramatic ending to an emotional epic journey.

Moments of shock and awe, cries of "well I wasn't expecting that" and calm waters this book HAS IT ALL!!

I don't usually go for the goody two shoes guys but Rhett wasn't as squeaky clean as I originally thought. This pleased me greatly!

Jensen.. well what can I say she's an utterly fantastic character. Her mind working ten to the dozen as she's pulled in two very different directions had me sat on the edge of my seat wondering which way she would fall.

Why have I not heard of this author before this trilogy I ask myself...

This is one series that you will not forget in a long time it's that good!

Damaged Hearts is the conclusion to the trilogy and this time around we get alternating POVs between Rhett and Jensen. This entire storyline has had its ups and downs and both Rhett and Jensen have been trying to navigate their struggling romance with personal drama that continues to threaten any sort of happiness. I felt for Rhett and the jaw dropping revelations he's had to contend with from his family. He's a good guy who doesn't deserve to be put in the middle of family drama. His love for Jensen is all-consuming but I still wanted him to get wildly angry at her early deception as to why she wanted to get to know him. He took things way too easily and it's almost as if the author just wanted to tie up this story the easiest way possible.

With Jensen, she somewhat got her closure with her birth mother but where was the fierce confrontation I wanted? It sadly didn't exist and I think that scene could have really been fun to read and pivotal to this entire storyline. That is the crux of this trilogy: Jensen finding her birth mother and getting the answers and revenge she wanted.

In the end, I'm happy that both Rhett and Jensen found the love of their lives in each other but I just needed a bit more angst since the initial premise had so much promise.

3 stars.

I love Jensen and Rhett so much and I’m definitely going to miss them now that this series is over.

I love that Rhett was so patient with Jensen. She’s holding a lot back and isn’t sure how they’ll move forward once Rhett finds out her big secret however he’s always there showing her that he’s going to stick by her side.

This third book gets a bit complicated with all the ridiculous amounts of family drama and Jensen and Rhett are both weighed down by their secrets. In this book they both have big secrets they’re keeping and neither knows how or when to tell the other. I do love how her secret was revealed and how Rhett took it.

The chemistry between these two is ridiculously hot and honestly the absolute best part of this book. I just love how they clearly can’t help themselves around the other. They could have the worst fight and then you feel how their bodies can’t stay away from each other. I absolutely loved their chemistry and I’m forever here for Rhett’s calm confidence.

I cannot believe the story is over, this is one of those stories you wish it could go on and on forever. Monica Murphy is an amazing author, this series became one of my favorite stories from her.

Damaged Hearts started off where the second book left off, the readers get a look how Rhett reacts and feels to the way Jensen has panicked when she saw the person at the party. This story was told in such an amazing way, we see how not only Jensen is feeling, but also how Rhett feels. This story is about truth, life, and love. These two characters have changed so much from when we first met them.

When the secrets reveal, there is so much you feel. You want to know the reactions, the feelings, and you get everything you want in Damaged Hearts. This story will stick with you forever. Monica Murphy just gave us a story we will never want to stop re reading.

This is the final installment of the Damaged Hearts Trilogy.

The conclusion to this story did not let me down. This book was told in both Rhett and Jensen's POV.

Without spoiling the book, it wrapped up all of the twists and turns this story took. Rhett and Jensen's relationship continued evolve. But, were they able to withstand all the issues and work past all the secrets they each kept? Or was the deception and revelation of all the secrets just too much for their relationship?

This book has a lot of the elements I look for, romance, suspense, drama, angst and it was steamy. You will definitely fall for Rhett with all his charisma and Jensen who is sweet and strong.

The only thing about the series that I didn't like is that it was broken out in too three books, it definitely could have been one book.

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Damaged Hearts after the explosive ending in the last book in this series. And Monica Murphy did not disappoint. Damaged Hearts kept me on the edge of my seat from the beginning till the end. As the lies between Rhett and Jensen slowly come out, there are even more twists and turns, for this couple to deal with.
Rhett and Jensen’s relationship is put to the test, but although their relationship may be complicated, these two have grown closer together. Will Rhett continue to give Jensen all the love and understanding that he has in the past when all the truth is revealed? Will Jensen run from the Rhett, after all they have been through? You will need to read to find out! Loved this series!

We finally get all the secrets revealed in this last book. It’s written in a dual point of view. We get to see what both Rhett and Jensen are thinking in the same book.
I liked Rhett and Jensen’s relationship and how is kept changing. My only problem was that they would rather spend time in bed having sex than talking anything through.
Rhett has a really messed up family. His brother, uncle, stepmother and father. The only one that’s not messed up is his sister.
I like that Jensen is more honest with Rhett in this book. I just don’t like her way of thinking when it comes to having a boyfriend with money.
Overall, well written and I loved how it all came together. I highly recommend these books. Can’t wait for whatever Monica Murphy has coming out next.

Amazing series! I absolutely loved it! Couldn’t put it down, finished in a day. Secrets are toxic and Rhett’s and Jensen’s were definitely that! Jensen still tried to stay away from Rhett but he just wasn’t having it! Plus she needed him just as much! The two of them started telling each other some little secrets and they were working their way through them. But when two big secrets are revealed, Rhett thought for sure she would never forgive him. But when he finds out Jensen’s secret, he actually went after her. Jensen didn’t think she would she’s Rhett again but there he was. The two of them were meant for each other and they proved that, by working through everything together. I just really loved their story!

The last book in the Damaged Hearts series and man you don't want to miss out on this one. Damanged Hearts is so good. Everything that started to unravel in the previous books for Jensen and Rhett will come to a head. You will love this one so much. Jensen and Rhett finally face down the family of secrets and you feel the lightness come over the couple as everything comes out even more. I love Jensen and how she handles everything she is faced. Rhett, if he hasn't made you swoon over him yet in the other two books then he will in this one. I love Rhett and Jensen together. They are hot and sexy and will leave you fanning yourself by the end of this one. Damaged Hearts is a wonderful conclusion to this series that I just had to binge read.

Since the first series the secrecy is really all this book is about beside the obvious attraction between the leading characters, and the 2nd series of this book also continues with the similar theme. However, since we generally live these dramatic lives through the characters in these books, I felt the pace of the book was same throughout the series and when finally after building such anticipation from the first book, it really is a bit disappointing that the revealation is just flat and feels just like going through the motion. This book is not bad but could have been better; the repeation and stretching of the same things for the three books is banal.

I expected more from this series honestly. The premises were good and the expectations were high too, but the story didn't give me back wait I expected. It was a good built up, but then it turned out to be really disappointing. Something that I would have never said is that there was too much sex scenes in three short novels. We can say it covered more than the 50% of the pages in this series. I think this is the main problem: there is nothing really apart from steamy sex and maybe a few lies and secrets here and there that when they get out don't do anything. There is no drama, no twists and turns and it was pretty bland.

This series was good! I know I read a few reviews that said it was all about sex, but let's think back to how you were at that age. I know at that age I was all over any guy I was dating the first chance I got. (Maybe not quite as heavy, but really though.) I wasn't a great communicator and did a lot of dumb things. I could relate to Jensen not knowing how to deal with her feelings and pushing away. I enjoyed that we got duel POV for this last book because I always like to know how they both are feeling. While at times it seemed like there was a lot of back and forth, it was a pretty accurate portrayal of what would happen at that age.

This is the much anticipated ending to the Damaged Hearts Series. After the cliffhanger in book 2, I couldn’t wait to see how things panned out for Jenson and Rhett! The two are falling for each other more and more everyday but all the secrets and lies are building up! Once they’re revealed will they make it as a couple?!
This book definitely kept me on my toes wondering what was going to happen next! I really enjoyed how things ended for this series!! Can’t wait to see what Monica has for us next!!
