For some of the country's best footballers, the draft is the culmination of years of hard work.
They've had the past few years to put themselves in the shop window to AFL recruiters in the hope of finding their way onto a list.
The AFL introduced a raft of changes to the Draft in 2018, with the two-day televised event and live pick trading to feature again.

When is the 2019 AFL Draft?
This year's draft, like the 2018 edition, will be held over two days at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne.
The first round will be called out on Wednesday, November 27, starting at 6:30 pm.
Those players who miss out in the first round will then have a nervous 24-hour wait to find out if they have been selected, with the second round on Thursday, November 28.
Players who are selected will have already missed the first few weeks of pre-season training at their new teams, though they still will be able to get settled in before clubs break up over Christmas.

Who was the number 1 pick in the 2019 AFL draft?
With the first pick in the 2019 AFL draft, the Gold Coast Suns selected exciting Vic Metro product Matt Rowell, who was projected to land on the Gold Coast from a long way out.
An elite inside midfielder, Rowell is an excellent user of the footy, helping the Oakleigh Chargers to NAB League final win with a best-on-ground performance with 44 disposals and two goals.
