I offer sincere condolences to the Burak's family and friends. We crossed paths and chatted frequently during his time at TechAmerica/CompTIA and I always admired his intelligence and engaging and friendly manner. We had lost touch since he moved to the Hill, but I will miss him even more now. He will remain in my mind as a model of what I would like my sons to become.

I am so sorry to learn of Burak's passing. It was a privilege to count him as a friend and colleague. I got to know him through our mutual work on technology policy and enjoyed so much exchanging ideas and learning more about his life and experiences growing up here in the US and in Turkey. He was a tremendously hard worker and always warm and kind. His family is my thoughts and prayers.

The Olson's

This news of Burak is very sad and deeply felt by our family, the Olson's, and his family at Cafe Intermezzo. We are honored that he chose to work with us as he made plans for his adult life. When he moved to DC we were all so excited - as he was one who had it all - smart, hard-working, honorable, purposeful and a joy to be around. Our prayers are for him and for his family and friends.

The impact Burak had on my life will always be remembered. From the early days of Public Speaking class to the lifetime of memories we had at Café, I am so grateful our lives crossed paths more than once. I will forever remember our brotherhood, and you will forever be loved and missed.

I am deeply saddened by this loss. I was a colleague of Burak's and did not know him well outside of work. But in the little that I knew him, I knew him to be authentic, hard working, intellectually curious, and kind. He was one of those people that, even if you met him once, you remembered him. To his loved ones, this is a terrible time, I know. But please know that happy memories of Burak live on not just in the people that he knew well, but also in the people that knew him even briefly. He was just that special. My thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones.

I met Burak at an ATAA conference where he spoke about the US political process and encouraged young people to actively participate in it.
