The Dome Theater program is visiting local area schools and it made a stop at Harding Middle School in Steubenville.
This program is designed to focus on STEM and was developed by Rice University, Houston Museum of Natural Science, and had the support of NASA.
5th and 6th graders got a chance to feel like they were 6 miles under the sea in this 3-D experience.
Harding Middle School Assistant Principal, Jennifer Agresta said, “I think it’s a nice way for them to be able to have a real life experience. So they are able to take what they’ve learned in the classroom and apply it in this Dome Theater and actually see what they have been talking about for this time.”
Agresta also said she hopes to have the program back so the 7th and 8th graders get a chance to experience it as well.
The Dome Theater program’s next stop is Friday at Edison Junior High School from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m..
