The first series of Taboo went down a treat with viewers and reviewers, creating the sort of success that normally has show creators clamouring to peg down as many series as possible.

But the man who wrote the Tom Hardy drama, Stephen Knight, says that there is a definite endgame with the show – in fact, there will be no more than two further series.
"I can feel the three acts. The first was 'the escape', the second will be 'the journey', and the third will be 'the arrival', and that'll be it," he told HuffPost UK.
"I don't think the story will be what viewers are expecting, but hopefully they'll enjoy it."
Knight is already penning the second series of Taboo, but he recently said that he's planning an early 2018 shooting schedule.
"I would say we would hope to be shooting it – I don't know whether this is supposed to be secret or not – early next year," he explained.
He went on to say that he was really pleased with the positive reaction that the first series received, from all ends of the viewing spectrum.
"It gives me faith in human nature because people have responded so well to it. And it's not just an intellectual audience, it's all sorts of people who really like it.
Taboo series 2 will air on the BBC.
