Beau
Not everyone born of Mafiya blood wants to be in the life. I was determined to never go anywhere near it. Headed in the opposite direction, I pushed away from my family and their legacy. Until they needed me. And then...so did she.
I got sucked in too deep, going after her and trying to save them all. Now, there's no turning back. I'd do anything for my cousins, for Sasha.
After all, family is everything.

This is a new author to us and I have to say that we liked our first read by them. The plot and characters were engaging and it was a nice Romantic Suspense something I don't read a lot of so this was a nice change.

Beau had to be my favorite character of all the characters in the story.I found him to be kind ,sweet, protective, loyal.deadly, dangerous, had a conscious.I love how his family respected his choice to be a cop and it never seem to effect his relationship with his family and cousins as they didn't alway work within the law.Having your family members being part of the mafia had to be stressing as you straddle both worlds especially as you were referred to a the prince on more than one occasion. Sometimes distance from ones family is not always enough even though you chose not to be part of the family business its still part of who you are. But, who you are and you family are known for is protection and influence and power.Times like these are when your family connections work to your advantage. We saw many changes in Beau as he has seen is shared of violence and the messed up world be life in being and undercover cop but when he infiltrates a human trafficking ring.Once inside he has encountered the depravities of such men that he so sickened by what he has seen and heard that he his out for blood and would like to kill them all.Being a cop has been important to him but, he soon realizes that being on the other-side of the law has more advantages to eliminating scum he has thus far encountered. He has a choice to make.

One of the other things that I enjoyed about the story is how his family had his back the deeper he got in they were their to protect his back as well help free as many women as possible and shut this operation down.

Sasha was one of the women Beau was able to save.It amazes me that she was strong enough to survive the depravities that she did and remain somewhat sane.Beau's attraction to Sasha is apparent but after everything she has gone through he only wants her to be free and being tied to him isn't in her best interest or so he keeps telling himself. It is a battle of wills to see who caves first as friendship and love evolve.

I enjoyed the stories plot and the characters as well as the outcome it was filled with danger, romance, battle of wills and how influence and power are more important than the law itself in some instances. For me I believe that Sasha needs someone like Beau who is both kind and possessive as well as dangerous even though parts of his personality are not going to be a positive sometimes within their relationship she is going to need his strengths to lean on.I loved seeing that these hard rigged men let us see their softer side on occasion as it was sweet and that they cared and that they did have hearts after-all as well as being protective of your families mate.

Although I enjoyed the story some of Sasha's and her actions and naivety got on my nerves as her requests were a bit unreasonable and had her acting like a child on more than one occasion .I wanted to smack her for making stupid choices. What were thinking you lived among men like Beau and his family your whole-life?In this case it was about safety and protection not making you a prisoner or taking something away from you.

Looking forward to reading what comes next as Beau is still searching for Nico's sister. I have a feeling we will be seeing this cast of characters at a later date.

Recommend read to all.

Now we get to Beau's story. He is the cousin to Tate and Viktor and wasn't raised up in the Mafia. He wanted nothing to do with it and went so far as to become a cop. Of course he is on leave when he showed up in the last book and is still on leave for much of this one.
He is still searching for Natasha, Nikoli's sister who disappeared when he was just a babe. In doing so he finds out when an auction is going to happen and goes. He might not find her at this auction but he meets someone else who becomes special to him. He is determined to bring down the Master who is behind all of this. Question is...is it the real Master or not?

I did really enjoy this book.

A good story with Mafia involvements but a little disappointed.

About the plot;
Beau has abandoned his roots with the Russian Mafia and become a member of the police force. Beau still has lots of connections and is still welcomed by the Russian mafia alin with other Mafia ties.

With time off from work Beau uses the time to continue to look for his cousins best friend who is believed to be taken by a sex trade years ago. Five years of dead ends and Beau finally gets an opportunity to go to an auction were he finds women being bid on.

Sasha and Beau first meet at the auction, Beau is drawn to her, she is also Russian and a slave. Weeks later Beau has the opportunity to bid on her.

Beau's main aim is to bring down this illegal business and with the help of other Mafia members they begin to plot.

Sasha and Beau get close, she's malnourished and weak, Beau Cares for her and she grows attached.

Sasha's clingy and bratty, I couldn't bond with her character at all, I expected her to be meek, timid but also strong for what she had been through but bratty and throwing tantrums when she doesn't get her own way?

Sasha's history didn't fit the personality she had been illustrated with.

When I first started reading this I thought the woman Beau had been searching for, for 5 years would be found but no it wasn't the story I first envisaged, Sasha was a girl who stood out at the auction not the missing girl Beau has been searching for.

I feel more time in the story with the characters bonding, learning more about each other may of helped with my perception of the characters and helped me as a reader to feel a connection but more focus was on the sex trafficking destruction plans.

A good plot, not unique I've read this sort of plot before not to different.
Beau wasn't as Alpha as I like and Sasha wasn't the strong heroine I prefer in a book.

Good read, a plot with suspense, told in dual pov's and leads to a to sudden, and I felt rushed hea.

Those who like action an interesting story and Mafia reads will like.

Dang! This book was all kinds of awesome. It’s a dark, gritty, suspense-filled ride of a tale with an unconventional love story at the very heart of it.

A quote from Michael J. Fox used in the book summed this story up for me perfectly:

“Family isn’t an important thing. It’s everything.”

Beau may have turned his back on the family ‘business’ by choosing a different path, but there is nothing he would not do for them. When they call, he will answer. Family come first, last and always to him. Hence his current assignment which is quickly morphing into a personal mission.

With the arrival of Sasha, his world is thrown off its axis, or maybe it was just righting itself again? This world is not black and white. As Beau tries to keep a foot in both worlds, lines become blurred and decisions need to be made.

“This life…it seems to be becoming more and more my own way of life as well.”

Maybe Beau’s place is to exist in the grey?

OMG…I feel like this story swallowed me whole and spat me out at the end. It consumed me. I was done, caput, the end.

I don’t think I could have picked a better book to pop my Sapphire Knight cherry! Although this is a spin-off from the Russkaya Mafiya series, it can be read as a standalone. Yet, the writing and characters were so good that I need to go back and read the other series now.

I feel that the last words should come from Sasha. I know, I know, I haven’t mentioned her much. I just think that she needs to tell you her story her own way.

“My soul knows his like it’s an old friend from another life.”

Beau

***ARC provided in exchange for an honest review***

This is a book that you never anticipated but is so glad that she wrote. Beau if you followed the series is a relative (cousin) of the Mafiya but went the opposite side of the law meaning he's a cop. He was doing a favor for a man who worked for his cousins but also played a part in his investigation that led him down a path that once he encountered Sasha and he liked what he seen he was drawn to her. There's nothing he won't do when he see's someone suffering and after being hooked with one look at Sasha the lines are drawn and there's nothing and no one who will stand in his way. I loved this book and devoured it in sitting. This is a book that everyone will definitely enjoy and I'm glad to have read it.

Wow, what an intense and passionate story this is! Sapphire Knight never disappoints her readers, and this one is certainly no different. Sexy alpha Beau is from a mafia family, but works in law enforcement. When he comes across a sex trafficking ring, he is determined to put a stop to it, and he comes across Sasha, who is broken and vulnerable. No spoilers, you really need to read this one for yourself!
This story is gritty, dark, intense, powerful, passionate, twisted, suspenseful, and had me on tenterhooks throughout. This is a definite must read, and I recommend for all reads. Awesome work Sapphire!

I love Beau. He's so intriguing, that I just wanted the story to keep going.
I really enjoyed watching Sasha's growth. Going from her past to the ending of the book was a world of difference, yet it never felt rushed or forced.
I loved how Beau treated Sasha, like she wasn't a possession, yet at the same time he wanted to claim her for his own. I could feel his emotional turmoil throughout the whole book.
Their love story is definitely different than most, as is this book from any of Sapphire Knight's other Mafiya series.
I would highly recommend this book, and I'd read it again in a heartbeat!

I loved Beau, he was a protector and he was caring amd thoughtful, “Sasha, it’s not that I don’t want you, trust me. I’ve thought of kissing your lips several times in the past two days alone.” I have to say that although I liked this book, it was not one of my favorites by this author, I thought the heroine could use a little more individuality if that's the right word, I wanted her to grow her wings more and develop into her own person, and I didn't really see that. This was just an alright read for m

Not everyone that's born into a life of crime embraces it. In fact some like Beau make up Fake last names and become cops instead!!!!

Sasha is trapped, a life of misery and pain. Until Beau arrives in her life, a knight with a cop badge and mafia family!

I have read all of Sapphire Knights books in the Mafia group so although this was slightly different to all the others I still absolutely loved all of it!

I devoured it as fast as the others, I look forward to more mafia from Sapphire Knight.

Great storyline

Another great addition to this series. I would recommend reading the previous books but it isn't all that necessary to follow Beau and Sasha's story. So we see Beau go through some internal struggles about the direction his life is going and when he see's Sasha he knows what he must do. Sasha who has been through hell comes out stronger with the help of Beau's family and we see the transformation she makes into an independent lady.

Another great book by Sapphire Knight. I read this one in one sitting. Beau is a cop and has family ties to the Russian Mafia. Working to break up a sex trafficking ring with his family, he meets Sasha, his little dove. Instantly he wants to protect her and falls in love. I love how Sasha's strength came out under Beau's loving care. This was a truly sweet love story between Sasha and Beau

Started off great but just went downward really quickly. Other than the H and h, the characters felt very flat. I know the h is supposed to be a broken person but her inner monologues and attitudes are just annoying as hell. Also for someone that is so tortured and deprived, she ‘healed’ way too quickly it’s unbelievable. The story felt rush and lacks depth. Three stars for the little action in the second half of the book, and the H, which I think make up for the things the story lacks.

Beau Masters is a cop that believes in the law, but even he is willing to bend it when needed to put the monsters where they belong, in jail or in the ground. Working undercover puts him in dangerous situations. But the most dangerous mission that he has ever been on is the one in trying to find the kidnapped sister of his cousins’ guard. Nothing says danger like getting entangled with his Russian Mafia family, even if it is the ones that he likes. Now he is calling in all the markers and favors that he can, even if means infiltrating the world that he has never wanted to be a part of. But now the stakes are higher than ever before. Not only because he is going deeper than he even wanted too, but because of Sasha.

Remembering her past has allowed Sasha to maintain a little something of hope in her life that she has buried deep. No one can take it from her and no one can tarnish it, no matter what is done to her body or what drugs are pushed through her veins. She knows that she had family that cared for her, a mother that loved her and gave her life to try to save her, but she wasn’t strong enough. Now Sasha has a chance to escape the hell that she has been in since she was six years old. She finally begins to have hope that she can have a life without the pain and humiliation that she has endured in the past. Her monsters are not dead, and Beau is ready to embrace his heritage to wreck vengeance on those who held her and stop them.

I am not really a reader of Mafia books, but I was very intrigued with this book. And I was not disappointed. Beau is a really complex, yet simple, character. He is cop with a very interesting set of friends and family that he cares for. Definitely an alpha male with series badass vibes, but he also has a gentle side that is so endearing it pulled me right in. Sasha is also an interesting character. So damaged and broken, but she has a true strength that allows her to continue on. She is definitely a very strong character and fits in well with Beau character. The intrigue is spot on and the danger is pronounced, but it didn’t feel like the typical mafia books that I have read in the past. The men were dangerous, but also had strong women that stood by their sides and they valued them. I really enjoyed that part. I flew through the book and wasn’t put off at any time. I definitely recommend this book and now have a new author to add to my autobuy list.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Sapphire. I have been needing a fix of these men for a while and I absolutely loved this book. Now if you haven't read Sapphire's books before you don't necessarily have to read them in order to love this book but I am one of those people that enjoy things more when I get everything. This is a spin off so you will be fine without doing so.

Beau, what a man faced with a dilemma. Can't imagine having everyone in your family involved with the mafiya, heck running it, and going with law enforcement instead. He is a man that is a stickler for rules, especially with following laws but he has been looking for someone that was taken and put into the sex slave industry and has been doing so for 5 long years. He is starting to see the merit of joining the family business as time goes. He is finding it hard to think that the law can handle these awful men in the way they should be. When he meets Sasha the decision he needs to make becomes clearer and clearer. Knowing everything she has been through he is finding his attraction and need towards Sasha a tough one to deal with.

My heart absolutely broke for Sasha and all that she and others have had to endure. The struggle that she has every day is one that makes you pity her on one hand but marvel at her strength when she has been condition to no longer have any. She is a fighter as much as she can and I loved her so much. Being with Beau isn't necessarily going to be easy, especially when there are others that want to end things before they've barely just began.

This book is full of so much emotions. You are going to want to jump in and commit acts of violence many times. Your eyes will open up to something that we all know occurs but no one thinks much about sadly. It is just a book that will not only have you invested as a book but as something that will make you think about the world itself and what real people struggle with. Sapphire did such an amazing job and I really can't wait to read more in the hopefully near future.

I have read quite a few of this author's books and I swear I say this after I read each one. Her writing gets better each time. This one is sort of a spinoff of her Russkaya Mafiya series, a standalone, but there is mention of Beau's relatives in this book, so we get to see some of our past sexy Russians!

Beau, geeze, I loved Beau! He is the epitome of an all around perfect Hero. Though he may have been born into the Russian Mafia, he decides to take a different route in life. It's interesting because, though he wants nothing to do with that life, he seems to have acquired many friends/acquaintances exactly like his own family. So really he doesn't ever stray far from that life, however, he's on the opposite side of what they do. That doesn't mean he wouldn't do anything for family, but he isn't a criminal and he does what he believes is right. Not everything is black and white and lines get a little blurred along the way.

Sasha comes into his life and all bets are off. He's determined to save this girl and she's determined never to lose this white knight, her protector. He wants her to fly free, find herself. She's had a rough life growing up, and he wants to free her from it all. She was sort of scattered in her feelings, which when you read how she grew up, you kind of understand why. She has to learn how to interact with people again, and change her way of thinking. She comes across as a little kooky at times, but again, it's no surprise with her upbringing.

I really enjoyed this surprise book! I hadn't read Sapphire Knights other books in quite some time, and I seemed to fly right through this one. I feel like she's come a long way since her first book and you can really see that in her writing, feel it. Reading this reminded me that I need to catch up on her other books, as I'd forgotten how much I'd come to like this author. Really great read!

Stunning, gritty, Intense!!

I love a good Russian Mafiya Romance. The men are always so strong, fiercely protective; they love hard and fight harder. They are so commanding they make you weak in the knees. Beau Masters is no exception.

Although Beau has chosen a different path to the family business, he cannot help but be sucked in when someone needs help. It is his weakness he cannot see people harmed, especially the innocent. When his current adventure takes him into the seedy underbelly of human sex trafficking he nearly loses his cool, it is so hard to hide his disdain for the men who revel in the show put on for them by the traffickers.

He meets a beautiful broken dove who he feels an instant connection with and only then does he begin to use his familial influences to get what he wants, which is her. The pull to her is so strong and Sascha feels it too. She is determined to become his at any cost.

I loved the interaction between Beau and Sasha. He is so weary because of the things that have happened to her and he is determined to do her no more harm even if it means he cannot have her, even if he feels that she should be his with every fibre of his being. Sasha is not backing down, she will show him what she can be for him so that he will keep her. Her strength and backbone are commendable.
I devoured this book in a single day, I was totally fixated on their story and how it would end.

So full of fire and passion

Beau has spent many years distancing himself from his family, but when push comes to shove he realizes that his family are the people he needs the most. As a police officer the last thing anyone would want is others knowing their father was the King of the Mafiya, Beau has changed his name and has sworn to uphold the justice system to do just this. For the past 5 years he has been trying to find Nikolai's sister who was abducted and forced into the sex trade industry. While at a special event his eyes land on a woman, Sasha, that immediately has his Mafiya blood flowing to the surface and Beau facing the rabbit hole head on. If he attempts to save this woman and the many others he may have to let go of the life he's fought so hard to achieve. Is there a way to keep the balance between justice and the law? Will Beau seize the opportunity to find out the true importance of family?

You will find out the answer to those questions when you read Undercover Intentions. This is such a passionate story full of pain and love that will have you holding your breath while screaming out loud! The words written by Sapphire Knight wrap around the reader and draw them in like a master training their flock, the intensity and depth will have you submitting relinquishing your right to do anything but read until the very end. I definitely recommend you pick it up and find out how a little dove can go from being held in a cage to soaring in vivid color!!!

Best surprise ever.

Sapphire Knight is one of those authors that's just.... fucking amazing and needs to be talked about more. I discovered her only about two months ago and I feel like I've gotten lost in a rabbit hole... only I don't want to ever leave. Raw. Edgy. Intense. Addicting. Her words have quickly become a top favorite.

Undercover Intentions is a standalone spin off novel from her sexy and suspenseful Russkaya Mafiya series... the one I'm currently reading present day. And like those books, Undercover Intentions was a brilliant read, with a cover to cover, edge of your seat, page gripping storyline that you can't help but get lost between the pages.

Beau... loyal, fierce, protective, gentle, alpha to the core
Sasha... broken, vulnerable, strong, passionate, kind

These two consumed me right from the start. Beau was so swoony, stealing my heart and locking it up tight. Sasha broke my heart at times but gained my admiration all in the same.

While it wasn't easy and things were complicated and really twisted, watching Sasha and Beau push was so inspiring.... and made me root hard.

If you read one book by this author, this is a great way to jump in though you'll love it more if you go to the start.

I highly recommend this book.

Beau was born into a crime family, and this isn't something he wants to be part of, so he chose a different path. However, he's never forgotten that family comes first, so when they need him, he comes. His newest assignment is not helping either, as it's looking more and more like he's going to have to live his life in the gray zone, especially since it's coinciding with his family. If that's not stressful enough, Sasha turned his world upside down even more, and with getting to know her, his black and white world is never going to be the same. I LOVE Sapphire Knight's stories, as she never fails to feed my inner dark & twists self, and Undercover Intentions is no exception. Reading this story brought my crazy emotions out to play, as I physically felt like I was transported into this world, so by the end, I didn't want to click my ruby red shoes to come home. Ms. Knight is simp;y put, BRILLIANT, and highly addictive. If all of the suspenseful, f-bomb dropping moments weren't enough, the underlying love story is fantastically unconventional, and superbly awesome! I will NEVER EVER stop reading this EPIC author, and I'm going to go into bossy mode by saying, that EVERYONE SHOULD GET THIS BOOK! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is the first book I have read by Sapphire Knight. And I am definitely a fan and will definitely be reading more by her. I could truly relate to Beau and his need to distance himself from his birthright and place in his family. He wanted to known for more than being a part of that. But isn’t it ironic that once your “family” needs you—all of those reasons go away.

This book is about Beau Masters. He is an undercover cop that happens to be from a Mafia family whom has worked his life keeping that part of his life and identity hidden from the world. That is until his father called needing his help locating a girl. And he becomes infatuated with finding the girl. As time goes on…. Beau gets deeper and deeper within in the family and their activities.

Will he save the girl as well as save himself from the Mafia life? Will his life go back to normal as before? Or will it consume him?
You will have to pick up the book to find out.

“I’ve purposelessly distanced myself from that part of my family to prove that I’m nothing like that bloodline. I’m not Mafia, and I’m not a Masterson. Just to drive it in deeper that I’m different and I’ll never belong to that side of my family, my last name’s Masters.” --Beau

I have read all of the Russkaya Mafiya from Sapphire Knight and even though this is a standalone I loved this book! I was happy to see some familiar faces in here and was glad that Beau got his story. Beau is on the opposite side of things with his family, being a cop and all, but when he helps out his cousin's bodyguard and friend Niko he will spend years looking for Niko's sister. Which leads him down a rabbit hole he didn't expect and finding a woman he never saw coming in his search. Sasha knows nothing other that what the Master tells her and violence, having been taken from her mother and raised in the life that Beau finds her in. The chance encounter leads Beau on a mission ti help these women and to make some changes in his life. When Sasha leaves with Beau the only thing she hopes is he won't hurt her and ends up getting so much more. Beau and Sasha are absolutely perfect for each other and I can't say enough how much I loved this book. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I loved everything about this book from the great font used - so stylish and classy and the fabulous cover to the sage words of wisdom as well as light humour with the memes at chapter beginnings. These really set the atmosphere for the chapters. As well, Beau's humour lightens things to balance it all out because there certainly are some dark areas.

Beau, cousin to Tate and Viktor, is continuing to pursue the scoundrels who abducted Niko's mother and sisters. Enter Sasha, a petite, malnourished little thing who he is entranced by from their first meeting.

In typical Sapphire Knight style, this is an intricate story of betrayal and love, of evil and good. Wonderful character and setting descriptions enable readers to become absorbed in the storyline.

It's a fast paced story and easy to read. As a spin off from this author's other books, it brings out more characters that I hope will get to have their stories told too. I thoroughly recommend this to everyone.

I was lucky to get an advance copy of Undercover Intentions. I loved the main character, Beau. He is from a mafia family but is in law enforcement. When he comes across a sex trackking operation he questions his profession. He doesn't just want to arrest the people involved, he wants to kill every one of them. Beau wants to free all of the woman but especially one, Sasha. The tiny blond is all he can think of until she is free and all threats to her are gone.
Sasha has basically been a prisoner ever since she was kidnapped as a child. She wants Beau to be her protector but Beau wants her to find her own strength.
It was an interesting book and I really enjoyed it. So much so that I will go back and read some of the other books inspired by the other characters in this book, Beau's family members. Great job, Sapphire!!

I absolutely love Sapphire Knight and her writing. I have read all of her books and loved every single one of them. This is a standalone book that has great character chemistry and a great storyline. But i have to be honest when writing this review. It was a great book. But there were some parts of the book where I lost interest in what I was reading because it was a little overwhelming with information. I absolutely love Beau and how he fights to rescue these girls that are being kept until sold.I absolutely love the chemistry that instantly happens between Sasha and Beau. Overall Sapphire wrote an amazing book except for the same parts of the book where I was lost with the details. I would recommend reading this book as it is well written and has a great storyline with great characters.

I love my Mafiya stories. I'm so incredibly picky about them.

Sapphire Knight does an amazing job telling the story of Beau and Sasha.

Beau is a cop, but has family ties to the Mafiya. He's torn with what he wants to do. Between his head, his heart, his family loyalty, and doing what's right.

When Sasha enters his world - Its almost as though everything shifted for him.

She's a survivor of sex trade - her dark and tortured past something that Beau helps her move past.

My goodness, these characters and this entire story brings on so many emotions. It's gripping and captivating, a definite page turner. While it is a standalone, it probably would be better if you read the Russkaya Mafiya stories first so that you have a bit more background info on some of the characters.

Another book I could not put down! This book can be read as a standalone but if you have read Sapphire others books it is great to see the rest of the Russians. Beau is a Alpha who is at a crossroads with his career. Does he stay as a cop or join the family business. We get to see him struggle with his choice and in the end make peace with his choice. Seeing Sasha grow from a broken dove to a strong women is one of the best parts of the book. The relationship between Beau and Sasha is sweet and action packed. To see their love grow through struggles keeps you turning each page! This book as romance, suspense, family and a dash of Mafia! Sapphire hints at two other stories in the book and I hope we get to see those couples journeys!

Beau is law enforcement, but also a member of a mafia family. He has been quietly trying to find a particular woman who was trafficked, but has had no luck in five years of searching. He comes upon Sasha and can’t leave her behind so her buys her. A lot of their early interactions are sad as she has no idea how to function. They definitely go places most people would think of appropriate in that situation. She is extremely possessive of him. She makes really bad moves because she doesn’t get it. He does a good job of handling her overall. His father shows some humanity with her. I like the family in general. The epilogue was beautiful. I really liked the story.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
