In a poignant post alongside a picture of the 16-year-old, Kate, 36, sent good wishes to his family and added: “Praying for some good news for them.

“My feeling as a parent is at this time all we really want is for our children to be safe and know that we love them.”

Liam, from Aberdeen, was last seen boarding a bus in the city last month and it’s thought he got off in Crathes, Aberdeenshire.

But despite huge police searches and appeals no trace of Liam or his belongings have been found.

Cops, including specialist teams, have had to deal with harsh terrain and poor weather but have been out every day except Christmas Day.

Kate, of Aberdeen, lost schoolboy Bailey, also 16, in 2015 when he was knifed to death in a row over biscuits.

Fellow pupil Daniel Stroud was locked up for nine years for stabbing his victim in the heart in a corridor at the city’s Cults Academy.
