Former Rice place kicker Chris Boswell is nearly automatic when it comes to making extra points for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Had the Pittsburgh Penguins, who scored six goals Thursday night, needed Boswell to kick one on Thursday night he would not have been there to do it.
Not because he did not attend the game, which Pittsburgh won to take a 3-2 lead in the Stanley Cup Finals. Boswell got kicked out of the arena for banging on the glass.

Boswell, 26, has been the Steelers' kicker for the last two seasons. He has made 62 out of 63 extra point attempts and 50 out of 57 field goal attempts.
After setting records at Rice, Boswell signed with the Texans, got cut and re-signed to the practice squad all in 2014. He also spent a year in and out of the Giants' roster before finally being waived in September 2015.
Boswell signed with the Steelers one month after that and has not let go of the starting job.
