Exceed & Excel Filly looks one out the box!

Thursdays Randwick trials saw some of the Autumns big players out in force, and while most eyes were on Performer to see if he could get his Slipper campaign back on track following his wayward run in the Todman stakes, one of our paddock graduates announced themselves as an Autumn 2 year old contender.
Invictus Salute (Exceed & Excel X Acquired) was having her second trial, following a hard held second back on the 27th of February behind Californiasurprise.

Sitting the widest runner throughout Thursdays trial, Invictus Salute worked solidly down the outside for a length win over the well credentialed Enbihaar, winner of the Blue Diamond fillies Prelude and subsequent runner up in the Group 1 Blue Diamond and now on a Golden Slipper program.

Passed in at the 2017 Magic Millions for $525,000, the filly was retained by her breeders Geoff & Mary Grimish who have raced plenty of champions in the past, including Red Tracer and of course Counterattak who commenced his stud duties last season here at Kitchwin.

Trained by Mark Newnham whose winning strike rate is up with the best in Sydney at the moment at 17.2%, Invictus Salute holds a nomination for the Golden Slipper should she progress to that this preparation.

Two weeks weaning in two minutes: They say the start to any horse is the most important aspect of their life. Check out how Louis starts our weanlings handling over a two week period, giving them every chance to deal with the stresses of life down the track!
Tip of the week: Gold Coast R3 N10- Char Char $6- Deserves the step up to Saturday grade off the back of two good wins and a second at the Sunshine Coast.
Post of the week: Great to have Bred To Win previewing our Easter draft, tough to pick just six to video out of our 23. Keep an eye out in two weeks for it going to air, we'll remind you closer!
