4 Champagne stars.

Cat & Seth's story. This is a continuation from where Joss and Paul's story finished in Tequila & Lace, the 2nd book in the series also following Angeles & Whiskey.

Champagne & handcuffs begins with Bryce the king pimp who is Joss's brother as we discovered in the last book and now in custody. The story then launches into Seths and Cats story who were best friends with Joss growing up.

A childhood love that grew to more but through a misunderstanding fell apart.

Now years later they are both brought together for Joss's wedding and Seth is helping Joss with her case to take down the head of the sex trafficking business along with her brother Bryce who is helping for a plea bargain.

A childhood to adulthood romance, a good story that also rounds up book two perfectly.

With Paul and Joss already having plans to get married in the other book I wasn't sure how it would go other than the case to work on. The author linked the two books perfectly from one romance to another but continuing the sex trafficking and prostitution case plot.

Champagne & handcuffs could be read as a standalone, Joss does go over her story with Cat who hasn't seen her in years so picking this book up you wouldn't feel like you don't know what happened before but would possibly be confused as to why Bryce is at the beginning in just one chapter.

Told in each persons pov mainly Cat and Seths.

Leads to hea, contains action, hotness and great characters. Theres more than enough to keep you turning the pages. Great series with more to come.

Didn't finish this one...

Friends to lovers Trope. Usually not what I'd pick up as it normally involves an experienced older guy who can f# around until the one he really loves is old enough but ofc still a virgin. Yada, yada. Glad this isn't the case here. *Insert sarcasm here.
Cause it goes without saying that he is experienced and she a virgin and that he doesn't have the FREAKING decency to ask her to be in a relationship with her before deflowering her...
Plus, guess it also goes without saying that this Idiot can screw around during the years of their separation while the heroine endures horrible dates that lead nowhere. Really?? Really????

And that wasn't even the main problem I have with this book + the reason I'm not sure whether I'll finish it is the fact that I don't get why it took them FREAKING eleven years to get back together. An awful lot of miscommunication must have taken place... Or none at all? To me it seems as if Seth just hadn't fought for the supposed love of his life.

So I managed to read on after realizing that they were apart for ELEVEN YEARS!! But then I Put a stop to it when I got to know that Seth really never fought for the love of his life. Sure, he called her and texted her but not once did he see her in Person (and at that point of time he would have been capable to do so!!)
Therefore, I can't help but see the 'hero' as a bastard.

The plot itself was promising, I would have even loved to see more of Cat and her pretend Boyfriend (you go, gurl) but all in all, I can't get over the infuriating Seth.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

ARC received for an honest review

Champagne and Handcuffs is the 3rd book in the Saddles and Racks series, and continues on from where Joss and Paul's story ended in Tequila and Lace.

And it quickly became my favourite in the series.

Seth and Cat's story is full of love and hope through the years. I adored them together as teens, however the more i got of their story the more I had to know.

This book shows some of the seedier side of the bright light city. It delves in to darker topics that happen every day but we just don't hear about.

Each and every page, I needed to know. I needed to know what was happening. I needed to know that our lovelies were OK. I needed more.

I loved seeing more of the characters from the first 2 books, seeing where they were at.

I have been reading Ms Knight's books since she first published, and as a reader is it wonderful to see the growth and changes in her writing over the years as she refines her craft.

I can't wait to see what she brings us next.

Another amazing addition to the Saddles & Racks Series. This is Seth and Cat's Story. A Second Chance Friend's to Lover's Romance.

From Childhood Sweethearts to a Second Chance as Adults, Seth and Cat's story is told beautifully by Kimberly. It's a bumpy Road for these two filled with friendship, heartbreak, and whole lot of love. Filled with plenty of action and hotness that made it impossible for me to put down.

Kimberly is one of my go to authors, I don't need to know what her books are about I just read them no matter what.

Seth and Cat's Story was just beautiful, These two have been through a lot together, it was a journey of love, pain, heartbreak and an unbelievable dramatic event to top it off. I felt everything these characters were going through and that's down to the sheer brilliance of Kimberly's writing. This Series is a must read, and I would recommend it in abundance.

5⭐️!!!!
Having read Kimberly's previous books I was so excited for the third installment Saddles & Racks. Let me tell you, she did not disappoint!! The back story's of Joss, Seth and Cat were written extremely well. Kimberly really gave you sight into their pasts which in turn lets you fully understand the present.
This story has a little bit of everything. Second chance romance, extremely hot sex, crazy dangerous situations and emotional attachment for us readers. I highly recommend this book!! Though you don't need to read the first two books in this stand-alone series, it does help with understanding the characters as they make appearances in all the books.

Champagne & Handcuffs is book 3 in the Saddles & Racks series...…..and what a story it was! It was packed full of drama, suspense, action, angst, emotion - Seth & Cat's story definitely had me hooked! It had some darker moments that I wasn't quite expecting, but things luckily didn't go as far as they could have. Definitely an enjoyable friends to lovers / second chance romance that kept me on the edge of my seat.

And while I don't think you have to read books 1 and 2 before this one, I would highly recommend it. I had read them a few years ago, and I was slightly lost at the beginning until some things were explained that jogged my memory.

Cat and Seth fell in love when they were kids. Then he broke her heart and although she's moved away and on, she's still looking for the one. He moved on too, following his dream of joining the force.

Years pass, they managed to avoid each other, until their best friend is getting married, and they are both expected to attend. Sparks fly and the fun begins!

Great story of young love, heartache and love reignited. Emotional rollercoaster for the characters - and the reader!

This is the first series of books I have read of Kimberley Knights. At first I thought they would be the typical nice with a bit of naughty on the side, but quickly realised they had more to them. Joss brings Seth in to help take down a trafficking ring. He and Cat have been her best friends all her life. When Cat and Seth were younger they slept together, then she caught Seth with another girl and they haven't seen each other since. Joss is getting married and wants her two best friends there. After a lot of awkward moments the truth is revealed and Cat and Seth secretly decide to try again, but on her way out of town she disappears only to turn up in the middle of Joss's takedown of the man she has been hunting since her seventeenth birthday. Again, a great read. Looking forward to more in the series.

Brings two of my favorite supporting characters together

Cat, a dentist, has known Seth, a D.C. police detective, since she was twelve. Their relationship shifted, withholding the truth will come back to bite them, and when their live reconnect the danger of his job may be the only thing to save them. Kimberly Knight’s Champagne & Handcuffs brings two of my favorite supporting characters together in a thrilling and exciting romantic suspense read. I am looking forward to reading about the rest of the Saddles & Racks stable of escorts.

Sweet, scary, sexy

This was my favorite book in this series. It was full of love, mystery and adventure.
Seth had fallen in love with .catherine when they were young. It blossomed, then hiccuped.
12 years later they reconnected at their best friends wedding.
Seth was working undercover with Joss and unfortunately, Cat got caught up in the sting operation. OMG, edge of your seat moments.
I would definitely recommend this book and series.

Champagne and Handcuffs

I loved this story about Cat and Seth. Friends since they were young, lovers when they were teens, and because of a misunderstanding they were alone for years. This book also covered Joselyn and Paul and her brother and the sex trafficking. It was a sexy read, hot, interesting, and kept my interest. I love the characters and the storylines by this author. It’s a series well worth reading. ❤️❤️

I am sucker for best friends turned to lovers type stories. Although I have read several recently with the same theme (H with 2 girl best friends), with this one I have mixed feelings because I never truly connected with the main characters and/or their romance.

What I liked: Unlike other similar themes, it was refreshing that H was only in love with one of the best friends (no sex or sexual feelings for the other BF) and I loved that Ms Knight took the time to give us a little background history to help us get to know the characters individually.

What I didn't like:
- Even though Cat is described as Seth's BF, I never sensed they were true BF's. More friends of acquaintance then anything because it is mentioned several times that Joss was his confidant his entire life (not Cat). There was a stronger bond between Seth & Joss than he had with Cat also before their reunion. It may not have been sexual feelings he felt towards her but it was love none the less.

- I didn't find this to be a believable love story because even though there was some minimal effort thrown in for the romance department closer to the end, I didn't buy into the fact that neither one of them (especially Seth) were in love with each other. Especially since Seth had been with other women before and after he hooked up with Cat.

- When Seth took Cat's virginity, we were told that he had also been with other virgins (his HS g/f for one), so it didn't seem anything special or important for him.

- There was no build-up towards their "romance". No hot looks, kisses, etc. One minute they are friends watching a movie, then the next they are having sex so we never truly get WHY they are in love with each other. It just seemed out of the blue somehow.

- As for the breakup, he never goes after her! He knew she was deeply hurt when she saw him in a compromising position, yet he is the one who is hurt because she walked away? If Joss had not asked her to the wedding, would he have ever seeked her out? I didn't think so as he himself said he may have "settled" with someone else!

- As for Joss, some best friend she was to go without speaking to Cat for 11 years and then slap her in the face by telling her that she would not be her maid of honor! I thought Cat was more a friend to those two then they were to her!

I picked up this book because of all the great reviews, so while I didn't hate it, I didn't enjoy it either. There was no believability to the romance and the fact H had the strong bond & friendship with the other woman then the h was a big turn off of me.

Champagne & Handcuffs
Saddles & Racks, Book 3
By: Kimberly Knight
Narrated by: Kylie Stewart, Eric Rolon

Kimberly Knight pens another great novel in her “Saddles & Racks” series. I am loving & devouring these books, they are amazing and addictive, I just need to know what is going to happen next with these great characters. This book is Seth and Cat’s story and the current storylines pick up here “Tequilla & Racks” leaves off. Seth is Joss’s friend since childhood, he is a Detective in D.C and Joss brings him to Vegas to assist on the Trafficking case she is working on in Las Vegas. After hearing all the details of the case and the history and connection he is eager to help. Before current times Kimberly Knight takes you back to when Seth and Joss were young, the start of their friendship and when Cat’s friendship began with Joss and then Seth. Cat and Seth shared a special bond when they were younger, they took it to the next step but things did not work out for them. They are brought together again for Paul and Joss’ wedding. Years later they still harbor feelings for each other. I loved these two together, thought they were perfect for each other and I was happy they were going to get a second chance at romance. Back to the case and investigation, all comes to a head. Joss has Paul on the case, Bryce as an informant and something big goes down. There is never a dull moment in this book, plenty of drama, action, angst, twists and some thrilling suspense. Loved how how it all went down, with a win for the good guys. Trafficking is a serious problem, it is a worldwide problem that can happen anywhere whether it be Las Vegas or around the corner from where you live. The author does a great job covering it and with the details. Thank you Kimberly Knight for another terrific story and emotional rollercoaster ride. It was great to see the characters from earlier books again, I am looking forward to what comes next in your “Saddles & Racks” series.

I listened to the Audible edition, Kylie Stewart and Eric Rolon are talented voice artists and amazing narrators. They bring these characters to life giving each their own unique voice and personality. They set the perfect tone for the story, capture the emotions of the characters and the drama of the story which is reflects perfectly in their duet performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another terrific listen🎧

Champagne & Handcuffs is the third book in the Saddles & Racks series. This is a friends to lovers, second chance romance that focuses on the story of Seth and Cat, two of Joselyn’s friends from childhood. This is a continuation of Joselyn's story as well since Seth comes to Vegas to help her undercover with her case.

Seth met Cat through Joselyn while visiting his grandmother every summer. He always viewed Joselyn as a sister and when he finally met her other best friend Cat, he assumed he’d feel the same way about her. Every summer, he hangs out with them and the friendship between the three of them becomes strong.

When Joselyn ends up running away from her mother, she runs to Seth in DC. They don’t know the truth behind her running away, but when Cat turns 18, she finally heads up there to visit her friends. Seth is now 21 and the minute he sees Cat all grown up, he feels an instant attraction to her. I love friends to lovers romances because they have a foundation together that really helps build upon the romance story between them. While she’s visiting, they come together and its HOT!

Cat has to go back home, but decides to surprise him a few weeks later only to see him out on a date with another woman. Instead of letting him explain, she runs. Her heart is broken and so is Seths. Its eleven years before they see each other again and that’s only because Joselyn is marrying Paul and Seth is working undercover to help her finish her case. Cat goes to Vegas but brings her gay friend with her, knowing Seth will be there and afraid he will have someone with him.

When she finally confronts him about what happened, they both realize they made mistakes. Second chance romances are among my favorites too because there is obvious chemistry between them and rebuilding on that is just a beautiful thing. Seth and Cat definitely have a very beautiful thing. Seth is a dirty talking cop that whose words will have you weak in the knees and Cat is a beautifully stubborn heroine that will have you clapping at her wit and charm.

But as with every romance novel, something has to happen to keep you turning the page. All in all, this is a beautiful book filled with angst, steam and romance that has you wanting to know more and make sure both Cat and Seth get the happy ending they deserve.

All in all, this isn’t my favorite of the S&R books but a definite must read in the series.

5 It Was Meant To Be Stars

As with the other books in this series, I fell in love with Seth and Cat; almost as much as they fell in love themselves. As much as these two were kismet, they have a rough road to go down to get to the ultimate satisfaction. Their young love is innocent in a way and sweet and unlike anything Seth had experienced, but he knew he wanted Cat at a young age but sometimes what's meant to be takes more than just wishing for it.

When our H/h end up being in the same place at the same time for Joss's wedding they do their best to ignore the fire that's still burning between them, but the pull is too much. However, Cat needs to give Seth a chance to hopefully crack her heart open to there being a way for them to be an "us" again. I have to give Cat kudos though, she did everything she could think of to keep her heart safe.

There's so much action in this book. If you'll recall from Tequila and Lace there was quite the bomb dropped on Joss and in this book, it all comes full circle because Seth is now working with the team to bring Bryce and his organization down. There's quite a few nail-biting moments in this book too. My heart dropped a few times and I found myself cringing and crying at certain points too. This book is definitely action packed and I loved every single second of it.

There's a couple of nail-biting moments too that I was praying Seth would be where he was needed because let me tell you, things go down in this book that shocked me with my heart beating nearly out of my chest!

I can't really go on too much more because there's only so much I can say without giving spoilers and trust me, you NEED to read this book. It's got everything, action, suspense and mystery and a storyline that has you sitting on the edge of your seat along with an H/h that get a lifetime love but not easily!

Love!!!

At first I was a little confused I didn't read the first two books in the series, but when I caught on i immediately loved this book. It finishes off what happened in book 2 with Joss getting married to Paul. As you know Joss, Seth and Catherine were best friends whom hung out. Seth only met with them over summer break when he was visiting his grandmother. But once he met Cat it was Love at first sight but she was younger too young. So when she finally was 19 they got together and Seth wanted to make a go with it. He was just starting his career in Washington as a cop and he was ready but a misunderstanding with no communication at all caused them to not talk for eleven year.

I'm not going to lie I wish Cat would have just talked to him and let him explain, but she was young and now that she's older maybe she and Seth can talk now and maybe have a second chance with each other. But of course Cat does something stupid again. You need to read the book to find out what. Will Cat give Seth a chance and forget about what happened in the past it may not have been what it seemed.

I liked Seth he was a good guy a cop and he only loved one girl his entire life he was straight forward and held nothing back and I loved how he was best friends with two girls. I thought Cat's character was a little immature at first and she needed to realize people do make mistakes and she really needed to forgive Seth she really got over her hurt after 11 long years. I'm also happy that Joss got her happily ever after with Paul she really and truly deserved it after what she went through.

I gave this book 5 stars and I will be back tracking and reading the first two book in this series.

Champagne & Handcuffs is the third book in the Saddles & Racks series, and yes, can be read as a standalone, but in my opinion, it's better to read the two previous books, as it will enrich the story because all three are intertwined together. Now that I got my bossy mom tone out of the way, I'll get on with it. Seth, Joss, and Cat were childhood best friends, who were extremely close. But as Cat & Seth got older, those friendly feelings turned into stronger ones, and they hooked up when she came for a visit after graduating High School. However, she came back to surprise him a couple of weeks later, to see something that broke her heart, and that one moment in time broke the 3 Amigos up, as Cat went in a different direction. It's years later when Cat gets a call from Joss, inviting her to Joss & Paul's wedding, and of course, Seth is there. Will Cat and Seth be able to clear the air and finally get the ending that they only dreamed about? This book is another masterpiece in this epic series! It started out fast, and never slowed down, so my heart raced cover to cover. Kimberly Knight has a brilliant writing style that I've been addicted to since the first book that I read by her, and it only gets stronger with each new release. The sexy times are HOT FIERY FLAME goodness that lit the sheets up, while the angst level was potent enough to make my eyes leak a time or two. The crazy twists throughout were intense, with the final twist coming out of left field bringing loud f-bombs raining down everywhere. I CANNOT get enough of this series, and I pray that the author keeps them coming, so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Seth takes center stage in the 3rd book of the Saddle & Racks series, even though he is not a paid Escort, rather his is a police officer. Seth is in Las Vegas to assist his life-long friend on a FBI assignment, as this book is the continuation of Joss/Andi's undercover operation. Lucky for him, he is in town and is able to give the Bride (Joss) away to Paul at their wedding. At the wedding, Seth comes face to face with Cat, his first love. As with the past books, the author provides the back stories of the main characters. Cat and Seth certainly don't have as interesting "stories" as the others-Gabe, Autumn, Joss, and Paul. Seth and Cat's split-up over a misunderstanding, which I found to be silly and quite frankly not believable. The author told of their close friendship, not only in this backstory, but also in the 2nd book. There is no way, these two close friends would have just walked away from each other without first having a serious and most likely heated conversation over the incident. The whole thing made no sense to me, and I guess that is why I just didn't connect to this couple. Unfortunately, I was disappointed in their romance. What I wasn't disappointed in, was that Ms. Knight did provide another unexpected "Big Twist", something I come to look forward to in this Series. Also on the plus side, I was happy for the updates on the love story of Gabe and Autumn. Since this book is really the conclusion of book two, there is still plenty of Paul and Joss. Paul is one of my favs! Over-all Rating 3.5

Good things come to those who wait

The Saddles and Racks crew is back. In this romantic suspense we get to learn of Andi (aka Joss) past. Starting web she is little in Florida brings in new blood to the series. Joss' best friends growing up, Seth and Cat are the stars of this book. Note: this does contain FBI taking down a sex trafficking ring and those who live the sex trafficking life. And now a bit about the story...

Joss has grown up in a terrible situation, but luckily she has a nice older neighbor looking out for her. She becomes friends with her grandson, Seth, who flies in once per summer. Then after starting middle school she finds a new best friend in Cat. The first summer they meet they are instantly like the three musketeers. Until Joss turns 17 and the unthinkable happens so she runs away. Finally when Cat graduates, now at 18, she heads to DC where Joss and Seth now live. Things happen finally, now that it isn't illegal, but a misunderstanding threatens it all. Another 10 years pass and the three are reunited and you'll never guess what happens.

Favorite passage: Now we were older, smarter, wiser, and I was willing to accept that maybe our good thing back in the day fell apart so better things could come together now.

Note: I was given a free copy and voluntarily chose to review this book.
