This was cute and I really enjoyed it.
I love Whitney G.s' writing style.
I love her male archetype.
I love second chance romance.
And I LOVE sports romance.
So, this was guaranteed to be a W.I.N. for Val.
That said, this missed the full 4-5 star mark for me because some of the natural flow of the story seemed like it was purposefully stilted in an effort to keep the story going a little longer, either for page length or in order to fit in all those blasted flashbacks.
I felt like their whole making up could have happened in one meeting and one scene. Also, as I said above: FLASHBACKS.
Boo.
But whatevs.
Grayson was absolutely swoon worthy. Me likey.
And Charlotte - who of course fit the "playing hard to get/challenge" mold that seems to be the typical female archetype in sports romance to a T - was okay.
For real though, it's like this is the only version of female who can apparently land an romance athlete for REAL, no? LOLZ.
Anyway. All in all, a nice way to pass an hour.

the writing of this was absolutely fine and it might have turned out to be a decent romance, but there were just a few too many red flags for me early on. i'll list em here i guess
1. kyle, the manwhore best friend of the hero... i'm sick of this trope anyway but he just wasn't funny at all and i'm sorry but i don't know a single man whose ONLY goal in life is to have sex
2. hero asks one of his friends in the local police department to give him the address of the heroine
3. hero was a little too persistent for my liking in the past timeline
4. hero was falsely accused of rape.. why are we perpetuating the idea that this is something that happens often???
5. professor encourages heroine to go to law school instead of art school because that would be "telling the universe that you want to be homeless and broke for the rest of your life"... i've literally never had a professor say anything that classist to me? i'm sure it happens but the way that the adults act in this book is so strange

Sweet, fun, soft, second chance romance!

➦Guuuurrrr, I really loved this one. A pro football player meets his college sweetheart after 7 years of no contact. They both clearly have feelings for each other but she. hates. him. Reason? Wouldn't you want to know?
➦This book was shorter than I've expected but somehow it just worked. I love that Whitney G. is able to build character development through flashbacks. The story is pretty much split between past and present and I just loooooved reading about those college years when a star college football player falls for his tutor.
➦She's a hot tutor too and she's holding on to her virginity because she just can't seem to find that one guy who's not a pig. lol This player is nothing but persistent, though, so how long until her walls crumble?
➦This wasn't really a sports romance, you won't find much about football play in it. Just fyi. Anywhooo, really recommend this if you enjoy tutor and jock type of romances and second chance at love reads.

Overall Opinion: I love second chance romances! So when I heard Whitney G. was writing one that also involved a college football player?! I was sold. Sadly, it fizzled out and didn't quite meet my expectations. With second chance romances, one of my biggest pet peeves is that we experience the whole book in the past and don't get enough of them reunited. That definitely happened here. It was like "the truth is revealed" "we have sex" "I love you still" "I love you still too" then bam! HEA. Yeah...not feeling all that secure in that ending tbh. I still had some unanswered questions, and I didn't get the warm and cozy feeling that I look for with that epilogue (but hey! She did have one this time! 😉).
Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Charlotte and Grayson's story. They meet when Charlotte is assigned to tutor Grayson. They bump heads at first, but are both instantly attracted. Charlotte is not interested in becoming just another number, and Grayson is tired of the same girls pursuing him. After many Tuesdays, they start to develop stronger feelings and end up dating and falling in love. There is something that separates them, and ~7 years later they meet again at a college reunion. There are some big secrets revealed and some sexy times...and a HFN ending.
POV: This alternated between Charlotte and Grayson's POV.
Overall Pace of Story: Good. I read this pretty quickly, and I thought it flowed well. I never skimmed, but I did feel like the ending was too abrupt. This does jump from past to present.
Instalove: No, they take a while to develop stronger feelings.
H rating: 4.5 stars. Grayson. I really liked him. I appreciated how patient he was, and how he was tenacious in his pursuit of the h.
h rating: 4 stars. Charlotte. I liked her. I liked how she made the H work for her attentions and didn't turn into a fumbling idiot because he was hot.
Sadness level: Low, no tissues needed
Push/Pull: Yes
Heat level: Good. They have some good tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.
Descriptive sex: Yes
Safe sex: Yes
OW/OM drama: Yeah, but I felt like it was pretty mild

Closure: This had a really abrupt ending with what I would call a hfn ending. Others might be fine in calling this a HEA.

Whitney G. is an author whose books I automatically categorize as MUST-READS. She made me a fangirl for life with her Reasonable Doubt series and if you’ve ever had the good fortune of meeting her at a book signing, you know she is a genuinely sweet person who really adores her readers. I know that when I dive into a Whitney G. book, I am going to get a deliciously steamy and fabulous romantic comedy. I don’t think there has been a Hero she has created yet that I haven’t fallen madly in love with and I can safely say after having read ON A TUESDAY, I’ve got yet another book boyfriend to add to my top favorites shelf!
This is a second chance love story between two college sweethearts who somehow end up going their separate ways after graduation only to reunite seven years later. The book is told in alternating POVs and transitions from the past, which is during their senior year of college and then fast forwards to the present which is seven years later. We learn early on that Charlotte and Grayson have not let go of the past and they each believe that they were wronged by the other. It’s clear that major deception is at play here and as the story unfolds I believe most of you will figure out what happened before the big reveal.
Charlotte and Grayson have been going to the University of Pittsburgh for nearly four years but only just met during their senior year as Charlotte ends up being Grayson’s designated tutor for his Women’s Literature classes. While Grayson is almost instantly smitten with his beautiful and intelligent tutor, Charlotte is more than irritated and not at all impressed by Grayson’s extreme good looks or by the fact that he is one of the most talented college football quarterbacks and number one draft pick of the NFL. She knows he’s quite the player and Charlotte isn’t willing to ultimately get her heartbroken by taking a chance on Grayson who will without a doubt dump her once he’s gotten his fill of her. What she doesn’t know and takes entirely too long to realize is that most of her opinions of Grayson are based on rumors and he is quite possibly the ”real deal”. The two meet up every Tuesday in one of Charlotte’s favorite coffee houses for their study sessions and with each passing Tuesday Grayson's charming and flirtatious personality is having an effect on her. I swooned hard over all the endearing romantic gestures Grayson made towards Charlotte.
They finally get on the same page and are soon falling deeply in love. But then after graduation, something happens that tears the couple apart, leaving both Charlotte and Grayson utterly devastated until they meet again at their seven-year college reunion.
Old feelings once buried come back to the surface even stronger than before, and with a little bit of soul searching it’s apparent that the love they once had never left their hearts. Will they be able to work things out or is what they had broken and irreparable?
I really enjoyed Grayson and Charlotte’s story but I only wish the book was just a tiny bit longer. I felt the ending was rushed and it was so easy to figure out what caused their breakup early on. Now that being said, I would still recommend this one because I am a sucker for sports romances and ladies you need to meet Grayson Connors!

I don't think I'm God's gift to women. I know that for a fact."
A great NA romance is getting harder and harder to find. At least for this picky reader. But when I pick up a book by Whitney G. I know I'll have a guaranteed winner on my hands. And I'm never wrong! On A Tuesday was a deliciously sizzling slow burn mixed with enemies to lovers mixed with second chance romance? Which basically had me going
Because that combination is MY CATNIP. CATNIP I tells ya!
On A Tuesday is told in two parts; past and present, with the past taking up well over the first half of the book. And you won't find this girl complaining because that first half was my absolute favorite. The story starts at the seven year college reunion with Gray and Charlotte having been apart for all those years but not knowing what happened. It then takes you right to the past where it all began.
Grayson Connors is everything that Charlotte Taylor knows to stay away from. He's cocky, popular, had a new girl on his arm every day of the week, and takes nothing seriously unless it's his football career. But when Gray sets his eyes on her, he stops at nothing to wear down her defenses. What begins as a reluctant friendship leads to an incredible connection and soon to something so much more. The bickering between these two was absolutely delicious. Charlotte is not afraid to put Gray in his place, and she does it with a perfect amount of sass and sharp wit. But Gray is no stereotypical jock and it's not long before Charlotte begins to see behind his cocksure exterior and reputation, to the sweet man beneath.
Getting both Charlotte and Gray's POV really help in understanding these characters that much more. Though I have to say, it was difficult to watch Charlotte's animosity to Gray in the present and having no idea why. The suspense of what happened between them after they burned so hot and strong in college stretches until the very end. Admittedly, the twist at the end felt a bit formulaic and drama rama to me, but it did bring everything together, so I can't complain too much.
On A Tuesday was a super satisfying second chance romance full of steam and humor and a perfect amount of sass and wit. It was deliciously sexy and I'm thrilled to see that it'll be a series!

What an incredible escape! I loved, LOVED, L.O.V.E.D. it! It's sweet and sexy, a bit angsty but mostly fun and oh so swoony! I literally couldn't put it down and inhaled it in a single sitting.
Both seniors in college, Charlotte Taylor and Grayson Connors needed a few credits to graduate. She had to tutor someone, he needed a tutor. They met at a café on a Tuesday. Even though the attraction was mutual, Charlotte hated him on sight because of everything his achievements represented and made no effort to hide said dislike. Grayson on the other hand, was spellbound by her and the obvious challenge she presented. He made no effort to hide his nefarious sexy intentions.
Slowly, sweetly their relationship grew from tentative friendship to best friends, to lovers who had their future all planed out. He would go on to the NFL and she’d because a lawyer. Except she suddenly vanished from his life without a trace right on the heels of him being drafted into the NHL, until seven years later they see each other at their college reunion. Can they find a way to heal old wounds and rebuild what they once had?
This book is going straight to my “read numerous times” list. Whitney G. skillfully delivers a sweet story of friendship, love and second chances. I quickly devoured the pages of this equal parts angsty and swoony love story as I fell in love with Charlotte and Grayson.
We first meet present day multiple MVP, Super Bowl winner, Grayson as he’s debating whether or not to go to his college reunion. After finding out that his one and only love is going to attend there’s really no choice for him but to go. The story alternates from there between the past where we get to see how they met and fell in love and the present where all those intense and overwhelming feelings that never went away resurface, questions by both parts begin to get answered and seven years of absence are sadly explained.
As the story unfolds we see how much Charlotte fought the attraction between them and just how determined Grayson was to get her. It took him at least a month just to get her phone number, yet he never desisted. They both fell hard and I feel right along with them and it broke my heart that they lost each other for so many years.
However love finds a way to triumph which not only warmed my heart but left me with a very satisfied smile. I loved the banter between Grayson and Charlotte, there are so many quotes I would love to share with you. The friendship between Grayson and Tyler and Charlotte and Narida was fun and touching. I loved that Grayson was cocky and sexy, but his romantic thoughtfulness was absolutely swoon worthy. All in all, this was a delicious romantic escape I thoroughly enjoyed.

This book is going straight to my “read numerous times” list. Whitney G. skillfully delivers a sweet story of friendship, love and second chances. I quickly devoured the pages of this equal parts angsty and swoony love story as I fell in love with Charlotte and Grayson.
We first meet present day multiple MVP, Super Bowl winner, Grayson as he’s debating whether or not to go to his college reunion. After finding out that his one and only love is going to attend there’s really no choice for him but to go. The story alternates from there between the past where we get to see how they met and fell in love and the present where all those intense and overwhelming feelings that never went away resurface, questions by both parts begin to get answered and seven years of absence are sadly explained.
"I won't be able to wish you well until you realize you belong with me."
As the story unfolds we see how much Charlotte fought the attraction between them and just how determined Grayson was to get her. It took him at least a month just to get her phone number, yet he never desisted. They both fell hard and I feel right along with them and it broke my heart that they lost each other for so many years.
However love finds a way to triumph which not only warmed my heart but left me with a very satisfied smile. I loved the banter between Grayson and Charlotte, there are so many quotes I would love to share with you. The friendship between Grayson and Tyler and Charlotte and Narida was fun and touching. I loved that Grayson was cocky and sexy, but his romantic thoughtfulness was absolutely swoon worthy. All in all, this was a delicious romantic escape I thoroughly enjoyed.
On a Tuesday is a standalone, full length second chance contemporary romance by Whitney G. It was inspired by Adele’s “When We Were Young”. It packs a ton of fun, swoony and sexiness. Told from both points of view with a happy ending.

Color me surprised… I liked this book.
It was much better than the blurb promised; respectively, than my assumption of the storyline.
The hero was a decent guy, and absolutely smitten with the heroine.
He was cocky and some of his lines about himself were *cough cough* too arrogant and *cough cough* childish IMO; but I also thought it was funny and a bit embarrassing for him, plus h’s reaction was priceless! *atta girl*
This book was perfect for such readers as me - aka “victims” of annoying trope in romance, when a woman throws herself at a man, drools over him and transfers to an obedient pet.
You won’t find it here.
This heroine was almost perfect! I enjoyed the hell out of their cat-and-mouse game: she pushed away, he chased her; she said no, he tried again and again. Loved it a lot! The girl was strong and even her being a virgin didn’t spoil it for me *lol*
My main struggle was their separation; not only the reason, but also the fact that he couldn’t find her for years. Sorry, I didn’t buy it. If he searched for her by himself and not through his agent, he would have found her years ago. The whole “villain” thing was a bit overplayed. Common, he was an adult and his agent programmed his mobile for him? Didn’t he try to call the love of his life from another number? Didn’t he want to see detailed reports of PIs, who were assigned to find his girl?

My shallow hypocritical side enjoyed h’s resistance even after 7 years apart. She was so cool!!!

This book left me with a smile on my face. I absolutely loved it. From page one I was sucked into the drama of Grayson and Charlotte and I couldn’t stop reading. On a Tuesday is a beautiful, eloquently written, tender story about love lost and love redeemed.
The alternating POV's were perfect for getting to know both main characters on a more intimate level. Grayson is a star athlete, enjoying a successful career in the football industry. He should be happy, but he isn’t…Because something is missing, Charlotte is missing, his college girlfriend whom he loved madly but broke his heart when she disappeared without saying goodbye.
After a 7-year break, Grayson finds his lost love again at the college reunion. Charlotte had been hurt at learning about his lies in the past and now she can’t let go of her fear and let her guard down.
We go through the indecisiveness of Charlotte. But I don't really blame her. For what she went through, she is allowed to feel that way. Grayson is just too good a guy to have done all the things she accuses him of.
There is nothing that gets to me like a heartwarming second chance romance. It is like my own personal kryptonite.
This book is deeply emotional, cute, funny and very, very romantic!!

On a Tuesday is a bit of a deviation from the latest more light-hearted novellas Whitney G. released. It definitely packs some angst and I have to admit I shed a tear or three. If I had to categorize it I would say that it has way more NA characteristics than second chance contemporary romance. The reason lies in the story-telling technique as the author uses flashbacks to tell Charlotte and Grayson's story and she spends way more time in the past than the present. For some might this technique interrupt the flow, it did, however, work for me.
I loved Charlotte as a student - she was a bit of a chickenshit in regards to relationships when she was in college. Admittedly, she really had bad luck with the dudes and I couldn't blame her for keeping herself at a safe distance from the resident man-ho. She just couldn't trust him. Her lies to keep him away from her, however fabricated they were, soon became obvious to Grayson and he totally had her number and called her out on it - I found this to be really cute and hilarious.
Today's Charlotte was bitter and really irritated me so I wanted to have a really good and valid reason for her to be so. Thankfully her bitterness was totally justified.
Grayson is the usual jock - cocky, a bit arrogant but a decent guy and sweetheart. He fell so hard for Charlotte and was so persistent in his pursuit of her - he proved to her that she was different from all the other girls. His letter to her towards the end was perfection.
Overall I enjoyed Charlotte and Grayson. Was it predictable? Yes. I still loved it. It has Ms. G's trademark wit, banter and smart characters. It also has the emails and letters we have come to love in this author's stories. The ending felt a tiny bit rushed and while there was an epilogue I would have loved a little bit more...of all, however, this being a Whitney G story it was absolutely enjoyable.

SWEET. HEART-WARMING. SEXY. EMOTIONAL
On a Tuesday had everything that makes a good book entertaining and captivating. It was the first book in a series of short and quick standalone novels, inspired by Adele songs. A second chance novel inspired by "When We Were Young".
And if you've ever read a book by Whitney G you know how her signature style sucks you in and keep you glued to the pages.
This novel had everything I liked. Tutor/jock trope. New adult/college. Whitney G. This combination was hard to beat. On top of that, it had a clever plot, and a cocky jock that had a heart of gold.
I love the author's writing style, but especially when she includes correspondence in her books, which she did.:D Her emails made me crack up. She has a real talent for the snappy, witty comebacks, and a way with words.
Grayson was one fantastic book boyfriend. Truly awesome!!! He met Charlotte and was immediately drawn to her and fascinated by her cool demeanor. It helped that she was forced to spent time with him during their study hours, otherwise Grayson might have talked to a wall. But with time, he slowly cracked her stern outer shell.
Charlotte was weary, and that barely describes her attitude towards him. She had Grayson pecked from the very beginning and there was NO way she would be another notch on his bedpost. So, she gave him the cold shoulder, unfortunately she was far from prepared for a guy like Grayson Connors. He was as persisted as he was cocky. And Charlotte really intrigued him.
I loved this college love story. Charlotte and Grayson matched very well, with palpable and genuine feelings between them.
On a Tuesday was a solid performance by Whitney G. Sweet and light hearted, it was the perfect read to relax after work. And I can't wait to read book 2 in this series, I wonder if it will feature Kyle, Grayson's best friend.

I absolutely love Whitney G. and I’m happy to be catching up on some of her back list. On a Tuesday is a second chance sports romance with a hero and heroine I loved.
They were complete opposites in college- Grayson was the popular football player, and Charlotte was the smart law student. I loved the flashbacks with their college times. The now times, not so much. The conflict was really predictable and unnecessary, but aside from that it was a good, easy read.
I listened to the audiobook, and though Erin Mallon is my favorite female narrator, the male narrator left a lot to be desired IMO.
We met on a Tuesday.
Became best friends, then lovers, on a Tuesday.

What a way to start out a new series! This author never seems to disappoint when it comes to giving us these sweet and funny characters that we love so much and “On a Tuesday”was no different.
Told in between past and present, this story took us on heartfelt journey of two people who were trying to navigate “Adulthood, “falling in love, when they least expected it, and breaking each other’s heart in the process without ever meaning too.
Imagine thinking that you’re well on your way to graduate from one of the best Colleges and then comes the shocker that you’re six credits short. That was the unfortunate reality for Charlotte so in order for her to graduate, she’s agreed to become a tutor. Not a problem right? Wrong. When the person you’re supposed to Tudor is the campus most talked about, hottest bachelor, your life just got a whole lot complicated.
Grayson Conners is the big man on campus. He’s a great football player, loyal friend, and it doesn’t hurt that he’s hot as hell or as he like to say he’s God’s gift to women. When he learns that he needs a Tudor to help him with a few of his courses, he quickly takes the much needed measure in making sure everything goes smoothly. But when he sees his Tudor for the first time, all rational thoughts evaporates and the only thing that Grayson wants, is to have Charlotte. But when the object of your affection doesn’t care if you’re dead or alive and wants nothing to do with you, getting her is going to be the biggest play of his life.

I have to say that I really enjoyed this one and I loved the past and present! They blended so perfectly with everything that I just wanted to stay in that moment for a little while longer. Charlotte and Grayson’s connection was electric and I loved the banter between them. Grayson was one of those characters that you immediately fell in love with from the very first sentence. Did he do stupid things at times? Of course! I wished that it wasn’t so glossed over and that he would’ve done things differently, but that’s just me. Aside from that, this was the perfect quick read that I was looking for.
If you’re looking for a sweet quick second chance romance, then you should give this one a try.

4 'I am THAT good' Stars!

I know what I will get every time I read anything by Whitney G.: a sexy asshole hero, a strong heroine, some drama and LOTS of heat. I’ve been waiting for this novel for a while because, even though I love me some short stories (like her latest releases), I always love more enjoying a long read. And Whitney just delivered another good one!
On a Tuesday seems will be the first installment in a new series called One Week which will be based on some of Adele’s songs. This one is a second-chance romance between two people who fell in love in college but separated suddenly and now, seven years later, they reunite. And Grayson, our hero, will not stop until he finds out what really happened between him and Charlotte (and until he gets her back).

Second chances is one of my favorite themes in romance writing and Whitney is also one of my favorite authors so.. of course, those two things together worked perfectly. How adorable is that Grayson and Charlotte started their love story on a Tuesday and after that all Tuesdays became special to them! Well, they also reunite on a Tuesday and everything feels the same for both of them: they still love each other passionately.
“We both know I’m not going to stop pursuing you, so even if I leave today, I’ll be right back here tomorrow.”
He continued owning my body like no other man could, bringing me to back to back orgasms— making me accept that he would always be the best sex I’d ever had.
I love stories that mix past and present and On a Tuesday was no exception. The glances to the past were hilarious, heartbreaking and also oh-so-sexy! These two definitely do not lack on the chemistry. However, I do have to say I would have loved to see more of their story in the present. I felt like the end was a bit rushed but still it was so beautiful to see them so happy!
“We’ve lost seven years of each other,” he said, looking right into my eyes. “Is it too late for a second chance?”
Therefore, my rating for On a Tuesday is 4 STARS because it looks like a great beginning to Whitney’s new series. I love second chance romances and to see this couple falling in love all over again was so up my alley! I can’t wait to see what is next because I am surely reading it. Definitely recommend this novel, especially if you are a Whitney fan like me!

When I first started I was actually really intrigued by Grayson chasing after Charlotte and it was going well for me. But when the story started to skip into the present time it just lost it for me. There wasn't enough of that time featured for me to feel the connection between these characters and since it cut off the past story I stopped feeling a connection between them there too.

Actual Ratings = 3.75 stars
I simply have stated that I do not like this genre anymore. Honestly, most of the notes I have made on my kindle is consisting of "what the actual hell"s and "you've got to be kidding me"s. The fact that type of men that heroines in New Adult books meet are mostly conceited douchebags are beyond my ability to understand. I have met my fair of douchebags but I have got to admit that all the boys in my closest circle knows their fair share of respecting women. I can admit that almost 75% boys that I have met do know how to treat a woman right. It is either that my social circle is small or that this is simply the case of authors trying their best to make their books stand out. If it is the latter, I am sad to say that all of the New Adult books are falling into a simple cookie cutter type books.
For all that I have said above, I have still to admit that this book brought alot of memories of university back and unfortunately I had a good dose of nostalgia hit me and sudden ache in my heart to literally travel back in time to the two years before I graduated (yes it has only been two years but God if I don't miss it). Whitney G. has a way in which you can say "are these actually the adults in the world" to "awwwwww this makes my heart go pitter-patter". Not a feat that everyone can achieve. Thus I will be giving Ms Whitney some extra points, despite being a typical New Adult College romance. It did have its sweet moments.
Also while writing this, I am thanking all seven Gods that I have yet to interact with complete assholes that Charlotte had to go on dates with.

Whitney G. has a way in which you can say "are these actually the adults in the world" to "awwwwww this makes my heart go pitter-patter". Not a feat that everyone can achieve. Thus I will be giving Ms Whitney some extra points, despite being a typical New Adult College romance. It did have its sweet moments.
Also while writing this, I am thanking all seven Gods that I have yet to interact with complete assholes that Charlotte had to go on dates with.

Where’s the comeuppance?! Second chance romance is a HARD sell for me, and when the comeuppance isn’t good, it leaves me unsatisfied. Sigh. I love Whitney G’s books. Her books make me laugh, cry (sometimes), swoon, and her writing style is one I love- the banter between her MCs are top notch, and I looove hot c0ck¥ and BDE her H’s have. I didn’t love how fast the ending wrapped up, considering I was still fuming 😤 by the end 🤬.
7 years have passed and Grayson’s (22-29) not wanting to go to his college reunion. When his agent tells him Charlotte will be there, he relents and even agrees to make a speech. He NEEDS to see her. He’s been searching for her high and low, and he’s going to take this opportunity to get some answers.
Charlotte (22-29) wants to make a quick appearance at the reunion and leave. Of course, life doesn’t go her way, and she’s met with a very persistent Grayson. She should know- 7 years before his persistence paid off.
This book alternates between the past and present (mostly the past).
Grayson’s been getting straight As but now as a senior in college, he needs to take some English lit classes to graduate. Charlotte gets assigned to tutor Grayson. Even though she doesn’t want to, she’s forced to or else she won’t graduate. She tries to limit and maintain their relationship professional, but Grayson has finally noticed her, and he wants her 👀
What I liked-possible spoilers
—the banter. Classic WG writing. Charlotte has great comebacks and doesn’t let Grayson get under her skin… or her lol. Grayson’s quick to try to maneuver the conversation to become less professional. Their conversations in person and in emails are hilarious and totally made me smile 🙃
—Grayson’s persistence. This man wants Charlotte and is respectful of her boundaries. So he’s smart and becomes her friend first. FRIENDS marathons, late night conversations, the works. I loved seeing their progression from detached to friends/almost best friends to lovers 🥰
—Grayson’s swooniness. Sigh 🥹. Not only does he make sure to show Charlotte what she means to him, but he ensures she knows she’s IT for him. She’s special. She’s not like anyone else
—groupies who🤬? I love LOOOOOVE that Grayson only had eyes for Charlotte🥰. He USED to be a manhoooar, but he learned from his past mistakes and he’s NOT about that life. Doesn’t mean he isn’t cocky 💁🏻♀️
—Charlotte not giving in (in the past). She stuck to her guns for as long as she could before giving in to Grayson (too bad the present Charlotte wasn’t like this 😐)
—the tension🔥. There’s not much, but we get some. Gawd. The present tension was just excruciating delicious (because we know how much they want each other). He just pushes himself into her life again (figurative and literally). I wish we had seen the visceral tension that I tend to love in her books in the past more (since it’s mostly in the past)
—the smexxy times. I liked the present 🔥 one more than the past one (I’ll add why below)
What I didn’t like/wanted more of: SPOILERS
—so… the person responsible for their SEVEN YEAR separation has no consequences? 🤨. Like. This person caused them to separate for SEVEN HORRIBLE years. Lies lies and more lies and what? There are NO consequences. I’m LIVID. L. I. V. I. D. With the way this was handled. 🤬🤬🤬I get it. This reads fast. But the few pages where this was addressed was NOT enough for me. These two were serious. They were each other’s ITS. Each other’s END GAME. And that’s it? So many lines were crossed, laws broken, and lives ruined for it to be swept under the rug. I. Just. Can’t 😤
— although I get that both Charlotte and Grayson understand why they lost so many years out of their lives, I felt like once they’re in the present and all the truths are revealed, it moves so quickly. Even when Charlotte asks for more time, we don’t see it. Sure. It has been SEVEN years, but, at this point, they both needed to really understand what everything that happened entailed
—try harder Grayson 😒. This was your GIRLFRIEND, the LOVE of your life, and you couldn’t, I don’t know, go find her in person when phone calls and emails were not being answered? It’s been weeks, no communication, you don’t even know if she’s alive, and you don’t try harder? 🤔how does this make sense?!?!? YOURE the one that’s going into the NFL, YOURE the one with the busier schedule, come on dude! 🤦🏻♀️
—the live tv kiss with supermodel weeks after they lost communication. WEEKS. Not months. WEEKS 😑meanwhile, Charlotte’s watching it all at the doctor’s office 🤬
—the epilogue needed to be better😫for me. At this point, I was already upset at the nonexistent comeuppance, at least make it so I’m feeling extra squishy about these two being back together. One of the hang ups for Charlotte needing time after seven years is getting adjusted to his fame. WE DONT SEE IT. Or many years into the future to check in on how they’re doing. Sigh.

This isn't angsty. 7 years of separation during which they both aren't celibate because they believe the other left/destroyed the relationship.
I wasn't a total fan of the hero.
1. When he first took her virginity - no foreplay had me going wtf. Obviously it was "amazing" but idk, that bothered me.
2. Weeks after they've lost contact, he's spotted by the cameras kissing another woman. It's a "publicity stunt". However, why would he choose to do that as a public figure if he's waiting for Charlotte to come back to him, knowing she would see THAT. I don't know about you, but seeing my boyfriend kiss another woman wouldn't make me want to crawl back into his arms. I just hate it when "smart" protagonists act silly.
3. Why wasn't he more proactive in his search or the management of his career? Surely the love of your life wouldn't ghost and disappear without reason. She wouldn't just vanish. There must have been a reason. You'd think he would've personally taken that matter into his hands rather than handle it through a secondary figure like his agent and have her deal with a "PI".
4. A personal phone is a personal phone. I don't understand how his agent got her hands on that blocking Charlotte. This is the age of privacy and pins people!
5. Grayson didn't even ruin his agent. She's unprofessional. She cannot be in the industry. He should have sued the f*ck out of her. That would have told me that he really did take what she did personally, rather than simply firing her and letting her go. Seven years to demolish a relationship is a long time.
6. Charlotte moved out from her apartment around three weeks after he stopped responding her. He had time to visit her within then. Surely, he thought somethings wrong - let me go visit my girlfriend. I mean I am going to become an NFL star, I can afford it. Again, be proactive man.
7. As for the heroine. She had a miscarriage in their separation. She felt a lot of resentment across the years, and I personally thought it should have been tough not to transfer that onto him when they 'reacquaint' even if a third party was responsible for their relationship's demise. I felt pissed off on her behalf, so his sweet words wouldn't have cut it. She lost a child and she couldn't get a hold of him. That's a hard pill to swallow. Maybe, if he dropped to his knees in tears and THEN they made up over the past, I would have been happier. I'm honestly a sucker when hero's get emotional. It shows that its hit them hard.
8. Plus she knew who HE dated because obviously as a sports star, it was public knowledge, so, no I wouldn't have been upset if Craig turned up at Charlotte's door and Grayson had to witness the another man declare his love for her. Grayson was pretty cocky so I wouldn't have minded if his ego was taken down a peg or two.
9. I LOVE FRIENDS. Never felt love for a show the way I felt love for Friends. Grayson didn't like Friends. 😑
Anyway, even though this review is really anti because I'm a reader who highlights flaws, it was a decent read for me.

GOD BLESS AUDIOBOOKS FOR ITS EXISTENCE. It’s the best way getting rid of my reading slump. On a Tuesday marks my first Whitney G. novel and I’m instantly drawn to it. It’s a great heartwarming second chance romance told in dual point of views in past and present time. I’m captivated with the story and I was eager to know what really went down between Charlotte and Grayson. After the revelation, I feel bad for both protagonists and no one is at fault in that situation. Glad they rehashed things and make up for their lost time.
It has been forever since I’ve listened to Erin Mallon’s narration. She’s amazing voicing out both female and male characters. A good narration by Joseph Discher but there are times he’s monotonous. In spite of a short book, it didn’t feel rushed. A part of me wants it longer because I want more Grayson and Charlotte.

Charlotte and Grayson met on a Tuesday. Both in their senior years of college, Charlotte is suppose to tutor Grayson, who is a football star. Grayson is not struggling with his grades but he needs help getting some extra credit and from the moment he met Charlotte he was smitten.
They become friends, and then lovers but then something big happened between them that breaks up the relationship, and seven years later they see each other again and the school's reunion.
There's still a great chemistry and love between them, even after all the time that's passed. Will they be able to pick up what they left off or simply get the closure they both need to finally move on with their lives?
I've read many books by this author and this one has been my least favorite. I was a bit bored and unimpressed by the plot but it could also be that I wasn't in the mood for this type of story.

I read and devoured this book in a day. It's a clever mix of NA and contemporary-aged main characters with a shifting timeline. I can be put off by changing timelines but I slipped into past and present so easily because of how it was written. I value a book when time is taken to grow a relationship that isn't rushed and ON A TUESDAY hit that spot, in fact, it was something of a slow burn which is my favourite kind of burn.
Charlotte was a strong young woman who was perfectly resistant to the charms of footballer Grayson. She had no intention of extending the hand of friendship to Grayson outside of the role of tutor and their early relationship was unintentionally amusing. Grayson slowly began to smash my expectations of his behaviour out of the box and I loved how he began to prove his persistence and tenacity. When things went wrong for these two, they really did go wrong and I felt really angry at Grayson. What happened to the extra mile? There was angst and drama in manageable amounts that evoked all my feelings into the story and characters. I loved the unexpected twists.
Whilst I am a fan of Whitney G's novella reads, I really do favour the longer length books. When there is more depth to the story and more character development, Whitney's writing shines in it's best light.

I listened to this on audiobook so that I could finally try out Whitney G. It was just fine. I enjoyed the dual timeline between the past when they fell for each other in college and the future when they reunited at a class reunion. I like the tutor romance trope. The thing that was holding Grayson and Charlotte back from being together in the present, though, is something I really hate in romances, so I think when that was revealed, it really made me annoyed. An honest conversation was all that was needed. The ending just felt like something out of a soap opera and the reasoning why they couldn't communicated at the end of their college days made no sense. I just feel like I've read this kind of story before and it's been done better. There was nothing new in this one.

I finished listening...On a Tuesday 😉
I finished On a Tuesday feeling a 5-star high, but when it came to writing my review I started remembering...stuff. There would be a lot of books with different star ratings if you went solely from my feelings 2 seconds after I finish. By 5 minutes, I've started assessing my emotions as to whether this was a long-running high or just the high of the "Happily Ever After". Half an hour later, I've remembered every furrowed brow, grizzle and grumble...as well as the chuckles, sighs and simmers. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed listening to On a Tuesday but I did grumble and grizzle a wee bit.
I don't mind a time jump to see where the characters have been but I admit to preferring more of the now than the then. If I'm to believe in their love story, I need to see if the connection, in the beginning, is as strong at the end. Unfortunately, an Epilogue just doesn't cut it for me. In On a Tuesday we get a lot of the past and very little of the now. I wanted to see them living as mature adults not just as College students. I need to see that they've grown from their mistakes and their dedication to each other is real and long-lasting.
I don't normally go out of my way to read New Adult but this one snuck past the guard. Because it wasn't all NA, I tolerated it better. There were a few more little things that annoyed me but overall I really enjoyed listening to this story.
I'm becoming a HUGE fan of Erin Mallon. Her narrations are spot on and she always manages to convince me that she is the heroine of the story. Her male narrating voice is not hard to listen to either. Joseph Discher does an OK job but it was such a small portion of the story, that it seems unnecessary to have two narrators.
Whitney G. is quickly becoming a favourite author. I'm loving these short and sweet stories that pack a punch. The characters are original, the storylines captivating and the romance is sexy and sweet. I will definitely be back for more.
I finished On a Tuesday feeling a 5-star high, but when it came to writing my review I started remembering...stuff. There would be a lot of books with different star ratings if you went solely from my feelings 2 seconds after I finish. By 5 minutes, I've started assessing my emotions as to whether this was a long-running high or just the high of the "Happily Ever After". Half an hour later, I've remembered every furrowed brow, grizzle and grumble...as well as the chuckles, sighs and simmers. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed listening to On a Tuesday but I did grumble and grizzle a wee bit.
I don't mind a time jump to see where the characters have been but I admit to preferring more of the now than the then. If I'm to believe in their love story, I need to see if the connection, in the beginning, is as strong at the end. Unfortunately, an Epilogue just doesn't cut it for me. In On a Tuesday we get a lot of the past and very little of the now. I wanted to see them living as mature adults not just as College students. I need to see that they've grown from their mistakes and their dedication to each other is real and long-lasting.
I don't normally go out of my way to read New Adult but this one snuck past the guard. Because it wasn't all NA, I tolerated it better. There were a few more little things that annoyed me but overall I really enjoyed listening to this story.
I'm becoming a HUGE fan of Erin Mallon. Her narrations are spot on and she always manages to convince me that she is the heroine of the story. Her male narrating voice is not hard to listen to either. Joseph Discher does an OK job but it was such a small portion of the story, that it seems unnecessary to have two narrators.
