Helped me out several times with small things and I never felt gouged. The opposite actually, sometimes I felt guilty for wasting his time.

The owner was very nice and knowledgeable. The price is reasonable. I'll go back again. I highly recommended this auto shop.

Nick and Liv are so friendly and professional, oh and most importantly honest.
I called to check if they had any available appointments to check the AC in my dads Tahoe. They didn't have any openings, but they made time. I dropped off the Tahoe around 10am they said they would keep it all day ( I didn't mind since we have more vehicles) they called before 3pm letting me know it was ready for pick up. Not only did they service the AC my dad said it's working better than before.

We met Nick through a recommendation from a neighbor a few years ago and glad we choose At the Shop. We are content to finally have a shop we can count to service our cars, service is reliable, they call you back in a timely manner.

Before I went to Nick, my 1966 Ford Mustang was a death trap. The wheels were horrifically misaligned. Also, the brakes were shoddy and pulled sharply to the left. And lastly, the battery wouldn't stay charged. If I could actually get this thing to start, the car felt as if it were on ice skates. And if I wanted to stop, it'd take an entire football field to do so. Nick made this car drive 100 times more pleasant to drive and 100 times safer. If you have a classic car, like I do, please don't hesitate to take your car to Nick. He is now my go-to guy for automotive repairs.

Prices and turnaround time were also reasonable given the current global situation with covid and whatnot.

This place is great. I've used them for routine work (brakes) where they were quick and competitively priced. I've also needed them for gnarlier work (engine codes on a really old car) and they were helpful, informative, transparent and importantly honest about the options. Definitely recommend.

I needed some work done to my car and a friend recommended At the Shop to me. Sooooo glad I went here. The owner Nick is unbelievable, extremely knowledgeable, friendly, great customer service and professional and honest. Ever go to a repair shop and keep thinking, am I'm gonna get ripped off? This is a gem in San Mateo. Nick is an amazing technician with cars. Before you go to a dealership service site; I highly highly recommend going to "At the Shop".

Nick went above and beyond. I didn't even realize that my car could actually run better than it had in years.
Since I was a new guest, he addressed all of my needs by giving my car a thorough exam.
He then called to let me know what needed to be done, and quoted the cost of my service. Happily I said," yes, let's do it"!
He was very knowledgeable, and thoroughly explained about what could potentially be the next maintenance issue that would need to be addressed at some point.
One of my family members, who also had his car serviced here, mentioned that his car also runs better than when he first purchased it. Wow!!!
We feel as if we've won the lottery of amazing mechanics, and most definitely will be loyal customers for any of our maintenance and car needs.
Nick is also a very nice person and sincerely cares.

Nick is an absolute professional who helped me get my Toyota 4Runner get serviced for a reasonable price (much less than dealership) and was very communicative on when I should expect to get my car back. Family-owned shop!
