About this ebook

A brand new, never before released standalone story in the Compass saga from New York Times and USA Today bestselling authors Jayne Rylon and Mari Carr.

Austin Compton has struggled to live up to the Compass legacy his entire life, afraid of disappointing his overachieving family. After dropping out of college, he convinced his parents to buy a big rig and let him contribute to the Compass Ranch in his own way.

On the open road he discovers a happy medium between the freedom he craves and the obligation that comes along with the Compton name. When he picks up some unexpected cargo in the form of a gorgeous if battered stowaway, he’s in trouble. The same reckless urges that convinced him to abandon his education are telling him to keep Hayden close and safe, maybe even teach her how to love again after the disastrous relationship she’s fleeing.

When troubled times fall on Compass Ranch, Hayden will do anything to repay the kindness Austin and his family showed her. It’s time to support Austin like he’s done for her, if her past doesn’t catch up with her at exactly the wrong moment.

4.5 Stars This was a good one. It's was an emotional one for me. It definitely grabbed meat the heart for what Hayden had endured. She deserved someone in her life like Austin and his family. Hayden is giving a second chance, but her past won't let her go and what is she willing to give up for her future? I really liked Hayden because though she doesn't see it she has so much inner strength.

**Received ARC for a fair and honest review** Heaven on Earth is book 1 in the Compass Boys series. The book was hard to put down and a fast read, felt like it was over too soon. I'd rate this book at 4.5 stars. Austin goes off to college and after 2 years realizes that it's just not for him. When he comes back to the Compass Ranch, he doesn't want to feel like a complete failure and makes a suggestion that not only helps out the ranch, but allows them to profit and he's able to pay back the money for college. When he's out on a run for the ranch, he makes a stop at a rest stop and gets more then he bargained for. Hayden is on the run trying desperately to get away from her abusive ex-boyfriend, with literally just the shirt on her back. She's got no money, wallet, clothes and worst yet is hiding in an animal trailer to get some rest and regroup. But when she wakes up the trucks moving and she didn't plan for that. I really enjoyed the characters, they felt real, they had chemistry, the H was alpha, but not to crazy extremes and though the h had just run away from an abusive relationship she still had fight left in her and was a strong woman. She wasn't ready to throw in the towel and let life just roll all over her. I loved seeing the little bits of previous couples from the other stories/series. Always love seeing how they ended up doing. The only complaint I guess I have is the ending. I wasn't ready for it to end and I felt like it needed a little more, or an epilogue or something. Other then that it was a great book and I can't wait for the next book in the series!! Hope this helps!! Happy Reading!!!

I have enjoyed this series this the beginning and I'm exciting that it is continuing with the boys. I loved thus book and believe tgat you will to. Austin felt he wasn't cut out for college so he dropped out to become a truck driver for the ranch. While making a delivery he finds an unexpected passanger. Hayden has no where to go with no money and no shoes on her feet. She finds herself in an unlikely place. If you are a Jayne Rylon than check out the continuing series. This book is wonderfully written and thought out.

About the author

Jayne Rylon and Mari Carr met at a writing conference in June 2009 and instantly became arch-enemies. Two authors couldn't be more opposite. Mari, when free of her librarian-by-day alter ego, enjoys a drink or two or...more. Jayne, allergic to alcohol, lost huge sections her financial-analyst mind to an epic explosion resulting from Mari gloating about her hatred of math. To top it off, they both had works in progress with similar titles and their heroes shared a name. One of them would have to go.

The battle between them for dominance was a bloody, but short one, when they realized they’d be better off combining their forces for good (or smut). With the ink dry on the peace treaty, they emerged as good friends, who have a remarkable amount in common despite their differences, and their writing partnership has flourished. Except for the time Mari attempted to poison Jayne with a bottle of Patron. Accident or retaliation? You decide.
