This paper studies the conflict causes in Tajik Civil War. Four major causes, which are ethnic, religious, economical and socio-political issues have been discussed in detail. The conflict in this region has occurred since the former Soviet Union divided Central Asia for the purpose of ruling. In this process,the Soviet Union included Tajik territory into Uzbekistan. Since then,the conflict between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan has been deepened. Besides, there have been many internal problems in Tajikistan. Tribes have been in conflict. Moreover, because of the difference of natural condition between North and South Tajikistan, they had severe economical inequality. Furthermore, Tajikistan is surrounded by Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan and this makes this country vulnerable to be affected by other countries - both in religious way and in socio-political way.
