The Tigers are rolling right now on the trail adding their second commit of the day and fourth in three weeks.

You could say things are heating up right now for Auburn recruiting as the Tigers just landed their 2nd commit of the day. Earlier today, 2019 4* WR George Pickens committed to Auburn. Just a few hours later, 3* LB Josh Marsh did the same.

If you don't know who that is, you aren't alone. Before just a few hours ago, I had never heard of Marsh. But apparently he blew away the coaching staff at camp today and landed an offer. Not long after that, the 6'2" 210 lb athlete out of Decatur decided to pull the trigger and commit to the Tigers.

Highlights

Scouting Report

I am not 100% sure where Marsh will play for Auburn at the next level. My best guess is on the edge at either the Buck spot or defense end. He’s a very athletic linebacker who plays the SAM spot for his defense. He’s asked to drop into coverage, rush the passer and stuff the run, all which he appears to do very well. I like his combination of quickness and size.

The Class

Marsh’s commitment makes things really interesting for Auburn’s linebacker and defensive end recruiting. The Tigers are feeling pretty good for a number of highly rated guys, so for Marsh to be allowed to jump on board shows how highly the staff thinks of him after his camp performance. It’s always fun to see an instate kid who is maybe flying under the radar, earn an offer and jump on board when given the chance.

Auburn now has nine commitments and I fully expect that number to grow more this weekend. Auburn’s staff is looking to close strong in the month of July.

War Eagle Josh!
