ATHENS  — Jake Fromm’s NFL stock figures to rise and fall throughout the draft process, depending on the evaluation  event, and depending on who is judging.

In the eyes of ESPN analyst Todd McShay, Fromm is a first-round talent. At this stage, at least.

“There’s a reason talented quarterbacks such as Justin Fields and Jacob Eason kept transferring out of Georgia,” McShay penned in his ESPN-Plus pay site article on Wednesday, rating Fromm the 28th player, fourth among the quarterbacks.

“Though he is the least physically gifted of the top five quarterbacks in the class, Fromm is the type of QB who will always find a way to win and excel with high-end football intelligence.”

There’s still a lot of the 2020 NFL Draft evaluation process yet to play out — most notably the Senior Bowl and the NFL combine — but early indications are three Bulldogs could go on Day One.

Andrew Thomas remains the highest-rated offensive tackle in the nation, but McShay dropped him from No. 10 to No. 11 on his player ratings in the ESPN-Plus pay article.

“Although he will occasionally give up some ground to bull-rushers, he shows initial pop,” McShay penned. “His game is raw, but the athleticism and potential are there.”

Tailback D’Andre Swift, though limited to two carries in the Sugar Bowl, moved up in McShay’s ratings from No. 21 to No. 16.  Swift is McShay’s top-rated running back.

“His game is all about explosion; he’s a one-cut-and-go type who just explodes through the line of scrimmage, “ McShay penned.
