Monthly Bike Rides with the Mayor

With over 100 miles of bikeways, a convenient bike share system with 85 stations, enviable weather and relatively flat terrain, Santa Monica is a great place to ride a bike! Even our own Mayor Ted Winterer is a cyclist and in 2017 he's inviting everyone to join him on monthly community rides.

The rides are on City streets with and without bike lanes. Children should be capable of street riding or in an appropriate child seat or trailer.

No bike? No problem! Just grab a Breeze Bike

Upcoming Events

On Sunday June 24th, join Mayor Ted Winterer and Santa Monica Spoke on a feeder ride from Douglas Park to Main Street's 18th Annual SOULStice Block Party. The ride will leave at 11:30 am from the west side of Douglas Park (near the tennis courts and restrooms), travel down California Ave to the Beach, and ride the beach bike path down to Main Street. Click here to RSVP for the ride; and here for more information about SOULstice.
