Gary has done the practice two days before the competition. But as the weather was not stable during these two days, the gripping was low and the diameter of the tires were too big. As there was a big difference from his expectation, he only has done the basic testing, such as engine, the clutch system and the consumption of oil, etc.

This race started on 5th Aug (Saturday), the gripping has been improved than the previous two practice days. The rear upper arm has been cut partly in order to enhance the gripping level at the rear. And also cut partly of the upper deck in order to increase the level of torque. Meanwhile, he also added one more rod at the head of the car to keep the rigidity of the chassis. The gripping has been increased successively, and reached the highest level at the late afternoon. He then changed to use Mugen Springs in grey color, so the car ran very smoothly. The inside of the body where put the tires has been cut thinner to increase the stability of the car in the bend and adapt to a higher grip.

During thr qualifying at the morning, the car was not stable because the diameter of the tires were too big (F65 / R72), failed to do the fast time. The diameter of the tires have been adjusted before the start of the preliminaries. He got the 1st place sucessfully in the 1st round of the preliminary. As the diameter of the tires were smaller, he has adjusted the 1st and 2nd gear from 59T, 54T to 58T ,53T. The speed has been significantly improved, the engine’s burden was reduced. So he also won at 2nd round of preliminary successfully. The height of the rear inner camba link has been increased, the rear of shock oil has changed from 600 to 800, in order to increase the stability. It was very exciting that he got the 1st place in these 3 rounds of preliminary.

In the final, he changed the tires to F64, R71 at the beginning. And changed to a new set of tires after 25 mins. He did a very good result and finished the race in 45 mins and led the 2nd car by 4 laps.
