Many celebrities, and health-conscious people, have a morning ritual they follow and believe sets the tone for their day. While some people stick to one particular ritual, others keep mixing them up to create more variety and keep themselves interested.

These morning rituals may not just be about weight loss, they can help in keeping you healthy overall or work on other health issues like skin, hair fall, etc. Here are 5 morning-rituals and why you should incorporate them into your routine.

  1. A glass of warm water, right after you wake up: A lot of people do this, and this practice has many health benefits. Right after you wake up, go to the kitchen, get yourself a glass of warm water, and gulp it down. You can do it in sips, while reading the newspaper, or gulp it in 3-4 shots. Warm water helps to boost metabolism and hydrates your body after 8-9 hours of sleep. It can accelerate bowel movement, and help with digestion. Warm water is also known to detoxify the body and begin the day on a good, healthy note. Some people also add lemon, honey, or other condiments to the water, for added health benefits.
  2. Green juice: Another popular beverage that has made to the morning rituals that are considered extremely healthy is the Green Juice. Known to provide fibre, vitamins, and minerals to the body, early in the morning, Green Juice can be a great morning ritual to follow. Green juice can help in problems like indigestion, skin problems, and ensure that your body is nourished.
  3. Oil pulling: A morning ritual a lot of people swear by, is oil pulling. Oil pulling is a practice of taking about 2 tablespoons of oil in your mouth, swirling it around, and spitting it. Oil pulling has many health benefits like better oral health, reducing bad breath, and reducing bacteria in your mouth.
  4. A spoonful of ghee: In times when we are becoming so conscious of our health that we avoid anything and everything that has oil or ghee in it, it is important to not forget our roots. Ghee contains many nutrients and is known to provide a lot of strength to the body.
