As all our Golf members are aware the golf course was closed this past Sunday, 8th March, for the annual Fishing Day Comp. This is one of my favourite days at the club. This is where the Country Club in Centurion gets its true name from. With families, coolers and braais lined up along the fairways around the dam it made for an electric atmosphere. A special mention must go out to my sponsor and the team from Srixon Golf, Darrel Thomson, who won The Best Fisherman of the Day.
With the Club Championship only four days away I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you that will be taking part in the 2020 championship the very best of luck. One of our ambassador members, Darren Fichardt, has got this to say to you all:

Callaway MAVRIK Fitting Day
Johan Kriek benefited from the new Callaway MAVRIK Driver. After being custom-fitted last month at Callaway Demo Day Johan came and tried the driver out. The first time Johan put the driver in his bag he shot his career best score. He now has full confidence in his driver.

During Saturday’s Monthly Medal Marius Weyers managed to hit the perfect shot on the 17th hole. What a way to finish one’s round! This was Marius first hole-in-one. Congratulations to you on this great achievement.
Marius, like a true gentleman stuck to the tradition and rung the bell and bought all the golfers a round of drinks. The celebrations carried on till late that evening.
