It's becoming more and more apparent that Miley Cyrus has grown into quite the mature woman and her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday (August 30) made it even more convincing.

In promotion for her upcoming album, Younger Now, the 24-year-old sat down with DeGeneres, who announced to the crowd that Miley was donating $500,000 to Hurricane Harvey relief on behalf of her Happy Hippie Foundation. At that point, Cyrus got a little emotional and started to talk about the devastating effects of the storm, which has so far killed more than 30 people

"It’ll make me cry, so I can’t really ..." she told the crowd. "I can’t really talk about it. I don't know why it makes me so upset…I couldn't fake it. Just, my grandma sitting here, my mom’s here and I go home to my seven dogs and if I didn’t have that anymore it’d just be really hard. So I'm really happy to help any way that I can. And I hope people understand and can put themselves in those people’s shoes and just know what it feels like to have everything taken away from you."

For information on how you can help those affected by Hurricane Harvey, head over to the official website for the American Red Cross or text the word HARVEY to 90999 to make a $10 donation.

You can also catch Miley and other chart-toppers like Coldplay, The Weeknd and Thirty Seconds to Mars at our 2017 iHeartRadio Music Festival, which goes down September 22 and 23 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
