Community Learning Center Schools Welcome New Management

Community Learning Center Schools announces changes in the leadership teams in the Alameda area.

From Community Learning Center Schools, Inc.: Community Learning Center Schools (CLCS) announces exciting changes in the leadership teams at CLCS, Alameda Community Learning Center (ACLC) and Nea Community Learning Center (Nea).

Annalisa Moore has been appointed Executive Director of CLCS, the charter management organization for ACLC and Nea. CLCS Board Member Kymberly Miller stated, “The Board is pleased to welcome Annalisa in the Executive Director role at Community Learning Center Schools. Her 15+ years of administrative and classroom experience is top notch. In addition, her effective and warm communication style is important in making sure all CLCS constituents are supported in the educational community. Annalisa's experience, skills and credentials are essential to paving a bright future for the CLCS learner and their families and we are thrilled to have her!”

Annalisa has been the Lead Facilitator (Principal) at Nea for the past 3 years and has served on Nea’s leadership team since 2013. Annalisa’s experience also includes classroom and management roles at Alameda Unified School District and The Academy of Alameda. She holds a Master’s of Education degree, a multi-subject teaching credential, and a BA in Liberal Studies with a minor in Youth Services and Administration.

The Lead Facilitator position at Nea upon Annalisa’s advancement has been divided between Jana Chabre and Annahita Rad. Jana has been promoted to Lead Facilitator for Nea’s K-5 Lower Village where she has held positions in both administration as the Assistant Lead Facilitator (K-5) and as a classroom teacher since 2011. Annahita has been the Assistant Lead Facilitator for Nea’s Upper Village grades 6-12 since 2014. She will now take over the role as Lead Facilitator for the Upper Village.

Alameda Community Learning Center is also excited to announce Jeremy Goodreau as the new Lead Facilitator. Jeremy hails from Texas where he graduated from Rice University with a B.A. in Kinesiology and History, and M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston. Jeremy worked at a private boarding school for low-income students near Houston. He had served in many roles, most recently as the Head of Upper School.

David Hoopes is continuing at ACLC in the newly created position of Curriculum and Instruction Lead where he will be managing the schools' instructional supervision efforts, seeking to work with Facilitators (Teachers) towards continuous growth in what they are teaching and how they are teaching it.

In addition, the CLCS Board thanked former Executive Director Patti Wilczek with the following statement; “The Board of Community Learning Center Schools is grateful for 4 years of leadership from Patti Wilczek. Her collaborative management style and dedication to the learners were essential in creating successful school performance.”

CLCS, along with Nea and ACLC are excited about the future and will continue to provide an excellent educational experience to all of the children enrolled in our schools.
