Announcing our 2019 Forever Green: USGBC Central PA Leadership Award Winners:

  1. RE Farm Cafe receiving Green Building of the Year Award

    Presented to: Envinity, Inc. and RE Farm Cafe

    Recognizes a project team who, through the awarded building, has demonstrated exceptional leadership in green building through the design, construction, or operations of the building.


  2. State College Area High School receiving Rise to the Challenge Award

    Presented to: Crabtree, Rohrbaugh & Associates Architects, State College Area School District, ELA Group, and Barry Isett & Associates, Inc.

    Awards project and project team that overcame significant obstacles to provide meaningful and sustainable outcomes for building renovation or operations. Challenges may have included implementing programs for a large-scale complex or a building project that had significant limitations (cost or other) and in the end demonstrated leadership in green building design/operations. Must be an existing building.


  3. 78 Trade Center receiving Exceptional Implementation of Sustainable Technologies Award

    Presented to: RS Mowery + Sons, Trammel Crow Company, Branch Pattern, Flood and Sterling, HB McClure, KSS Architects, LLP, Snyder, Secary & Associates, LLC, and Cheran, Inc.

    Recognizes a project and project team with the successful implementation of an exceptional and innovative technology that improves the sustainable design and/or operations of the building.


  4. Presbyterian Senior Living - Windy Hill II receiving Building Performance Award

    Presented to: Presbyterian Senior Living, RS Mowery + Sons, Rothschild Doyno Collaborative, and Iams Consulting

    Awards an O+M project that demonstrates a significant increase in building performance through the implementation of sustainable design solutions.


  5. Spring Creek Elementary School receiving Green Schools Award

    Presented to: Crabtree, Rohrbaugh & Associates Architects, State College Area School District, ELA Group, and Moore Engineering

    Recognizes a K-12 school that demonstrates sustainable leadership in facility operations and student/community engagement.


  6. Veterans Affairs Clinic at Willow Valley receiving Community Champion Award

    Presented to: Cornerstone Design-Architects, THP Group, Paragon Engineering, Sharpe Engineering, and CCS Building Group

    Recognizes a project that addresses the needs of an underserved community, meeting USGBC’s vision of healthy and sustainable buildings for all.


  7. DCNR receiving Climate Champion Award

    Presented to: DCNR, Pone Electric, Millville Heating Plumbing Solar, Gettysburg Stove and Solar, and Hepler Electrical Contracting.

    Celebrates a project that demonstrates unique design solutions to address the particular concerns of building in the local environment.


  8. High Street Residence Hall at Dickinson College receiving Innovation in Residential Building Award

    Presented to: Steven Winter Associates, Inc., Dickinson College, Deborah Berke & Partners Architects, LLP , Andropogon Associates, Pete Tuckey Mechanical,

    Recognizes a residential or LEED Homes project that demonstrates use of new technologies and strategies to push the envelope of green design and operations, meeting project challenges in innovative ways.


  9. Lehighton Area School District receiving Most Successful Community Engagement Award

    Presented to: EI Associates, Lehighton Area School District, Baker, Ingram & Associate, Gatter & Diehl, Inc., Advanced Foodservice Solutions, and Quandel Construction Group, Inc.

    Celebrates a project team that has demonstrated creative and innovative strategies for connecting either with their internal or external community through a building project.


  10. Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) receiving People's Choice: Sustainable Leader

    Presented to: Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency

    Recognizes a project, team, agency or organization demonstrating exceptional leadership in green building through the design, construction, or operations of a building.
