Officials lift evacuations near Auburn as grass fire continues to burn

Evacuations near the Clipper Gap area were lifted nearly four hours after a grass fire ignited Tuesday afternoon.
Residents in the area near Clipper Gap, Clipper Creek, Boole and Cerro Vista roads were allowed to return home using Clipper Creek Road, the Placer County Sheriff's Office said.
"Thanks to the quick actions of firefighters, the evacuation orders in Clipper Gap have been lifted," the sheriff's office said on Facebook.
The blaze was reported about 2 p.m. Cal Fire said trash and multiple cars have burned.
At least one structure was been destroyed in the fire, according to video from LiveCopter 3.
Evacuations were lifted around 5:50 p.m.
No other details have been released.
