3.5…What Happened to the Zandians… Stars!

Well written and edited “Kept by the Zandian” is the fifth entry in the Zandian Brides series a spin-off of the, stellar, Zandian Masters series. The novel is told from dual perspectives, reads as a standalone and features an HEA ending.

Taisha (a human) has been enslaved by the repulsive Ocreation race since birth. An elderly, human seer and keeper of human history provides Taisha with a glimpse of her destiny, encouraging her to escape the cruel Ocreation masters. Taisha embarks on her quest for freedom by stowing away onboard a Zandian spaceship, captained by a Zandian warrior named Drayk, who is primarily concerned with his burgeoning career and serving the Zandian populace. Although Taisha’s actions prove her loyalty to the Zandians, Drayk petitions the Zandian King (Zander) to remand Taisha into his custody for observation. Drayk is determined to make an unbiased judgement regarding Taisha’s true allegiance (or lack of) toward the Zandian people.

Although the story-line is entertaining, it lacks the highly engaging, captivating and sophisticated style of writing that enchanted readers of the original Zandian Masters series. Frequently, the narrative tends to drag with excessive inner-monologues and machinations. The characterizations appear to lack the dimensional qualities of the original series and the character interactions emerge stilted and contrived. It often felt as if the author(s) were simply relating a story (or telling) rather than demonstrating (or showing) the thoughts, feeling, actions and interactions through the characters themselves.

It is revealed to readers early on and throughout the story-line, Taisha is untouched, signifying the importance of her first consummated sexual encounter. At the 70% mark, instead of portraying the long-awaited consummation, the reader is simply told the event transpired. The trademark incendiary heat present in the original series is also missing, leaving the reader with nothing more than a tepid reading experience. The characteristic Zandian dominance and lure toward human females is absent or completely lackluster, further impeding a true connection between the lead characters. Additionally, although the appearances of King Zander and his human Queen Lamira along with other previous characters is welcomed, the true essence of the original characters is somewhat lost.

As a huge fan of Ms. Rose, I’ve read most of her work including the original Zandian Masters series as well as other collaborative works. Unfortunately, her extraordinary talent does not shine through and “Kept by the Zandian” is simply another average novel within the sci-fi romance genre. Although disappointed with “Kept by the Zandian”, I will not hesitate to read future Renee Rose novels or upcoming collaborations with other authors.

I adored Kept by the Zandian.

Taisha and Drayk were a complicated couple, and their relationship was realistic. Renee Rose and Rebel West have a way of bringing the reader into her book that's natural and easy. I rooted, ached, and sighed with contentment for them.

Renee Rose and Rebel West's books are always a treat!

Not badly written and characters are sympathetic; at times I wasn't sure if the narrative was condoning ableism.

I love the Zandian's and this book is no exception. In Kept by the Zandian we are getting more into the story between two races that have never gotten along. The Ocretions who believe that all humans should be used as slaves and the Zandians who felt the same but who are now mating to their humans and loving them. But if the Ocretions ever found out there would be an all-out war between the two species.

When Taina escapes a Ocretions world and ends up on a Zandian ship she has no idea she is about to start a political nightmare. But not only that she is about to find her mate in the captain of the ship Drayk.

Drayk believes all humans are natural liars. It will be a hard trial for him to start believing Taina and her wild story. Will it be too late for these two before he starts believing his heart and not just his ears and eyes?

I really enjoyed this story and am excited to see where Renee and Rebel bring these stories to next.

I really love the Zandians, I mean, how can you not love big, purple, horny aliens who have sparkly rainbow come? That's pretty cool, if you ask me. And they fiercely love their women and children, and will do anything to protect their families. I mean, that's even better.

I like Taisha and Drayk's story because it shows to me how much the changes the Zandians have been making when it comes to humans are starting to affect the galaxy. Taisha knows that she has to try to get to them because she will be safe if she's with the Zandians. But getting there and away from her Master is the thing. I think that their actions are having ripple effects, and that it's just going to take one little push for those ripples to become waves.

I can't wait for the next book to see what's going to happen.

If you've read any of the books featuring the Zandians, you are sure to enjoy this one! Taisha, is a strong independent woman, who has recently saved herself from a life of slavery. However, as a stoway on a Zandian ship, she's not sure if she has just escaped one life of slavery for another. If she doesn't get granted asylum, will she end up having to go back or will she be even worse off then before. And to make things worse, her future seems to be dependent on Drayk, whom she cannot figure out at all. One minute he seems to want her and then the next he pushes her away for fear of getting too emotional to be a true Zandian. This was a great addition to the series and also a chance to catch up with characters from the earlier books like Lamira and Zander. I look forward to what Renee Rose and Rebel West will come up with next!

Always looking forward with anticipation for the next book in the Zandian Masters series! “Kept by the Zandian” is book 5 in the sub series: Zandian Brides and does NOT disappoint! Renee Rose and Rebel West are talented authors and their books just keep on giving to their readers! This amazing, SciFi series has a main theme, HOT, SEXY, Alpha males, suspense and romance, yet each book is uniquely different, tells its own story and entices the reader from page one! They can be read as a stand alone but it is more enjoyable if, you read the series in order since characters from earlier books are mentioned and are expertly weaved into each story and we care and worry about all of them. I would recommend reading them in order.
Taisha is a human slave who belongs to the Ocretians. Leylah is like a Grandmother to all the female slaves in her barracks and has encouraged Taisha to leave the planet because she feels that it is no longer safe for her despite the punishment if, she fails. She helps her prepare to leave and entrusts her with a mission to complete when she escapes. This is how she finds herself as a stowaway on a Zandian ship, seeking asylum from the formidable Captain Drayk. He is a Zandian Warrior who doesn’t connect with his feelings and believes humans are too emotional, they lie and it’s difficult to trust her. Taisha worries that the Zandians wouldn’t find her acceptable and is apprehensive about her fate. Their attraction to one another is intense, steamy and sexy scenes. But, can Drayk overcome is lack of trust and Taisha her fears? Thus, begins her courageous journey to prove herself worthy, stand up to others and we see her kind heart and self sacrificing nature. Drayk needed to learn to accept his feelings and see them as a strength. The characters are well developed and the chemistry between Taisha and Drayk is electric! The plot is filled with danger, action, is fast paced, HOT, sexy scenes and holds your attention!! Renee Rose and Rebel West are talented authors and we are shown how the characters learn more about themselves, each other, their relationships and that together they grow stronger and can realize a brighter future. The suspense and mystery builds, the surprises keep the readers captivated and we just keeps reading and reading…..Thank you, for an amazing story!!!

I liked the heroine in Kept by the Zandian more than I liked the hero. Taisha is simply a marvelous creation—uncertain yet bold when action is required, deeply spiritual and thoughtful, and empathetic in a truly engaging way. Drayk suffered in comparison, mainly because Taisha is so engaging that you wonder why Drayk continues to resist bonding with her when everyone else around them has gone completely head over heels for her.

Drayk also has an unusual perception of life, in that he believes that if you’re going to be a judge (his professional goal), you have to be as neutral in life as you are supposed to be on the bench. I struggled with this, as empathy and understanding are as vital in the judiciary as they are anyplace else.

So Drayk yo-yos throughout Kept by the Zandian, moving closer to Taisha and then pulling away, over and over again. When he finally committed, I didn’t quite trust it—I expected him to pull back again, as he’d done before. Drayk also makes some poor choices in Kept by the Zandian, and I loved that he was called on it by those around him and by Taisha.

But there’s so much to like in Kept by the Zandian. The worldbuilding expands exponentially in this book. Taisha is the embodiment of a new threat, and her incipient visions are structurally tied to Lamira, the wife of the Zandian leader and a strong seer. I loved how this let Rose and West bring back Lamira and Zander, the primary couple in the very first Zandian book by Rose, to let us see the evolution of their relationship years after the events of their romance. And the threat that Taisha realizes sets up truly interesting possibilities for future books.

But I was particularly excited to see the introduction of a new race that could be a true game changer in the standing struggle between the Zandians and the Ocretions. I don’t want to say more to avoid spoilers (but I was a bit pulled out of the story by how one of the members of this race knew so much about its history considering that alien’s circumstances).

Rebel and West are doing great work in expanding the future possibilities for stories set in the Zandian universe. I can’t wait to see what comes next.

A SWOON-WORTHY romance that will captivate! A certain MUST-READ!
If you have not read any of the ZANDIAN romances, you have REALLY MISSED OUT! Renee Rose and Rebel West have built this remarkable Sci-fi world where purple supermen covet the human females who are their only promise of a future. With the survival of a handful female Zandians, it looked as if the race would go extinct until it was found that human females could mate and deliver Zandian offspring to repopulate their dwindling numbers. Each of the amazing stories in this series has provided hours of swoon-worthy romance, compelling characters and a completely new and different love story! All this and an amazing story of survival await those who dare to open their hearts to a story that will fascinate so completely, they will not want to leave when it ends. A reader needn’t be a fan of Sci-fi to thoroughly enjoy each and every one of the Zandian tales for they are first and foremost awesome romances set in an amazing world, written with a compellingly descriptive and easy to read prose that will captivate and entertain for hours. With all of the emotive feels and STEAMY scenes that romance readers have come to expect, “KEPT BY THE ZANDIAN” uses multi narration to allow readers insight into the thoughts and decisions of the phenomenal characters enmeshed in situations that build trust and relationships quickly. While “KEPT BY THE ZANDIAN” may hold a few spoilers for those who chose to read this title first – which I would highly recommend – there is nothing that the promise of happy ending found in any romance penned by Rose and West includes would not already suggest. However, just how that happy ending is achieved is worth both the time and cost of admission! I voluntarily read an advanced copy of “KEPT BY THE ZANDIAN” and this is my voluntary, and HONEST review. This one is a 5+STAR read! So, for all those who fancy themselves romance readers, then “KEPT BY THE ZANDIAN” should be your next romance purchase. Happy pages! 😉

Touching bases again with the Zandian Brides and the original character….
Taisha has escaped from the Ocreations with the help of Laylah who had advised her that it was written in the stars that she would make her escape from the prison she had been living in since her birth as a slave, she was going to save a child that would at a later date brink two societies together to fight on the same side in overcoming the cruelty of those that kept slaves such as the Ocreations and many other races that had yet to see the light.
After she escapes the planet with a message she is to pass onto the Queen Lamira herself once a female slave that was rescued from an aggro farm, she is to hide herself on a Zandian ship and the seek Asylem, however the secrets she carries will help the Zandians in their future battle against the Ocreations who until now have believed themselves to be somewhat untouchable.
The poison that has been developed from the fruit on the orange tree and the venom of the snake on the planet will take out an Ocreation within three seconds and the symptoms look as though they have had a heart attack.
Captain Drayk was given three rotations of the planet to ensure that she was not hiding anything even though in fact it was more that he did not want to hand her over to another Zandian or group of Zandian warriors so that they might begin a breeding unit together, he already had feelings for her but was trying to ignore his feelings.
However, love will out.
It was wonderful to reach out and touch base with the older characters from the earlier books Zander, Lamira and their children, Bayla and Daneth and their children and they are still looking for her two children taken when she was a slave and all the other forces both human and Zandian fighting together to rebuild their homes and their lives together.
I voluntarily received and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

When Taina escapes from the Ocretions by stowing away on a Zandian ship her adventures are only beginning. Kept by the Zandian by Renee Rose and Rebel West starts off with action and never loses steam. In fact, this book gets steamier as the pages turn. This is the second Zandian romantic science fiction adventure I’ve read, and I already have two more lined up on my Kindle.
Rose and West have created a world and characters that are vibrant. These books are no holds barred romances with the thrills of political intrigue, alien wars, and plenty of spice.
Taina, a dark-skinned beauty, was a slave to the Ocretions. She lives in a barracks with other women, including Leylah, an older woman who makes toxins from the fruit of wall-eck trees and the venom of serpents. When Leyla tells Taina she must escape the planet and request asylum with the Zandians, the old woman sets a series of things in motion.
When Taina is discovered hiding on the Zandian ship by Drayk she is terrified and accidentally stabs him with a syringe. Suspicious of this strange little human who has hidden on his ship and seemingly attacked him with poison, he is uncertain about taking her to Zandia.
In spite of his lack of trust and her fear, the couple are attracted to one another. That attraction is intense and highly sexual. But Drayk must follow Zandian rules and unless he is willing to take the luscious human as his mate, he can’t make love to her. Although he knows about humans, he is unaccustomed to their habits. The one thing he believes strongly is that humans lie, making it impossible for him to trust Taina.
The sex in this book is hot and sensual. If you like heat in your romances, you will love this erotic story. I was rooting for Taina to break through Drayk’s crusty exterior throughout. Every little crack in his armor made me cheer.
If there’s a Zandian out there, I hope he finds me! I’d be happy to rub his horns!

Kept by the Zandian is part of the Zandian Brides and Zandian Masters universe. Taisha has escaped from her Ocretian Master, stowing away in a Zandian ship, begging for asylum, and just wanting to help in any way possible to make life better for those around her. Drayk is one to always follow the rules and must remain impartial, but something about Taisha just calls to him. As they work together, he must decide if she’s safe to stay with the Zandians, but she’s keeping a secret. Will they be able to salvage their relationship and hearts before war breaks out?

Oh my goodness, I was completely enthralled with this story! Taisha and Drayk were determined to do anything for their cause and filled with chemistry so thick I could feel it through the pages. Taisha was an amazing character because she just wanted to help those around her, she had such empathy, had that inner flame that just shined bright. I was fascinated by her mentor and the things that were shared, foreseen, and how everything came to play out. Drayk was an interesting character because he had such strong devotion to his duty and tried so hard to remain neutral, but he just couldn’t help himself when it came to Taisha. He was a little hot and cold with her, as he struggled internally, but was ultimately possessive, protective, and irrational at times, like Alpha males falling in love tend to get! I loved their relationship, I loved their journey, I loved being back in the Zandian universe, I loved seeing old characters again and getting some updates, and clearly, I just really loved this book!

Finally! A new piece of the Zandian Mates story! When I see the teasers for the new Zandian books, I get buzzed with anticipation, so much so that as soon as one is released, I HAVE to get it! This book does not disappoint either! Taisha is special, brave, selfless, loyal and so much more. Her character is so dang likable that you have no choice but to root for her, because everything she does, she does to help someone else. Drayk is seriously full of himself, but he makes the perfect foil for her, because he doesn't have an emotional self until he meets her, then he convinces her to risk her life, repeatedly, denies any emotion for her, and oh yeah, betrays her trust/ Yeah, he's perfectly clueless but increasingly protective, possessive and attached. I loved all the action in this book, that Taisha does all the things she does, like it's just another day at the park, and is still in limbo for 75% of the book. I always enjoy reading books by these authors because I know the story will be exciting, fast-paced, and full of twists that I didn't see coming. I can't wait to read the next one, and the ones after that, dying to know how Bayley's kids fare, well, everything really, I'm just a fan, telling you that you need to get on my level because these books will hook you too!

Taisha had been a slave with the Ocretion for a long time. But her mentor Leylah saw what her future could be. She also has a message for Lamira and a gift. It must only be given to Lamira. Taisha wants to be free and help her sisters but she first has to get to Zandia. Drayk did not expect to find a stowaway on his ship. He especially didn’t expect her to poison him. But that was a misunderstanding. He also didn’t expect to have feelings for Taisha.

I love that we get to read about our original members, Lamira and Zander. Always want to know how they are doing. The fear that Taisha has to deal with along with the abuse breaks my heart. And Drayk and his belief in not needing a mate is just plan foolish. These two have an instant connection and he wants to throw it away. I am glad that other Zandian males find an interest in her. But then having to prove herself time and again is scary. Towards the end I felt heartbroken with all the heart feelings. Things got better and we even got a taste of the future and the possibility of finally finding Bayla’s children.

Another addition to the Zandian Brides series and if you've read any of the Zandian books you're sure to love this one - I love reading these, what's not to love about huge purple aliens with horns that are dominant and love to spank their human mates?!

Taisha is a human seer, enslaved by the Ocreations, an elderly seer has a vision of Taisha escaping that sets of a chain of events that bring her and Drayk together as she stows away on his ship. He's not too sure about her actions, and even though she ends up helping to fight for Zandia and even puts herself in danger for them, Drayk wants to see whether or not Taisha is keeping any more secrets from him and petitions the King to remand her into his custody so that he can make an unbiased judgement on her.

Told from dual POV's there's lots of steam in this one as Drayk tries his best but is battling his emotions, wanting her one minute and pushing her away the next. It's a good enjoyable read that held my imagination, and not to be missed if you're a fan of the Zandian series of books.

This book brings us back to the political intrigue I adored so much about the original Zandian series, and I love that we’re coming back to it. I enjoy a little bit of emotional angst in a story and the push-me/pull-you drama between Taisha and Drayk fit the bill perfectly. Watching Drayk fight himself to remain emotionally detached filled me with evil glee, because I knew he wasn’t going to be able to maintain it. I was a bit frustrated with some things I felt were continuity errors; there were a few details that didn’t match with the previous books. And some of the things that were touted as being Really Important at the beginning of the book fizzled out by the time we got to them. I was disappointed by that. I was also irritated at where this book stops. I felt like there was more to Taisha and Drayk's story to tell before we should say "goodbye" to them. This feels like a turning point in the series and I’m excited to see where the new direction will take us.
I read a borrowed copy of this book.

A Great addition to this series !!

I have read many from this series. I really enjoyed this particular book . It had an energy that I found hard to resist. I also enjoyed peeking into old friend's lives . Especially that uber SEXY Sander and Lamira his wife.
Drayk is a Zandian who aspires to be a judge. He is a Warrior and is happy to assist new Zandia in any way he can .
Taisha is a slave at a farm . Her mentor has the " sight " , and is aware of impending doom , that she shares with Taisha. The were tells Taisha to pretend to drown and sneak in an outgoing spaceship, and seek asylum. But , other then some cryptic message , she leaves Taisha to fend for herself. Especially when it comes to a certain Captain Drayk, who is built is heavenly ,her mouth waters !!
So , how can Taisha complete her mission, and not get distracted by the alluring Captain ??
And how can Drayk not be distracted by his compelling ward ???

The continuation of the Zandian story. I liked Taisha. I admit to being irritated by Drayk waffling back and forth in regard to Taisha.

It was interesting to see in this book that the Zandians were evolving, continuing to work toward rebuilding their planet, and integrating humans into their society.

I have to say that this book did not provide the same feelings as the earlier Zandian Master books. There was no connection between Drayk and Taisha, or a very mild one. It seemed to be lacking the same kind of sexual tension, and chemistry that we have come to expect from the series.

I think I felt the same as Taisha when she finally got to meet Lamira. The Zandian part of the story had some interesting aspects. I will continue to follow the series as they come closer to engaging with the Ocretions. It was just the romance part that felt a little flat in this book.

Definitely a 3.5 star read. I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I really like all the Zandian books. But this one was extra great because you get a Zandian story and you also get more of a glimpse of some of the original characters in the series as well!

I loved Taisha because she didn't let hatred corrupt her and was still all about being a good person. And I loved Drayk as well because he always wanted to do what is best for his people. Even if he let that blind him to other things. They were both so good and deserving of each other.

I love where this series is going. It is always so interesting to see how humans affect Zandians, and change them for the better. I love how Zander, the king, is when it comes to his warriors and them mating with humans. He is such a great character. And I love that you get another glimpse of him and his family, and how they are with each other

In “Kept by the Zandian”, Renee Rose and Rebel West return readers to the original Zandian Masters series and not only do we get two great new characters, we also get to revisit some of our favorite characters to see what they’ve been up to. And really, the story and content feels a lot like returning home. Likes: So many likes in this story. Taisha is such a strong and resilient character and Drayk makes for a great counterpart where together they are better. I loved the scenes with Zander and Lamira, Bayla and Daneth, Mirelle, and I could go on. There’s a lot happening in the story that isn’t about Taisha and Drayk and the authors do a great job of blending everything together. And it’s also seriously hot in all the right ways we’ve come to love in these stories and now I’m impatient for the next one.

Can one person make a difference?

This book is filled with excitement and intrigue. Much information is shown to us. I love the way the humans are bonding with one another and the Zandians, in spite of the things that have happened to each of them
Taisha is a human slave to the Ocretions on another planet. Her mentor sees visions and sends her on a mission to give something to Lamira and hopefully gain her freedom on Zandia.
Drayk is the captain of the ship that Taisha stows away on. He is learning an it trusting her but he begins to have feelings for her. As a judge for the Zandians, he believes that he should not mate with her because humans cause emotions and a judge has to be emotionless in order to make sound judgements.
The Ocretions are getting closer to starting a war with the Zandians but the Zandians may have found their first ally in another species.

Run Little Taisha

Dryk finds a human stow away in his ship. She is almost crushed by some crates on top of her. He questions her and doesn't believe her story. She causes emotions to plague Dryk and he refuses to admit to them. After all, he has his Zandian pride and logic rules his life! Really? After she goes
through mission after mission: goes back where she started for snakes, and then gets blown up in an explosion and then he finally gets the idea! But now it's too late to say he's sorry, or is it? You got to read the book! This is definitely an adult only book because of gorgeous sex. I have read every one of the Zandian books more than once and love each one again and again. I recommend this series and can hardly wait for the next one. Tarrek will be a different kind of love story. Oh, Renee, hurry please.

Yeah this was an ok read. I felt the story was a little too short, a bit rushed and the ending was quite abrupt. I didn’t connect with any of the characters. I also didn’t really feel the connection or love between Drayk and Taisha. It was all just very bland. Also there were a few things that happened that added nothing to the story and were just um pointless I felt?? For example, there was an explosion in one scene where the heroine gives that classic line “everything goes black” GASP ! Oh no ! Is she okay?? What happened ?? Oh god !! Hero is really worried about her. He’s rushing to get to her. And ....... she is completely fine. Everything is great, just a little scratch and he just picks her up and brings her home. Did I miss something?? What was the point of that? The scene was resolved within like 2 pages. Glad I read it and tbh I’ll probably read Zander’s book but that’s it.

This is another fantastic Zandian Mates story. Taisha is a human slave who belongs to an Ocretian. She escapes and stows away on a Zandian ship. There she meets Captain Drayk. This begins her long, courageous journey to prove herself worthy enough to be a Zandian citizen. I was impressed with Taisha not only because of her courage, but also because of her heart and her self sacrificing nature. She was willing to stand up to others and to do what was right. Drayk did not recognize what he wanted until he'd lost it. Drayk had a tough time dealing with emotions but learned that having emotions will give you a better perspective on things. There was tension, sacrifice, steam, friendship and love in this book. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

It was a nice change of pace to get back to the main Zandian story (reclaiming, rebuilding, and keeping their world). The story is told from several POVs. While I liked the check in with the original Zandian Masters, it just felt like this story was phoned in. I didn't feel the connection with the characters or the passion and dominance from the previous books. Drayk was there and had some mention about genes and his job as a judge and while he was attracted to the lovely human, I just did see him acting as previous Zandians did when they found their mates. The new development with the Ocretions should make for some exciting future books.

Overall, it's a good story but probably my least favorite Zandian story.

Five purple stars

Renee and Rebel have built a great sci-fi world of imperfect but gloriously wonderful purple horned aliens and strong resilient and resourceful humans that you can't help but love. I look forward to every book in this series and have loved every one. Each can be read as stand alone books, but because the authors do not repeat previous information (thank the one true Zandian star - no tedious repetition!), to truly get a feel for this world and the wonderful characters, you really should start at the beginning and read them in order. If you love some s*xy time, some dominance/discipline and lots of feels, you can't do better than this series. (Kindle Unlimited subscriber)

Love the characters and the series!

I love the Zandian Brides series! Taisha is a slave on Romon-3 but she has a mission to fulfill. Drayk is on Romon-3 to pick up supplies. He is doing his duty to King Zander and his duty requires him to be impartial and show no emotion. Or so he thinks. But Taisha doesn’t allow him to be unemotional. Taisha just wants to stay on Zandia and be safe and she wants to prove she’s worthy to be on Zandia. It doesn’t go exactly as Drayk plans he sort of makes a mess and almost loses Taisha but luckily they get an HEA and they have a lot of fun getting there! Love this series & I can’t wait to read Tarak’s story. When I met him my first thought was oh no I hope Renee writes one for Tarak!

Another great mating...

Wonderful read! Taisha is seeking asylum but can she be trusted? Drayk is tasked as her "judge" and master during her probation period. He believes she is hiding something. As Taisha does everything she can to prove her worthiness, her asylum is in jeopardy due to a threat from outside forces. What happens? Well, for that information you will need to read this story yourself. The way the authors weaved former characters into the story was great. I especially loved how Zander "knew" what was happening with Drayk and how it would end. After-all, experience does build wisdom.

Like all the other Zandian romances, this book is a great read. Drayk is a rather sweet guy trying unsuccessfully to deny his feelings for human Taisha, the runaway slave who stowed away on his ship. Taisha, who desperately wants to be given asylum on Zandia is trying to accomplish the mission she was given by her mentor and hoping against hope that she and Drayk have a future together. Drayk and Taisha are likable characters and their story is very enjoyable. There are a few sexy steamy scenes, a few spanking scenes. Nothing over the top.

I am voluntarily reviewing an advance reader copy of this book.
