Tributes paid to Big Issue vendor Paul Kelly, 50, ‘stabbed to death in Knightswood’
TRIBUTES have been paid to a Big Issue seller allegedly stabbed to death in Glasgow.
Paul Kelly was found seriously injured in Knightswood on Saturday morning.
Mercy crews raced to Hermitage Avenue after the alarm was raised at around 10am but the 50-year-old died at the scene.
The Big Issue has now led tributes to the popular vendor, known for his calls of "don't be shy, give it a try".

The magazine's editor, Paul McNamee, said: "He was such a sweet man.
"We talked a lot, many times a week just putting the world to rights. He always had plenty to say.
"Paul was both tough and really gentle. He was such a part of The Big Issue, such a part of Glasgow city centre.
"He talked about the good people, the regular customers and friends he had to look after him.
"Everything is a bit darker and quieter now."
Tragic Paul sold The Big Issue in Glasgow city centre and East Kilbride for more than 15 years.
His customers have also spoken of their devastation over his alleged murder.
One said: "This is absolutely horrific and so tragic.
"Paul Kelly made my day whenever I chatted with him and was such a lovely man."
Another added: "Very sad news. I never knew his name but his wee catchphrases always made me smile.

"In fact I've no doubt he made hundreds of people smile every day."
And a third wrote: "No. That's too awful for words.
"I loved getting the magazine from Paul, he was always so sunny and warm."
A 46-year-old man has been charged in connection with Paul's death.
He will appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.
