Large windows spill natural light onto the black and white checkered floors of General Muir’s spacious dining area, which is always jam-packed with hungry Atlantans. And we don’t blame the crowds. This New York-style Jewish deli in Emory Point is near the top of our dining list when we need a brunch spot that will please everyone in our group. They’ve got all the expected standards on the menu like delicious, good-for-the-soul matzoh ball soup and bagels stuffed with so much smoked salmon you’ll question if they charged you for double protein (they didn’t). And make sure their cookie plate is on your table, too. But if a sit down meal is too much of a commitment, their deli offers a handful of easy to-go options that taste just as incredible when pulled from a paper box as they would from ceramic.
