The walls of my club hold many secrets. Depravity. Sin. Justice.
Come in; debauchery can be yours for the cost of a lap dance and a night of pleasure.
And I own every last part of it.
But she’s my weakness, and thankfully she followed me through the insolvent streets of New Orleans, giving me her loyalty and her heart.
My desire for her dominates my every thought, but my broken past could destroy us.
There are people trying to bring me down.
Two malicious men stand in the way of what I want: to own it all.
It’s either Lot 17 or Goldie, my Jett Girl.
I have to make a choice and for once, it won’t be easy.

When I was in high school I occasionally read books but was consumed by other teenage things so I didn't take the time to appreciate a good book on a cloudy day, wrapped up in a blanket on the couch. It wasn't until I received a Kindle for Christmas one year that my world completely flipped upside down. When looking for books I came across the Contemporary Romance genre and was sold and I haven't turned back since.

You can either find my head buried in my Kindle, listening to inspiring heart ripping music or typing away on the computer twisting and turning the lives of my characters while driving my readers crazy with anticipation.

I currently reside in beautiful Colorado Springs where the sun is always shining and there is a trail waiting to be hiked on every corner. I share a lovely and warm home with the love of my life and my five, four-legged children.

God, where do I begin...

Maybe I will just make a list of things to anticipate.

1. Shower scene, Kace, naked....ummm, yes.
2. Spicy new ways of bumping pretties in the Bourbon room.
3. The sassiness does not stop.
4. The Ringleader - AKA, Diego. New character just waiting for a spin off book. Lets just say he has his own club and it's one you can't help but be curious about.
5. Gun shots...and death!!!! No, just kidding, no one dies.
6. Leo, Jett's dad and Rex Titan are back and they want nothing more than to control Lot 17.
7. Jett Colby, sexy southern entrepreneur opens up, shows his sensitive side and does the one thing he sees as his mission now, to protect Goldie, even if it means hurting her.

Being a Jett Girl is going to leave you sweating, laughing and begging for more while dreaming about the one and only, Jett F*cking Colby.

I love this series and I love how the relationship between Lo and Jett is growing, but what I can't deal with right now is the cliffhanger. Nooooooooo! I wanted to cry. I can't wait to read the next book. I can't wait for the happily ever after!

Lo aka Goldie is falling deeper in love with Jett and is busy becoming a full-blown Jett Girl. The thing is though that Jett doesn't do love and he was never supposed to fall in love with Goldie. What makes matter worst is that his best friend Kace is also in love with Goldie, but he knows as long as Jett is around he can never have her and is trying so hard to distance himself from her. In Bourbon Deceit, we read more about Jett's bid to get Lot 17 and develop it into a boys/girls club and how his father is still trying to bribe his way to the top and undermine Jett as he wants the location to build a high-rise. Jett's dad has never had anything to hold over Jett until now, he has realized that his son loves Goldie and now Jett's dad as issued an ultimatum the Lot 17 or Goldie. Who will Jett choose as this Lot means the world to him, can he keep both or in protecting Goldie will he push her away and lose her anyway? Now that the ultimatum has been issued, Goldie is on the open market for mean guys like Rex Titan who stole Jett's ex Natasha and now has been gunning for ownership of Goldie as well. Bourbon Deceit is a low-level BDSM novel and romantic suspense set in the heart of NOLA. I loved reading Bourbon Deceit as it brought back awesome memories of strolling through Jackson Square and down Bourbon street. If you love romance reads and BDSM stories, then check out Book #2 in the Becoming a Jett Girl series by Meghan Quinn today.

Note to self... don't make assumptions that just because a third book hasn't been loaded into Goodreads, that a series will only be a two parter... yup I found out the hard way and now I'm left absolutely gobsmacked!!!! Honestly... WTF happened? I was happily reading, on my merry little way, digesting all the goods, bad and evils that were occurring in "Being a Jett Girl," gearing myself up for a beautiful ending and then BAM... I got the unexpected. I never saw it coming (I swear to god), and now I need the next book... holy cow Meghan Quinn... way to shock a girl.
One minute I'm flying on cloud nine with my pussy flapping in the breeze waving at all the unicorns and kitties in my dreamland and then the next moment, I'm lying low in a gutter full of dragon shit wondering where I went wrong.

So second book in the Bourbon Series started up more or less where "Becoming a Jett Girl" finished and I was dying to know what would happen next between Goldie and Jett. I mean the dynamics of their relationship had definitely shifted somewhat but with two very strong minded people, I knew whatever came next would involve one or both characters making heavy sacrifices.... the question that rang loud in my mind was... would Jett Colby ever let anyone in? I wasn't so sure and the first 20% of this book involved him continuing to behave like an ass, pretty much closed off and treating the woman he supposedly cared about like crap... Jeesh... would he ever redeem himself?
Goldie was way to good for a heartless bastard like me but because of that lack of heart,I didn't think about the repercussions, Instead I just took what I wanted and what i wanted was Goldie.
>

And poor Goldie... I saw a massive shift in her character and although she remained a feisty firecracker, I saw a vulnerable side to her that broke my heart. Her feelings for Jett were consuming her and she would take whatever he had to offer... even if that meant she was left devastated at the end.
I tried to ignore the fact that once again, I was breaking in half, that he was pushing me away, that even though he tried to change the dynamic between us, he still fell back to his old ways of running away.

So as I read on, I wondered whether this would be it for them... him taking and her giving!! Well, let's just say, when the proverbial hit the fan, Jett Colby finally got a wake up call and boy oh boy did I see another side to him. When did he become such a thoughtful, romantic, caring son of a bitch???? Yup, be prepared to see a sensitive side to this man that will render you speechless. Don't get me wrong, he was still very much a dominant but there was absolutely a shift in his behaviour... woo hoo!!! At last!!!

This second book in the series saw a couple of sub plots come to the surface which really helped spice things up a bit. Plot 17 and Jett's father featured heavily and the war that raged between them only seemed to intensify with innocent people getting caught in the crossfire. who would be the next victim?
Call me the devil but fuck with me or fuck with my girls and I would take you out before you could zip your pants back up.
"Being a Jett Girl" was full to the brim of hot, testosterone fuelled men including Kace who continued to steal my heart. I was dying to get inside his head, knowing full well it would be full of hurt and pain but the opportunity never came. What I will say is, after certain revelations came to light, I could have quite easily have slapped Goldie for a few of her thoughtless, heartless, childish comments... gggrrrrr!!!! I was also introduced to the ringmaster of a kink club called "Diego." again, I have a feeling his story is going to be an interesting one.

If you look back to my review of the first book in Jett and Goldie's story, you'll know that I was like a dog on heat after reading it and as my husband put it... I was practically dry humping his leg!!! cheeky bugger. However, although the characters continued to bump uglies... a lot, it was kinda almost expected which meant the anticipation had gone. There was no working myself up in terms of would they/ wouldn't they because it was almost a given that they would. However, Kace in the shower... OMG!!! Now that was freakin' hot!!!! (fans self).
You're a bright spot in the dull life that I've been living, You make me feel like i'm not alone anymore and your laugh, your smile, they're so goddamn infectious that I find myself losing every last wall I've built while I'm around you.

So all in all, another fab addition to this series that is fast becoming a favourite guilty pleasure, plus with the ending I got, I'm now desperate for the next book!!!! Fingers crossed we'll have it soon. I rated "Being a Jett Girl" ❤️❤️❤️.5 hearts

This takes off right where the first book left off and gets even spicier, hotter and down right intoxicating - I am talking about the book and now just hot men in this series.

First off - let me just say two words that I must get out - Kace and shower. HOT DAMN!!

Ok. Back to the book. Goldie/Lo is finally a true Jett Girl but her place with Jett is still confusing as ever. That damn man lures her in so quickly and then flings her back out to sea. A woman can only take so much. Jett seems to think that he can have his cake and eat it too. But he's in for a rude awakening!

Then there's Kace - the walking orgasm! His relationship with Goldie is very stormy. She wants to be his friend and he just wants her to go away. Little does he know that she doesn't give up so easily. Goldie is a feisty one!

And Diego - I must know more about him. Meghan you have done your finest at piquing my interest in this character.

But don't think this book is all about the hot sex and even hotter men. Oh no - Meghan has intricately weaved a very intriguing story line that puts many characters in the line of fire if they aren't careful where they tread.

Megahn does a superb job of keeping the amazingly hilarious and witty content so real and doesn't come across as cheesy or over the top. Meghan's writing style just pulls you right into the story and you find yourself immesered in the world of New Orleans.

I can't wait to see what she gives us in Forever A Jett Girl!

I'm humming the Rocky theme song because shit is going down and Goldie is coming out swinging! I'm loving me some Goldie right now. No only is she sassy and bad-assy, she's fighting for her man! Now Jett *sigh* I'm still on the fence like I was in the last book. I get his intentions but dang, he keeps hurting my girl! Looking forward to see how this all plays out in the next book.

Sidenote - I love when all the Jett Girls get drunk together. OMG fuuny times!

Sorry Meghan, but i didn't like it, at all! which is sad because the story had so much potential.I loved that this was about exotic dancers and i loved the setting, too bad the author didn't explore that side too deeply. instead she kept focusing on the romance ( which i found was forced) and creating dramas that no one needed.Oh and i hated the girl.she has nothing in her head, too dumb and volatile .I just didn't enjoy the read and kept skipping a lot of it.

Bourbon Deceit picks up right where Bourbon Sins left off, thank goodness, and it didn't hold back for a minute. Goldie/Lo is settling in at the Lafayette Club and she and Jett are moving forward in their relationship. Things are still epically complicated, between his side pursuits and just their relationship as a whole. His past weighs heavy on him and that definitely has an impact on things between them. So does Goldie's ex, Rex. He and Jett's father are up to no good and the whole thing basically kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading.

I was every bit as addicted to this book as I was the first. Maybe even more so if I'm being totally honest. I was fully in "I HAVE TO KNOW ALL THE THINGS" mode and I had a really tough time not just chucking all responsibilities out the window and reading it cover-to-cover in one sitting. I won't say a whole lot more about the story here because I don't want to spoil anything for you if you've not yet read the first book. All I'll say is, if you decide to read, you should prepare yourself for a binge. You won't want to stop reading once you start. I should know, I read the first three books in the Bourbon series in a matter of, like, four days. (I regret nothing.)

This series is hot AF and has plenty of interesting characters and connections. I need to break down and read the final book, which is Kace's story, but I'm just not quite ready to give up all these characters yet. Soon, though. I'm not going to be able to hold off that much longer.

I received a copy of this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

FAVORITE QUOTES

"You're innocent in this world, despite your past, you're so fucking innocent."

I liked to pretend I was a strong man and nothing affected me but deep down, I was a hurting son of a bitch with a black hole where my heart should be.

Original Review @ Nomi’s Paranormal Palace

I loved the first book in the Bourbon series and I had to read Being a Jett Girl immediately! It’s a highly addictive series that has had me hooked from the beginning. There are witty characters that I love, one dominant male lead that I can’t get enough of and heaps of intense passionate scenes!

I still love Goldie/Lo! She is such a fun character to read about and her witty remarks always have me laughing out loud. She continues to push Jett to his limits, but he wouldn’t change her for anything. They are getting closer, and I loved seeing them adjust to one another. It is hard for Jett, because his trust has been broken before, but together they are learning.

The overall story line continued in Being a Jett Girl, with Jett continuing to pursue Lot 17. There are some dangerous elements in this instalment that had me gasping and on the edge of my seat. One thing I missed was seeing all the girls perform together, as this book takes a slight turn from that, but I still got to see them all together in other circumstances. There are still a lot of sexy intimate scenes, yummy shower scenes and a few truths were revealed, and boy was it a fun ride!

Being a Jett Girl continues on straight after the first book, but in my opinion, you don’t have to read the first one to understand the storyline, as the author fills you in along the way. I think it is better if you do though, because you get the whole experience of being in this world if you do. Once I got to the end though, my jaw hit the floor and now I am desperate for the next book to see what happens! Well done Meghan Quinn, you have me hooked!!

I'm here to submit to you Jett!!! Oh if only lol.
Another thrilling instalment from Meghan.
Goldie the sassy young woman, with her loose feisty mouth but a beautiful loving heart. Jett the domineering masterful man who seems to be adjusting his ways for Goldie.
Lot 17 or Goldie what a chose for Jett to have to make. The battle with his father continues throughout the book keeping everything in suspense as to what's going to happen next.
Meghan can write some really hot steamy scenes and I just loved the shower scene, The push ups contest between Kace and Jett had me laughing and the phone sex phew hot stuff. Kace still trying to dig himself out of the emotional turmoil that blinds him. He needs to numb the pain with fighting.
Diego was a great addition to the story and can't wait to see what goes on when his new club opens....
How long till the next one???

This book picks up where we left off from Bourbon Sins. There were so many times I wanted to nut punch Jett and times I wanted to shake some sense in Goldie. And many times I was wondering if Kace was the better man for Goldie. I had so many struggles reading this book. It was more angsty and had less of Meghan’s famous humor but it was still sexy as hell. Diving right into the next one.

This was more tedious than the first, but I really like Goldie.

Not loving the whole "collar" thing. I would NEVER allow anything like that, but I think that's kinda the point with this relationship.

Now, I'm off to read the finale.

My star rating for Being A Jett Girl is 4 1/2 out of 5! :)

My ‘Blogging Reader’s Review’ after reading an ARC for ‘Being A Jett Girl’(The Bourbon Series book #2):

**BONUS: The Below review PLUS my Interview with the vivacious and fun author of The Bourbon Series, Meghan Quinn, can be found on my blog! Make sure to Check that out!**

Author Meghan Quinn continues to dish out a great storyline in the second novel of the Bourbon Series and readers will definitely have a lot to look forward to with Being A Jett Girl. The many hot, yet sometimes turbulent characters, apart from a few corrupt players from Jett’s rich world, slowly send the main characters though a tailspin. The story continues with the main two P.O.V.’s(point of views) from Goldie and Jett. Readers can still expect to be given the entertaining mix of steamy scenes, hilarious sarcasm and moments that will pull at your heartstrings.

Goldie is now officially one of the girls, The Jett Girls that is. She has been working her butt off to prove herself to everyone and to herself, that she deserves to be there. The other reason she wanted to fight hard to stay was because she has completely become infatuated by the sexy and mysterious Jett Colby. They have a connection that around them sees but there is always something keeping them from allowing it to draw them closer in many ways.

Jett Colby is confused and entranced by the funny and sexy Goldie, known also as “Lo” which is short for “Little One”, the pet name Jett gave her. Jett wants Goldie in so many ways but there are forces from the corrupt people in one part of his life that are determined to threaten his success and anyone Jett cares about. We get to see new sides of Jett and learn so much more about this sexy, mysterious and loveable character. From what makes him tick to what may be the few things that could break such a controlled man.

How can we forget Jett’s long time best friend, Kace. His character begins to share a little more about his back story and why he’s so hard on Goldie most of the time. There is one moment of the story with Kace, that honestly was one of the hottest and “steamiest” scenes in this story. I’m sure as you read the story you’ll know exactly which part it is. Goldie witnessed that moment, just so you know. We also get to see more about who Kace is and his loyalties as well as some glimpses at his emotional side.

Then there is a new character introduced by the name of Diego Muenez, who fits right into the alpha-sexy-male world alongside Jett and Kace. He’s a loyal friend of Jett’s that was also another person Jett helped along the way. He seems like a great addition to the lineup of great characters. And we can’t forget to mention the other beautiful Jett Girls, who’ve all become close friends to Goldie. They definitely have their moments in the story, especially Pepper. Readers will also get a little glimpse of Lyla, Goldie’s old roommate and long time friend, who I have a feeling will have a larger role tied into the story in the next novel of the Bourbon Series. (Just a guess…)

Meghan Quinn has written a great continuation to this series! There is a pleasing flow to the story and the characters are always so much fun to read about and follow the story with. You won’t be anywhere near disappointed with Being A Jett Girl and where the story takes us. Will Jett finally let Goldie get closer to him emotionally or will he keep pushing her away? Will Goldie give up on Jett? What is going on with Kace? Who is threatening to ruin everything for Jett and those he cares about? There is so much going on in this story and it sets us up for the third and final book of the Bourbon Series which will be titled “Forever A Jett Girl.” Can’t wait to check that one out. Till then, I highly recommend Being A Jett Girl and this entire series.

My Star Rating for BEING A JETT GIRL is: 4 1/2 out of 5 stars! :)

Meghan Quinn’s Bourbon Series is now fully published. It consists of four books: Bourbon Sins, Bourbon Deceits, Bourbon Kingdom and Bourbon Truths. The final book, Bourbon Truths, is written as a standalone, spinoff even though it basically picks up where Bourbon Kingdom ends.

I enjoyed the first book in Meghan Quinn’s Bourbon Series. The premise for the series is great, but I felt that as a series, it was too drawn out. The books are overly filled with drama, angst and sex scenes in order to lengthen the story. There are several aspects of the story that were insufficiently explored. Further development of these plot points would have made the series richer. Inclusion of more details on Jett’s father’s plans (his perspective is not developed enough and it would have brought more dimension and suspense to the story) would have given the story more suspense and foreboding. Natasha, Jett’s prior love interest, is mentioned frequently, and in book one, Jett fears for her in her relationship with Rex, but she is not mentioned aside that. The loss of a girlfriend doesn’t seem to be a big enough reason for a life-long grudge. There is mention of a “mole” in Jett’s organization, but that is neither explored nor revealed; that one aspect of book 2, Bourbon Deceits, had me on edge wondering which Jett Girl was jealous enough to become a traitor. Needless to say, it was disappointing that a mole was neither explored nor identified. The other Jett Girls are not given much background until the last book, Bourbon Truths, and while presented as women down on their luck and given a chance at an education and self-improvement, when socializing after work, they talk like cheap prostitutes. Ms. Quinn might have given them the foulest mouths east of the Mississippi in order to infuse humor, but for me, it made for less realistic characters especially as the story progressed.

The Jett Colby character is golden; he may be imperfect and wounded, but he is probably the purest of all the characters. Goldie is crass and vulgar, and that only worsens with the progression of the storyline. I really couldn’t get into that character—she fell on hard times after Hurricane Katrina, but her character is written as if she was born and raised in the gutters of NOLA. Even though she is given finishing/manner lessons, her etiquette doesn’t improve. While Goldie’s colorful descriptions of both male and female anatomy are probably supposed to be humorous, I found them to be distasteful and detracting from the storyline.

Kace is enigmatic and brooding until the last book in the series, Bourbon Truths. In that final book, readers get some details about Kace’s past and present. He becomes a three-dimensional character whom readers can care about and understand, and that book truly makes Kace an empathetic character for whom you can hope and cheer.
The writing style and story structure in the final book, Bourbon Truths, is the most complex and interesting. Kace’s story is presented in dual time lines, and there are multiple points of view. In my opinion, the best written book in the series.

Jett is clearly a loyal friend and champion of the underdog. His loyalty and belief in his best friend, Kace, is heartwarming. The women he takes in have definitely improved their situations in life, but in the end, Goldie is as much Jett’s savior as he is hers. Overall, 5 stars for the story premise, 2 stars for pace and plot development, 3 stars for characters. I enjoyed the series, however, I strongly feel that with good editing, this good series would have been a fantastic standalone novel.

One of the genre descriptors (from Goodreads) is BDSM, however, BDSM is only mildly inferred. The vividly described consensual sex scenes do make this series a NC-17 read.

OMG I'm so pissed this book is over!!!! I need book 3!!! Meghan how could you do this to me!? Are you f*cking kidding me!? I hurt. I feel wounded. I feel like I got ran over and I'm not diggin' this feeling. I got the feels. The hurt and devastated kind.

Now I'm going to try and make it through this review because this book was fan-f*ckin-fantastic but I'm not sure I can handle my emotions.

First off, this book was totally EPIC! Like holy moly people! I have never laughed that hard. I teared the heck up and literally had to walk away and get myself under control. Where do you come up with these things Meghan Quinn? My God woman!

Now book one was all about Goldie (LO) and her training to become a Jett Girl, but book two was her excepting her life as a Jett Girl and what that meant for her and Jett. We finally got to see real depth with Jett, and I have to be honest, the more he opened up, the more I wanted to pull him in.

These two were meant for each other. To save each other. Goldie realizes all thorough out the book that it may not be as easy as she hoped. No matter how happy you are, there will always be something or someone that will want to tear you down. Goldie and Jett were not an exception.

The battle didn't solely lie with this outside force, but with Jett himself. As the pull of Goldie became more than he could handle, he resorted back to Default. This frustrated me so many times. I really just wanted to grab him by the you know what and drag his ass back to Goldie on several occasions.

But after everything I never strayed from the hope that they would find each other.

Now the heat in this book was so damn good. However, I do have to say my favorite parts were of Goldie and the girls. Meghan Quinn can write a exotic dance scene like nobody's business!

The girls came back with a vengeance and I kept silently crying to myself that I didn't have a girl pack like this one. I would kill for that sisterhood. Oh and when they let loose and those shots were flying! To be in the center of that lady sandwich! *Phew*

We not only get a steamy shower scene with the shmexy Kace, but we got a much better look into his demons as well. My heart hurts for him and I really and sincerely pray we get a spin-off with him. Meghan that man deserves his own.

I was on an emotional roller coaster in this book and I never wanted to get off. I was mad when I flipped to the last page knowing that I wouldn't get a conclusion. That ending also really has me worried!!!! I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE Cliffhangers but I will forgive you Meghan Quinn, because you gave me the best day of reading EVER!

Now woman hurry up and send me Book 3... I'm dying over here!

*curls in fetal position and sobs*

***This book was gifted to me by the incredibly beautiful and talented Meghan Quinn for an honest review.***

REVIEW:
If you think the first Bourbon installment was a whirlwind of emotion smacking you in the face at every page, just wait until you read book two. I was seriously needing a strong drink after everything that happens, but damn this book was so good. Its strange to say how one seriously messed up guy and one nutty girl are so freaking right for each other, but I adored them both.

Being a Jett Girl picks up right where Becoming a Jett Girl left off. Lo aka Goldie is now officially a Jett Girl, she has found her place among the girls and slowly making her way into Jett’s heart. But Jett has been hurt in the past, his family, especially his father are determined to make his life miserable. Now that Jett and Goldie are getting closer to each other the dangers in Jetts life start targeting Goldie and he has to make a big decision and choose between two things that he wants the most.

Lo aka Goldie is a bundle of spunk with a seriously fowl mouth. I adored her, she doesn’t hold anything back and always says what she means emotionally. She cares so much for her friends the Jett Girls, Kace whom she constantly has some heated moments with and of course Jett who makes her heart beat and breaks it at the same time. This was a tough chapter for Goldie, she has to fight to peel back Jett’s layers and hope that she can eventually protect him.

Jett is quite a mess this time around. He is naturally a strong and dominate man who wants to help people, especially his Jett girls. But when it comes to Goldie he is put in a tight situation between hurting her and fighting against his father. He thinks that Goldie is a sign from his mother, that maybe she is the one woman to make him love again. I’m so rooting for something to go right for this guy, he makes so many mistakes but its all with good intensions.

Overall I read both book 1 and 2 in one day; seriously this series has me hooked. It is hotter then hell, the romance and passion is smoking hot that it made me blush reading any scene that was steamy. I adored all the secondary characters, Kace who has a special place in my heart with his bad boy, always-angry charm, Pepper, Tootse, and Babs who make me laugh with how sweet and supportive they are of Goldie. Its an awesome support system for two leads who need all the back they can get in their chaotic lives. I cant wait to see what happens next because that ending, I know Goldie is going to be putting herself in on sticky situation.

I went into this book not having read the first one, despite not knowing the full back story I managed to pick up it up really easily.

I absolutely loved Goldie/Lo, she has absolutely no filter on what comes out of her mouth and her imagination, she is someone I would love to have as a best friend. I had so many laugh out loud moments that I lost count!

Goldie is a 'Jett Girl' which means she works for Jett Colby in his exclusive adult entertainment club. All the Jett Girl's live on site and are expected to adhere to the rules set out to them by Jett. Being invited up to the Bourbon Room to 'play' with Jett is something that is now exclusive to Goldie only. She has caught his eye and he favors her over the other girls when it comes to his sexual needs.

"There is this feeling you have the next morning after an amazing bout of sex, this tingle in your lady area that keeps saying, you were utterly fucked to the hilt of your cervix last night and holy fuck it was good" - Goldie

Goldie is happy to submit to Jett and the more time they spend together, the deeper their connection grows. I love how Goldie challenges not just Jett but the world around her, she is not afraid to speak up and is very sensitive to the needs of all the people in her life. Her friendship with Kace is very interesting. Like Jett, he is all kinds of hotness and has a massive crush on Goldie but he knows he cannot cross that line, she belongs to Jett.

Goldie is slowly breaking down Jett's carefully constructed walls and inching her way into his heart and soul. He is completely falling for her but feels unworthy of her. He doesn't feel good enough for her but he can't stay away from her.

"I'm falling for you Goldie, so fucking hard and fast that I can't even catch my breath, find my footing and all I want to do is spend my days with you in my arms..." - Jett

He wants to protect her from all that is bad in his past and his life now. There is no way Goldie will stand back and quietly let him deal with shit on his own though. Goldie thinks it's time someone stood up and fought for Jett, I don't doubt that she will succeed and prove to him that he is a good man, worthy of her love and committment. This story is not over and whilst there isn't a cliffhanger, it does finish with a bit of a WTF? I will definitely be looking out for book 3!

This is book 2 of the Bourbon series. Book 1 ends in Goldie officially becoming a Jett Girl and her relationship with Jett continues.

Oh my word, Jett and Goldie’s story just gets better and better. Now a Jett Girl Goldie’s relationship with Jett looks like it’s on the up and up. Their sexual chemistry never wanes, they just can’t get enough of each other and even though Jett won’t say those three words Goldie knows that he feels something for her. She is still the same sassy and funny girl that got Jett’s attention. “My cleavage was so glittery, I was afraid a gaggle of unicorns was going to sprout from my nips.” Goldie’s quips never fails to make me smile, she is such a ray of sunshine. The secondary characters Kace, Diego and the other Jett girls are still very much in the picture but we get to know more of Kace’s story and how Diego got thrown in into Goldie’s life, it all got complicated.

In this book Jett’s problem with his dad is the main issue and is coming to a showdown. All he wants is to protect Goldie from the fallout if everything doesn’t go to plan. What is it about men that they think they know what’s best for their women? After all the palaver they went through in the previous book she is still clueless on Jett’s issues and Jett the stubborn man that he is leaves Goldie in the dark. “The man is infuriating. One minute I’m flying on cloud nine with my pleasured vagina flapping in the breeze waving at all unicorns and kitties in my dream land and the next moment, I’m lying low in a gutter full of dragon shit wondering where I went wrong. I liked roller coasters but this was one ride that I was starting to get sick of.” Oh, yes I did notice Goldie’s fascination with unicorns.

After all the effort Jett has done to protect Goldie from his father’s dirty tricks and threats it looks like these pair’s romantic bubble is about to burst. If you don’t like cliffhangers this book ends in one but thank your lucky stars all 4 books are already available. If you may excuse me, I’m off to read book 3! Highly recommended!

This is book 2 in the Bourbon Series—this book picks up where we last left off in Bourbon Sins (bk1).
Can I say, this is one crazy as sin , awesome, sexy series!! Jett and Goldie’s story just keeps getting better. Goldie/Lo is still sassy as ever, mouth still getting her in trouble and Jett is opening up to Goldie and things are starting to looking bright between the two of them until Jett’s dad- Leo and Rex Titan (Goldie’s ex) start mischief and destruction. What are they after… LOT17. It all comes down to practically a showdown between Jett and his dad and in the crossfire is Goldie. Jett wants to protect Goldie in case his plan doesn’t work out. But his plan could rip them apart…for good. Their relationship is so complex and fraught with tension and pain and angst. But there is also passion and at times tenderness. They both have a lot of baggage and of course, issues which complicate their relationship. Goldie pushes for answers from Jett which he refuses to give and without knowing what LOT17 is and how it impacts their relationship, will this be the thing, the issue the drives them apart?
OH MAMA, this was another roller coaster story with great characters and supporting characters. In this book, we met Diego – then Kace and other Jett girls are still very much in the picture. We saw how the secondary characters were in Goldie’s life while Jett was off doing his thing. There was so many ups and down in this book, and it ended in an epic cliff hanger. I literally bit off my nails while reading this book. I was so mad at Jett during half the book and the other half I was yelling at Goldie to listen and not run off and do what she did. That is the mark of how good a book is, is when you are conversing with the characters. Since this ends on a cliffhanger, I cannot wait for book 3 to find out what happens to Goldie and Jett’s relationship and the evil that is haunting them.

My Rating: 4.7 stars *****

Nooooooo!!!! Cliffhanger ending that had my heart breaking but also cheering for Goldie's girl power.

Goldie is her usual trashy mouthed but hilarious self in the second instalment of The Bourbon Series as she thrives in her new role as a fully fledged Jett Girl. Navigating through her evolving relationship with Jett takes her through a roller coaster of emotions but learning to trust and have faith in each other will ultimately benefit both.

I seriously would like to be the meat in a Kace and Jett sandwich ;) The way both of these alpha men are described in this book is too hot and made me want to see if Goldie would stray from Jett just to experience Kace and all his hotness. The sexual tension between Kace & Goldie is evident in every interaction they have but her heart is currently held by Jett and her obsession is only growing. The varied and steamy sex between Goldie and Jett burns through the pages while the sweet and vulnerable side of Jett had me swooning!!!

Goldie is by far one of my favourite heroines with her cute and trashy (sometimes vulgar) mouth but it only adds to the story and really makes the book what it is. As I may have mentioned I could easily fall for both Jett and Kace so I'm hoping for a HEA for both men and can't wait to see where the story goes in book #3 :)

The Bourbon Series has been my introduction to author Meghan Quinn and im so glad I found her!!!! I will definitely be checking out more of her books :) If you can handle some crass but funny humour and some super sexy Alpha's that like a bit of kink and control then I highly recommend you check out The Bourbon Series now!!!!

I’m a new fan of Meghan Quinn’s and luckily I read 3 amazing books of hers before this series. The 1st book I did finish & thought it was ok, the sex scenes were hot but the storyline & characters I just could not connect with. I’m not a fan of the Dom/Submissive plot in general. Here are my issues with book 2 and why I DNF even though I really wanted to like this series.

***Spoilers ahead***

1. Goldie “Lo” is an idiot, I’m sorry to say. Just plain dumb, has no clue what is going around her, Jett tells her I need to hide you away for your own safety but instead of really figuring out from what the heck is going on, she just goes along with it. She received a couple of clues about Lot17 and says she’s going to google it but never does! I was hoping for some character growth in this book but sadly she remained completely immature. She’s in love with Jett, yet keeps lusting after every “hot” guy she meets. Watching Kace take a shower naked, kinda peeping Tom creepy.
2. Jett is an immature idiot too! Argh! He keeps telling Goldie how amazing & beautiful she is. Really? What is amazing about her??! First, she’s fickle -lusting after other guys. Second, she worked as a waitress at a strip club for 9 years & slept with a guy for money. 9 years?? Get a school loan, put yourself through college, make something of yourself. The only thing she’s amazing at is lap dances.

Neither of these characters have any redeeming qualities. All they did was fight, sex, fight, sex. I finally came to the realization that there’s no way I can finish this book. It goes against everything I stand for - women empowerment, intelligence, emotional awareness, self-respect.

Mmmmmm Kace & Shower = HOT ass shower scene!

UPDATE:

I absolutely LOVE Meghan...and I can't seem to get enough of her and her books that she writes.

I LOVE this series hard and I mean HARD!
Being a Jett Girl was just as good if not better than Becoming a Jett Girl.
I seriously can't wait for everyone read it, you just can't help but love the characters in the Bourbon Series <3

OMG! Kace....we have a freaking HOT shower scene with Kace in it.... *fans ones self* Deliciously H.O.T
I love me some Kace....

Please can someone direct me to signups to become a freaking Jett Girl.....I'll pay handsomely
"I liked to pretend I was a strong man and nothing affected me but deep down, I was a hurting son of a bitch with a black hole where my heart should be." ~ Jett
I loved seeing this side of Jett, his caring, loving side....we only see this though when with Goldie....she is the key to colouring in his black heart....

I still can't get over Goldie's potty mouth, it's a breath of fresh air, I love her, I would probably bat for the other side if I ever met a Goldie ;)

I'll be honest when Meghan wrote the words "The only thing I can do. She needs to leave." I knew shit was about to go down and dirty....whenever I read something like this in Meghan's books I know I'll either start crying and blubbering, or I'll be effin & geffing lol.... she gets me soooo worked up

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

Goldie and Jett's story picks up from where it left off in book 1. Being Jett Girl is much more about their relationship and less about Goldie actually being a Jett Girl. Threats from Jett's father and the struggle to obtain Lot 17 have a huge impact on events.

Jett continues to struggle to meet Goldie's expectations for a relationship. Jett annoyed me a little in this story. He is supposed to be one of the top businessmen in the city and a dom but his behaviour toward's Goldie when they are not having sex is more like that of a 15 year old. He is completely clueless. The first few times he mucks up were entertaining but it got a little tired toward the middle of the book. Goldie was great though because she doesn't take his crap.

Kace continues to play an important role in the story and I'm hoping he will be given his own book. I'd love to get inside his head.

The ending of Being a Jett Girls was not what I expected at all and the author has set up perfectly for an exciting third book.

Well, I won't say this is better than the first book, but I really liked how Jett opened up to Goldie in this one. Finally this man allowed his shattered walls to remain as rubble. His hot and cold was getting a wee bit frustrating.

Like many others who've read this book, though brief, I was indeed 'titillated' by Kace's shower scene. Hot damn! I feel really bad for him because although he's developed extremely strong feelings for Goldie, they're not returned. She loves him, but not the same. By the end of this book, I was over my #teamGoldieandKace fever lol. I hope he gets his HEA. I wonder what amazing woman will stake a claim on his big heart?!

In the end, Goldie is still outrageous (girl has absolutely no filter, but really really needs one)... Jett is becoming comfortable with his feelings for Goldie... Kace is still amazingly hot and amazing... Did I mention that Kace is amazing? Can you tell I love me some Kace?... Jett's dad is still a psycho... Diego, the new guy, is a fun and hot flirt who's into kink. Love him. Hope he gets a HEA too... Read this series. It is a delight!

Oooh I almost forgot! Did anyone else notice how the author, Ms. Feisty Quinn made a cameo appearance. Urban dictionary's definition of a stanky ho!! LMAO!! Thanks for that!!

That I could be a Jett fan, but then he pulls a Jett and works my nerves again.
It might not have been the best idea for me to read 1 & 2 back to back, because that was a lot of the overbearing Jett for me to handle.
Still a big fan of Lo. She is persistent, feisty, a crowd pleaser, and all around mischief seeker.
Very interested in Diego. His club could be GREAT.
Still #TeamKace all the way.

"I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads."

This is the second in the series, and I would suggest that you definitely need to have read book one to get full enjoyment from the story. Goldie has now been made up to a Jett girl and much to Jett's dismay enjoys working with the other girls even more now. He shows himself to be somewhat in her thrall, even though he tries to deny it. As his business dealings get ever more complex, things get serious, and these two have to really develop some trust. The story has taken on a more dramatic hue, but still the zany humour shines on in this installment.

Cannot say that will be the case in book 3 - which I hope Ms Quinn is busy getting ready to release, as I am in need of the next fix of Jett, Goldie and (if I'm honest, especially ...) Kace !

ps smiled at the use of a particular name ;-)

Holy cow! Meghan, you knocked one out of the park with this one. While I wasn’t much of a Jett fan in the first book, I was so cheering him and Goldie on in this one. Just when I was worried that Goldie was developing a filter in order to please Jett, I was blown back and reminded why I love this character so much. So many back stories were developed in the second book that things that I was a little confused by in the first book, made a whole lot of sense in this one. Just when I thought that Goldie was going one way, boom she makes the ultimate sacrifice in order to save Jett and his vision. I’ve got to admit though; Jett sort of grew on me though. While I was so sad for Kace and his feelings towards Lo, I really enjoyed how the relationship between Jett and Goldie found its niche and took off. One of the most beautiful, hilarious and dysfunctional book couples that I have ever read, I cannot wait to see what happens with Jett and Goldie.

Let's just say that I couldn't start this book fast enough. I'm addicted to this series and once I finished the first book I just needed to get to this one.
Bourbon Deceit is the second book from the Bourbon series and oh Meghan... I'm doomed...
This book continues to explore Jett and Goldie's life and oh boy.
But this book will have not only this amazing duo but also Leo, Jett's dad, and also Titan.
Those two will rock the story and leave you wanting to get into the book and do something.
The stubbornness level from this book is so high that I wantes to kick them. Why the hell can't you give yourself to love?
This book has a lot of suspense, betrayal, and dishonesty. How can a father harm his own child to get his way in things?
Oh boy... I'm so happy to hear more about Kace... Can I have him Meghan? Lol
Let's get to the third book because Goldie has some explaining to do.
