All flights from Glasgow Airport ‘temporarily suspended’ amid strike action
FLIGHTS from Glasgow Airport have been temporarily suspended amid strike action.
Airport workers who are members of Unite union have launched industrial action over a pay dispute.
And a spokesman for Glasgow Airport confirmed flights are temporarily suspended to allow for a change over from contingency staff and normal staff.
He said: "Runway operations are temporarily suspended. There is a change over from contingency staff and normal staff coming back to work.

He added: "There will be minor delays. It was a planned operational suspension and a note was sent to all airlines that there would be minor delays."
It is expected the temporary suspension should come to an end shortly after 5pm.

Travellers at the busy transport hub were hit with chaos that morning as the industrial action got underway.
Airport bosses took to social media to apologise for the delays that passengers faced.
