Salam Friends! We hope you to share our website with your friends. The more you share, The more updates you will get every day. And For more Amazing Apps/Games Connect with us on Facebook, Twitter and Subscribe to our RSS feed.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to overclock processor and change frequency on Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone. If you want to unleash the maximum power of your Samsung Galaxy S5 phone's processor, then follow the instructions in this guide to overclock processor as well as change frequency of the CPU processor speed on your Samsung Galaxy S5 device. Default settings on the Samsung Galaxy S5 don't allow you to use the processor at its maximum limit for tasks that required extra power to run smoothly. But with a little tweaking, you can easily overclock & change the frequency of the processor on the Galaxy S5.

Galaxy S5 had been the company best-selling smartphone for several years until it was taken over by the Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge in terms of sales around the world. The Samsung Galaxy S5 still is one of the most used smartphones in the world though. It was released back in 2014 in two variants differentiated by processor types.

The first variant of the Samsung Galaxy S5 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset. It is capable of clocking at 2.5GHz. Adreno 330 GPU handles graphics on the device. It comes with the SM-G900F model number.

The Second variant features an Octa-core Exynos CPU with the capacity to clock at 1.9GHz. Its graphics are processed by Mali-T628 MP6 GPU. The device has an SM-G900H model number. So, in terms of power comparison, there is not much to choose between the two variants. Both devices pack a punch when it comes to processing power.

However, not everyone is satisfied with the performance of the processor on the Samsung Galaxy S5. Modern apps & games are getting heavy due to improvements in graphical interface & more features. Older processors are finding it increasingly challenging to keep up with the new apps & tools. Most old Samsung smartphones often get stuck, freeze, stutter, or run slower than their normal speed when trying to run advanced tools, hacks, MODs, firmware, and custom tweaks.

But if you're an owner of the Galaxy S5 smartphone, then you are the lucky ones who can unlock full processor power by overclocking it to its maximum limit whenever needed for certain tasks. Moreover, you can change the processor frequency according to your requirements for preserving battery life.

How To Overclock Samsung Galaxy S5 CPU & Change Processor Frequency To Manage Battery Life

So here it is the guide that will show the process required to overclock processor & change frequency on the Galaxy S5. But before that, there are a few things that you should note:
Follow These Steps:
  1. Download No-Frills CPU Control App from the above link and download it on your Galaxy S5. This app allows you to maximize and change processor frequency.
  2. Launch the app on your device. There are a few options in the app: Max Clock Frequency, Min Clock Frequency, and Governor and I/O scheduler.
  3. Now, to change the processor speed to maximum, tap the Max. clock frequency option. Then, you can set desired CPU speed frequency.
  4. You can repeat the above step by selecting Min. speed option to lower the frequency of the Galaxy S5 processor for certain tasks. Note: Setting frequency too low might lead to your device experiencing lags and freeze. While too high a frequency can cause fast battery drain. So keep this in mind.
  5. All Done.
If you don't want to change the frequency but still want to extract better performance out of the device's processor without letting the battery take a hit then select the Governor option in app's interface. Under governor, you will find several sub-governors that can be used to set ideal frequency for saving battery power while achieving desired performance and speed.
Also, note that the option to overclock processor can only work if the function is allowed by the manufacturer. You won't be able to set the frequency higher than the maximum limit allowed by the manufacturer if the kernel doesn't support overclocking on your device.
