What’s buzz-worthy: The new wave of Inception — Topps Inception — that arrived this year gets another go next March with the same format but a darker, more-familiar look.

The Basics: The basic set will consist of 100 cards with a focus on young stars. Each pack will include four base cards and two parallels from a rainbow that includes Green (/TBD), Purple (/150), Magenta (/99), Red (/75), Orange (/50), Blue (/25) and Inception 1/1s alongside 1/1 printing plates. … Each case will include four patch autos, one Silver Signings or Gold Signings card and one jumbo patch auto. … Autographs will once again focus on rookies and “emerging stars” with Magenta, Red, Orange, Blue and Inception parallels with the same numbering as the base parallels. … Inception Silver Signings will spotlight 2018 rookies and be found one per case and these will have numbered Gold parallels (/25) and 1/1 Gold Inscriptions. … Also in the mix will be numbered Legendary Debut autos with Orange (/10), Blue (/5) and 1/1 Inception versions. There also will be short-print Inception autos limited to only 10 copies — the “best active players in MLB.” … On the auto-Relic front, there will be patches that will have Magenta (/TBD), Red (/25), Orange (/10), Blue (/6) and Inception 1/1s using the Majestic patch logo. … There also will be jumbo patch autos with Orange (/25), Blue (/10) and 1/1 Inception versions. … Rarer autograph finds in this one will be logo patch books (/2), letter patch books (/2), laundry tag books (1/1) and MLB logo books (1/1).
