The Mafia and His Angel, Part 2 is the continuation of Alessio and Ayla’s complicated love story, and it completely exceeded my expectations! I will admit that the beginning seemed a little too lovey dovey at times, but once I saw what the author had in store, everything made so much sense. Don’t get too comfortable with the sweet nothings and stolen kisses, because shit is about to get real!
Alessio did the one thing his father warned him would be his undoing. He fell in love. Alessio didn’t think he was even capable of that emotion, but Ayla proved him wrong. She burrowed her way into his heart, and that is where she would stay.
Little did he know, the woman he fell for was the daughter of his greatest enemy. Ayla’s father is Alessio’s mother's killer. As if that’s not bad enough, Ayla is engaged to an evil and sadistic man her father handed her over to as soon as she turned sixteen. That man wants her back, and he won’t stop until he gets what he wants.
The Mafia and His Angel, Part 2 was darker, bloodier, and more emotional than its predecessor. My heart warmed, raced, and broke as I went through a whole spectrum of emotion while I read. I devoured this story praying the whole time that Lylah had a soul and wasn’t going to leave me hanging too badly. The suspense had me on the edge of my seat for the last 50 percent of the book. Knowing this isn’t the final installment in the series, I tried to prepare myself for the devastating cliffhanger that I assumed inevitable, and while the ending did leave us with questions, it wasn’t as bad as I anticipated. I felt satisfied, but still dying to read Part 3 which is everything I could have hoped for! If you are a fan of mafia romance, I recommend this one to you!

This installment picks up where Part I left off. Alessio and Ayla are growing closer, despite the turmoil that surrounds them. The side characters were almost as interesting as the main ones and added plenty of depth and perspective to the story. Things start off smoothly and stay that way for most of the book. There were many lighthearted moments mixed in to liven things up. And then the author throws in a whammy, thrusting the reader into an intense world of captivity, pain, devastation, and the quest for truth.
Part II was definitely darker than the first part, but first the author lulled me into a false sense of security and contentment as she continued to build the foundation of Ayla and Alessio’s relationship. We get more than casual glimpses of Ayla’s innocence and naivete and Alessio’s dance in the light that was cast by his angel. Their love transcended everything that stood in their way, including the secret Ayla continued to keep. However, that secret came around to bite her in the azz when the traitor in Alessio’s midst brought her to the enemy. Then the story takes a turn into the depraved while Ayla’s being tortured and Alessio is turning the city upside down and letting the streets run red trying to find her. Due to Alessio’s overwhelming feelings for Ayla, which have become obvious to the rest of the Bratva, there are murmurs of anarchy among the troops. Can Alessio continue to rule as the Pakhan while hunting down his Italian targets in his search for his lost love? Who is the rat? Will Alessio find Ayla in time? What will become of this couple? I truly thought this was a duet so imagine my surprise when I get to the end of the story and it’s to be continued. Every moment, scene, and event leading up to the ending took me on a crazy ride with these people and their antics and I’m excited to find the thrills that will be waiting for me inside Part III.

The ship has totally sailed w the perfectness and cuteness between Ayla & Alessio! God i love them so much! Their need for one another is astounding. Woah makes my hopes up for this kind of love in reality... so ❤️❤️
And omg all the moments btwn em, the bitterness,the sexiness, the happiness, sadness and betrayals omgg that was the worst! Allll the damn hardship Ayla has been through and she continues to live as a happy person who only looks at the positive side amazes me! She's so strong man. Deff one of the strongest characters I've read! I salute u gurrl! Love ya! Aha
And Alessio like i mean damn even his nme is sexy ahahha deff a total hotness overload! And he couldve hve not been any better for Ayla! They're meant to be! Fated! I ship! Ahahah

The first half of this book is a nice easy read as Ayla and Alessio build their relationship, it’s not all smooth sailing but they get to a good place but we know from the blurb it’s only temporary.
I had her…and then I lost her.
But I will not stop until I find her.
Even if it means starting a war and spilling the blood of everyone who gets in my way.
It was a case of when not if and I spent a lot of the first half wondering when she would be taken. The book changes and takes on a darker edge as Ayla is abused and tortured. Alessio suffers his own torment as he fails to find Ayla and struggles to cope without his Angel.
For me this was a better book than the first one, I was still annoyed that Ayla continued to sit on her name but once she’d been taken the book just flew by.

I gave in to hype and bought the books...and... Holy Shit!I am sooooo glad I got to read this book. There is always a 50/50 chance when you 'buy' into a book thats so hyped up-you either love it or hate it. Can you make out that I loved this book?
This Mafia and His Angel: Part 2 is a continuation after that MAJOR cliffhanger in Part 1.
I love mafia romance novels and there have been many that I've obsessed over but by far THIS book has become one of my favourites! I can't get over it! It was brutal! Absolutely brutal! Brutally emotional! I sobbed my eyes out, cursed (never realised I had such a potty mouth. hahaha), and fell head over heels in love with Alessio and Ayla.
I will say this, the book is not for the faint of heart, there are issues which are 'uncomfortable' but once you come to terms with that, you see the innocent yet raw love between these two shattered souls.
I can't get over how much this book ripped my heart out. MY MIND IS OFFICIALLY BLOWN AWAY!!!!
The characters are swoon worthy and the secrets revealed will leave you utterly utterly dumbstruck! There is so much pain and revenge and love in this book...it's overwhelmingly beautiful.
Did I mention I sobbed my eyes out?! Literally to the point where I started getting a headache BUT I couldn't stop until the very last page. By the time I was done with the book, the sun had risen and I felt utterly gutted because Lylah James had ended the book in another MAJOR cliffhanger and because we will never know when Part 3 will be released.
I hope you guys get to read this beautifully dark romance between Alessio and Ayla. I really don't want to reveal anything about the storyline because I want you to experience what every reader of this book have experienced so far. Happy Reading Guys!

When I first read Part 1 of this series, I thought Alessio is more like therapist than mafia. I remember I like the story. When I finally get a copy of Part 2, I dove in right away. I want to know how the romance between Alessio and Ayla.
I am not disappointed with Part 2. The first half is... boring and cheesy. But then the last 50% is interesting. The story pick up and Alessio finally rises to be the cold heart mafia he was suppose to be. Miss James has evaluate her writing. She takes us into the cheesy romance then flips the story into tragedy. Her wording hits home. I found myself heart broken over Ayla.
BTW this book contains a lot of trigger especially sexual assault and abuse. Not for fainted heart. Now moving on to the last book.

Trigger warning: This is a dark romance series. It has abuse, rape, drugs, sexual assault, gore etc. Not recommended for readers below 18 years old and those who aren't into this subgenre.
Alessio and Ayla's story continues and things are getting well between them. They like each other and Alessio becomes vulnerable which affects his credibility as the mafia boss. His father lectured him not to let Ayla get under his skin and with a betrayer on the loose, he cannot let his enemies know his weakness or else Ayla might have the same fate as his mother. The idea itself scares him and shutting down Ayla might be the best way to keep her safe. However, both ended up hurting each toehr and realize they couldn't be apart.
Ayla still keeps her secret from Alessio. She's deeply falling for him and she knows she must tell him the truth soon. Her life is in danger as Alberto searches for her. If it happens, she'll go through hell again and worse, she could die in his hands and lose everything. That includes her love, happiness and soul.
I like it as much as the first part but this is a tougher read as there are more brutal scenes. It will make you cringe and feel sorry for Ayla and for all the pain she suffered. She deserves better than this! (T_T) Also, I feel relieved when one of my favorite characters isn't the rat. Thank goondess!!

If you see the review of my first book, I gave it a 4 star. I had some issues. But THIS BOOK, it deserves all the stars in the world.
The Book starts with Alessio and Ayla and their developing feelings for each other. We see hearts and flowers. It was amazing and pretty bold of the author to give an entire first book in exploring the character of Alessio and diving deep into his softer feelings. (I also meant Violence)" ;-) But this book had Sex and Violence, and the plot morphs into this really dark and plot driven story.
I was worried about a certain lie at the end of the first book, and I did predict how the shit would turn about, and I was right..So YAY me.. But I never expected the author to go so Dark on the character. Dark in a very very Good way.

If you see the review of my first book, I gave it a 4 star. I had some issues. But THIS BOOK, it deserves all the stars in the world.
The Book starts with Alessio and Ayla and their developing feelings for each other. We see hearts and flowers. It was amazing and pretty bold of the author to give an entire first book in exploring the character of Alessio and diving deep into his softer feelings. Whoa..... that ending! This book was definitely a little darker than the first. Those of you who have triggers with abuse, rape, etc., be warned.
My heart was aching for Alessio..... yep, I've definitely fallen for this mafia monster. But there's a soft side to him! He just needs his Angel!

This second installment was much better than the first, it was non-stop action from thee get go. We went from Alessio and Arya finally being happy together since she is getting over some of her past issues. To her finally wanting to reveal her secrets to him about who she really is. Then everything falls apart when her ex-fiancé finds her and takes her into hiding.
Alessio can’t find her and knows the kind of torture she must be enduring as he searches. He is still trying to find the traitor in his camp as well. So good and so much action and suspense.

La historia de Ayla y Alessio continúa, Aylessio dijera Maddie, de una manera más dulce es este inicio porque ya Alessio reconoce que Ayla ha roto con todos sus muros de su corazón, siguen yendo al arroyo y sus noches las pasan juntos, es decir, sigue su rutina del piano y literal la noche la pasan juntos porque comienzan a dormir en el cuarto de Alessio, él no presiona a Ayla para algo más porque sabe que para ella todo es un proceso bastante lento y diferente, así que bravo le dé espacio. La verdad, Ayla se merece todo lo bonito del mundo. Ejem, pasa algo de tiempo y Ayla se decide a probar otra vez la intimidad con Alessio, porque ya no quiere que su pasado tenga tanto poder sobre ella y es mega claro que se está enamorando, y omggggg sí tienen relaciones pero Alessio fue súper lindo 🥹🥹🥹 Le habla bonito, la trata de manera dulce, súper atento,,, Para ser un hombre de la mafia, dije crjoooo de eso se trata chingá, trátala como merece. Points for him. Pero sí, todo iba muy bien hasta que aparece el papá de Alessio jajajja, Lyov junto con su segundo Isaak, esto trae problemas a Aylessio porque Lyov llega un día a la mansión y Ayla estaba en la cocina y al salir choca con Lyov y queda impactada, Alessio inmediatamente llega a donde estaban y le pone su mano en el hombro lo cual no pasa desapercibido a Ivanshov Sr. Alessio le dice a Ayla que la ve más tarde y sube a su oficina para hablar de asuntos de negocios, pero su papá le reclama que Ayla ya es la debilidad de Alessio, que en su mundo de la mafia no pueden hacer debilidades y que la saque de su vida, la pelea termina en golpes y Alessio queda pensativo y uhhhhhh lo que ocurre después me dio más coraje inclusive que lo que pasó con Niña en el primer libro, porque pasan las horas y llega una de sus empleada a servirle su cena y la muy descarada le dice que lo ve tenso y que lo va a ayudar a relajarse, porque ellos dos ya se habían acostado anteriormente ew, primero Alessio lo rechaza pero llegan las palabras de su padre a la mente sobre todo esa frase que los Ángeles no pertenecen a su mundo y baaaam la agarra y estuvo a nada de mega mega cajetearla afortunadamente no lo hace, pero obvio seguía enojada porque wtfffff, y reconoce que Ayla no merece eso, corre a la tipa y entra Viktor, tú muy bien Viktor de confrontar a Alessio y dejarle claro que o sea Ayla representa mucho para él, que ya se deje de tonteras y que sólo él sabe que Ayla puede ser o su debilidad o fuerza, y es que Alessio confiesa paniqueado que siente mucho y no sabe qué hacer porque perder a Ayla lo espanta, que el plan inicial era sacarle información pero ese plan el mismo día se descarga etc,,,, y qué ocurre después… ajá, Ayla iba a ver a Alessio ve a la tipa saliendo de la oficina de Alessio y escucha lo del plan, se le rompe el corazón y te aplaudo Ayla por hacer sufrir a Alessio. Porque cuando les toca su rutina de piano, Ayla y Alessio pelean, ella no deja que él le de explicaciones porque obvio está sentida, válido. Ugh, además que ella le cuenta más cosas de su pasado, el ambiente se puse muy intenso. El que me siguió sorprendiendo fue Viktor porque OMG al día siguiente besa a Ayla en los pasillos, Alessio lo golpea y jdjdjf, él le explica a Ayla que fue para demostrarle un punto: que a Alessio le importa porque nunca ha sido así de celoso y posesivo, pero de todas formas Ayla sigue con sentimientos encontrados obvio. Ayla castiga a Alessio no yendo a su rutina de piano, Alessio está arrepentido y trata de hablar con Ayla, pero ella no se deja fácil, inclusive se queda con Maddie para poder tener más distancia y pensarlo bien, pero tras otra charla con Maddie, Ayla decide hablar con Alessio en el cuarto del piano y confiesa no le gusta hacer sentir mal a Alessio, pero sigue lastimada por haber tocado a otra mujer y que le de otros días para oír sus explicaciones, claro Alessio se siente desesperado y trata por explicarse otra vez y pedir perdón, pero ve la resistencia de Ayla por lo que concede el tiempo. Ni siquiera pasa la semana y Maddie vuelve a hablar con Ayla porque ya nadie aguanta a Alessio (?) huh lol. Ayla dice que ya ha perdonado a Alessio y va a buscarlo pero él tal cual va por Ayla y se ve más agitado y de plano le dice que ella va a oír su lado de la historia, que no va a permitir más distancia entre los dos, se la lleva en sus hombros y se encierran en su cuarto donde él le cuenta toda su historia de su trauma de perder a su mamá y los miedos que tiene, le confiesa todo respecto a la tontería que hizo y Ayla decide perdonarlo peeeero con su castigo de no tocarse unos días, eso mamonaaaaaa.
Y ugh luego de librarse de una va llegando la Nina y en el típico cliché de chicas pesadas comienza a provocar a Ayla, y Ayla guuuuurrrrllllll se defiende verbalmente y hasta le tira un pastel a la cara, ¿Lo más maduro? No, ¿De una forma u otra Ayla tenía que defenderse? Sí.
Pasan los días y Alessio por fin pasa su castigo, estuvo 😚🥵 que además uhmmm Ayla juega a ser minx, coqueteando un tanto con otros pero lo hace porque cuando tienen lo spicy mientras Alessio está celoso, it’s hot, pretty effing hot. Ya va siendo más libre y confiando más en sí misma.
Un día llega Alessio a decirle que irá a Florida, y quiere que Ayla vaya con él, lo duda un poco pero Alessio le promete cuidarla, llegan a la playa y por supuesto, él compra una casa con playa privada. Qué va, cuando uno tiene dinero, se pueden dar lujos 😎. Ahí ocurre de lo más tierno, cuando Alessio sorprende a Ayla y le piden que bailen en su cuarto 🥹 y ella confiesa que no sabe bailar y él dice que pues tampoco, aaaah, hay algo en los hombres que bailan así no le sepan you know. Cuando Ayla conoce por fin el mar igual, fue muy tiernooooo. Todo súper tierno y claro, el momento perfecto se interrumpe - Ayla estaba por confesarle a Alessio todo y llega Alberto, tirando en cara la identidad de Ayla, pero omg Alessio aún así no deja todo aún lado, sino, se enoja y se siente traicionado pero reconoce que no le importa Ayla sea una Abandonato porque sabe es inocente, su POV de ese punto fue top, pero mi Ayla :c se sentía súper mal porque además mientras digo la importancia del POV de Alessio es porque él hace que Alberto se “vaya” pero deja a Ayla sin oírla, se siente sacado de onda y ahí se revela el verdadero traidor de la mafia rusa, Artur, con engaños hacia ambos (Aylessio) lleva a Ayla a Alberto y hace creer a Alessio que ella se fue voluntariamente pero él ni Viktor o Phoenix o Nikolay creen que eso sea cierto, sobre todo Nikolay porque él andaba de infiltrado. Desde ese punto el resto del libro fue difícil, Alessio anda como loco buscando algo que lo lleve a la ubicación de Ayla pero pasan las semanas y nada, y el POV de Ayla en su captura, qué tristeza, en serio es horrible por lo qué pasa y cuando ocurre lo de su nombre quería yo misma ir hacia Alberto y golpearlo !!!! Es hasta que consiguen a Enzo y a su esposa Anna que medio tienen más pistas pero nada, o sea todos se re quedan en wtf qué ocurre y es Maddie la pieza clave, ay Maddie tampoco se merecía eso :c ella escucha a Artur hablar con Alberto, y obvio Maddie explota pero cuando intenta agarrar su pistola, Artur le dispara primero en el hombro luego más abajo y lo difícil es que ella un día antes se enteró estaba embarazada, Artur escapa por la ventana y ella en intentos grita por Alessio, los hombres buenos entran al rescate y ella le dice a Alessio todo lo que oyó, omg Phoenix entra al cuarto y se le parte el corazón ellos serán una historia de second chance lo sé. Bueno, capturan a Artur, lo torturan y confiesa que Ayla está en casa de Artur, oooh y llega el refuerzo en forma de Nina - mientras no puedo decir es mi favorita mínimo para respeto algo por ayudar en esa misión importante, algo de los comentarios encontré innecesarios pero soy yo siendo celosa 🤠 anyways, en la casa, tras atacar y ganar, primero buscan y nada, hasta que Alessio recibe una bala en la pierna y se resbala con una alfombra descubren una puerta al sótano y ahí está Ayla :c. Alessio obvio queda impactado al verla en su estado y más porque ella está embarazada.

Oh my Gosh! Part 2 was Fantastic!! Lylah out did herself with this one!! The writing was perfect! I was captivated from the very start. It was one twist after another. So many feelings. The suspense and all the build up throughout this book has you on the edge of your seat. If you liked part 1 then you are going to LOVE part 2.
This world is so dark but Ayla brings a light to their lives that can never be replaced. Alessio and Ayla go through so much during this book. They both grow and become stronger together. Between the cute moments, the sexy moments, the serious moments, and the sad moments Alessio and Ayla are always fighting for each other. They have a strong unbreakable connection no matter what secrets they both still have. This book test their strength and commitment like never before.
“Our eyes were connected, but our souls came together too, bonding, holding tight, refusing to ever let go.”
Alessio excepts that Ayla is his Angel and his weakness. He will do anything for her and he will do anything to keep her. Ayla has suffered a lot. Meeting Alessio has been a saving grace. He brings her peace and makes her feel safe. She is finally happy and she wants to stay that way and to stay with Alessio.Their love is wonderful and the Sex is crazy HOT. This couple is so strong and I will love them forever. They both have been thorough so much and they deserve to be happy.
The friendships between all these characters is so wonderful to read about. They really are a family and seeing how protective they are of Ayla is really amazing. Everything that happens in this book is important. The switch in POV from the main characters to others in the book happens for a reason and is written really well. It works perfectly for this series.
I will never be over this book!! I am still screaming over that ending!! Lylah has written an amazing series that you will not want to put down and will leave you thinking about them long after you finish! This book is everything I want. Aylessio is everything I want. I NEED book 3 so bad. It is becoming one of my most Highly Anticipated books of the year that’s how bad I need it.

Oh my Gosh! Part 2 was Fantastic!! Lylah out did herself with this one!! The writing was perfect! I was captivated from the very start. It was one twist after another. So many feelings. The suspense and all the build up throughout this book has you on the edge of your seat. If you liked part 1 then you are going to LOVE part 2.
This world is so dark but Ayla brings a light to their lives that can never be replaced. Alessio and Ayla go through so much during this book. They both grow and become stronger together. Between the cute moments, the sexy moments, the serious moments, and the sad moments Alessio and Ayla are always fighting for each other. They have a strong unbreakable connection no matter what secrets they both still have. This book test their strength and commitment like never before.

Alessio excepts that Ayla is his Angel and his weakness. He will do anything for her and he will do anything to keep her. Ayla has suffered a lot. Meeting Alessio has been a saving grace. He brings her peace and makes her feel safe. She is finally happy and she wants to stay that way and to stay with Alessio.Their love is wonderful and the Sex is crazy HOT. This couple is so strong and I will love them forever. They both have been thorough so much and they deserve to be happy.

Ayla and Alessio. *sigh* just typing out their names make my hearts beat that little bit faster. I came across the first book by pure accident and boy am I glad that I did. Because these two captivated me. They consume me and dragged me into their world with no way to get out. It's the perfect mix of alpha male, suspense and so much hot sex. I love it. The angst and the feelings this book got out of me surprised me.
Mafia romanes have always been one of my favourite novels and this one surpassed every expectation I had. It's borderline cruel how much I love this series and how much it's affected me. I haven't been in that much pain in so long and I loved it! If that doesn't say something about my character, I don't know what does. This book isn't for the emotionally sensitive, it will ruin you and will change you for the worse. It's not something you can come back from, considering the major cliffhanger we're left on. I mean, the book's already torture but to end it like that? Whyyyyyy! I can't wait for the next book! I am so eager and I NEED to know whats gonna happen next!

And Alessio is back!!!! He's everything, he's all she needs. If I could pick up one single word to describe this second part of Alessio and Ayla's story this world be NEED! For them Needing each other is more than an obvious dependence. NEED is the keyword of The Mafia and His angel. It goes above everything, it gets under their skin, owing their soul, mind and body! Is the highest level that feeling could ever go.It real, it's deep, it's constantly burning! Honestly is one of the most intense story I have ever read.It's build on scars, pain, tears, fear and revenge. But somewhere under these huge stones, there is a small light called love, it will grow timidly at first, until it became stronger and stronger. Until it nurse all the scars away. I LOVED this book, hardly and deeply. It makes me breathe and a second later it took my breath away. The main characters, Alessio and Ayla come from a different kind of darkness, but fate got them together. But the past is always there, following them, hunting them, challenging at every step they take. Part 2 ending left me breathless, it broke my heart, but I'm not giving up. My heart is broken in million pieces now, but I'm sure that that incredibly talented lady of Lylah James, will pick up the pieces put them together and make it beat again.
The story is really emotional. And both of the characters made me cry a river! Waiting and craving for the final part of this story.....

Book 2 is the continuation of Ayla and Alesssio's story.
In this book we get more of everything. The twists, the turns, more revelations and more secrets. All the emotions that go with the turmoil surrounding Ayla and Alessio are multiplied by a 100. The brutally raw suspense surrounding the Mafia life is intensified and how it impacted Ayla and Alessio was written flawlessly.
I cannot wait for book 3.

My heart hurts 😞
I made it my goal to finish this book tonight so I could start fresh with book number 3 tomorrow. Now I’m wishing I would have just waited because that ending was painful and I don’t know how I’m going to be able to sleep tonight when I can’t take my mind off of this.

Besties this shit is crack, like pure crack. I can’t believe I didn’t finish this series when I started it, I looooved this so much. Granted this ends in a cliffhanger which means I’ll be reading part 3 immediately but the LOVE, the SPICE, the DRAMA. I’m here for this.

I was super excited to jump back into The Mafia and His Angel (part two) as I was intrigued as to how the author would follow up to that shocking ending at the end of part one. I honestly could not wait nor get enough of this couple. Alessio and Ayla were sweet and sexy and such a fun couple to watch. But that ending, OMG!! I can't wait for part three!
In this book Alessio and Ayla were sweet and very dedicated to each other and despite keeping a HUGE secret from him, Ayla and Alessio continue to get closer which was great. I did however feel that a huge chunk of this book was more relationship driven and focused more on their day-to-day relationship issues. While this was an integral part of the story, a part of me did miss the dominant and scary personality of Alessio in his role as "Pakhan" from book one.
All in all this book was great. Filled with surprise betrayals and drama galore - and that ending - OMG! I cannot wait for book three! Bravo! 4 stars! ~Ratula
